So the good is that the burrito is delicious and the salsas are fresh and tasty. Two small complaints. First, it took about 10 minutes to make my burrito with only a single order in front of me. That is just too long. So if you're in a rush, well, maybe don't be in a big rush. Second, while I know meat prices are up, $16 before tax is a lot for a medium size burrito. If the burrito was huge I'd say fine, but it's just a little small to make me feel it's good value. Maybe for $12. Anyway, the bottom line is the food is very good, I can't imagine someone having a problem with that. But it's a wee bit expensive and a wee bit slow. You can tell they take pride in keeping the dining area nice and welcoming. The staff was friendly, and my food came out quickly. It's always a good sign when a restaurant pays attention to both cleanliness and customer service. I've eaten at a lot of taco places throughout the Bay Area, so I naturally compare every new place to some of my favorites. While El Halal Mexican Restaurant didn't make the top of my list, I still had a good experience and I'm glad I finally gave it a shot.
