Wonderful food (had the Avocado Sandwich, brownie and lemon bar with coffee) and great staff

I love getting coffee and breakfast food items here! I like getting their frappes (avalanche: white chocolate & caramel is one of my go-tos). They have a lot of other coffee options. I think I've seen they have an affogato, I definitely want to try it next time. I've gotten their breakfast burrito and sandwiches! They have a lot of food/drink options on the menu. The staff there are always so nice and friendly. A dog friendly spot for sure! I keep coming back as Morgan Hill does not have a lot of coffee shops. GVA is def a spot to check out!! read more

Mayan mocha was more like a cinnamon flavour which was not to my taste. The replacement caramel machioatto is bad. Food is ok. The breakfast crossiant with turkey was ok and could have been hot and even better. The highlight was the fruit waffle with Nutella. Lost of fruits and balance of Nutella was good. read more

Go for the espresso. Whether it's a cortado, flat white or just a quick single, it's very very good.

I have been wanting to try this place after seeing a friend post his visits a couple of times. I found myself in Morgan Hill yesterday and decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. We ordered at the counter and then went outside to find a table. Our drinks were brought quickly with the breakfast sandwiches following soon after. Portion size was great. Maybe consider splitting a sandwich if you want to leave room for gelato! Coffee drinks were yummy, breakfast sandwiches were delicious, and gelato was amazing. Service was great and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed sitting outside. It was a pleasant experience all around. If you haven't tried this place yet, you should, you won't regret it! I'm definitely going back to try the BLT on a croissant. read more

We recently went for a late lunch. What an incredible experience! The new ambiance is a huge upgrade and the food was absolutely delicious. Each sandwich was better than the last - so fresh tasting and perfect ratios of meats, veggies, condiments, etc. It is impossible for me to pick a favorite! Now - on to the coffee! I had the Roman's Gold which was so mellow but packed a punch! Love that sweet cold foam! Finished off with a divine piece of homemade carrot cake...we didn't get a chance to take a pic! I've been here so many times before and the coffees were awesome. I came In today and ordered a Mayan mocha and as I drove off I decided to try it and it was gross. It tasted like burnt coffee, could not taste any mocha, no chocolate nothing but burnt coffee, which was disappointing especially when u pay $7.64 for a coffee you can't enjoy. I would have gone back but I was cutting it short on my lunch break. read more

I loooooved this place as a car enthusiast. Such a cool special location! But apparently there are new owners- painted over the car mural, removed all the cute car decor. It's no longer Grinds Vines and Automobilia, just Grinds Vines. Sad to see a place lose what made it different due to gentrification. Cool drinks, lots of variety. But if you're here for ambiance, id recommend finding an alternate location. read more

End of an era. I had hoped that under new ownership this spot would remain mostly the same, but would expand their hours. Unfortunately, they went from having the best affogatos to having a very sad excuse for an affogato. I was seriously sad when I saw them place it on the counter. Like I went from being excited to disappointed as soon as I saw it. Y'all ruined a good thing, and should think about what you've done. read more

This place is under new ownership. Looks a little cleaner and more organized now, but was still a good spot before. Great sandwiches, and 5 star gelato. The gelato is worth a trip. Staff have always been nice and friendly under old and new ownership. Fair prices, comparatively. read more

I've become a regular here. I love coming for my breakfast burrito. I decided to add avocado today, which makes it the Cali burrito. I love this place so much and rave about their burritos to anyone who will listen. I have bought a burrito for my brother and mom because they are just sooo good! Plus, it's healthier than a bagel lol. read more

The Vanilla Bean gelato lived up to its name! It was cool, refreshing, and did not melt fast. A small size should be enough for one person unless you are really hungry. Overall, a solid gelato for a reasonable price ($3.99). Came in around 1 PM and was served immediately. Was able to find seating and the store is relatively clean. read more

We love this place and go almost every weekend for breakfast. This is the second time this has happened, and it's been the same female employee. We love their gelato, and the first time we bought a large, it was filled halfway. The sign says 3 scoops, so I get it, but it's the tiniest 3 scoops I've ever had. This time, we bought a pint for $10.99, and as you can see, it's not filled again! Maybe I was spoiled because previous times that I've purchased Gelato and not by this female employee, it was filled at least to the top. Anyone have the same experience? read more

So glad we found this place in Morgan Hill (cla short driving distance from our Marriott a courtyard stay). I got a tasty bowl here (Gluten free) and appreciated the modifications (without cheese) and husband got a tasty burrito. Our drinks were great and caffeine fueled. It was nice to sit inside and out of the cold. I noticed lots of delicious gelato options here too! Service was fast and friendly! read more

Came for a lunch meeting and was greeted by amicable staff. It was very warm inside for a nice, chilly day outside. The theme of the restaurant is cool. Ambiance for our door seating was good, next to main Street, not too noisy but bustling with cars. Chai tea latte was great (a little on the sweeter side) and the turkey sandwich on sourdough hit the spot. The prices are also very competitive and economically friendly for proportion. This place used to be a very friendly & inviting place. Staff used to be welcoming & would take the time with customers so they had an enjoyable visit. Not sure who put up the flag showing support for BLM, but thankfully it's down now. It's probably no longer affords as many activist points as it used too. Recently my family tried to get ice cream and it was 2:03. Sign says closed at 2:00 but the doors were unlocked & employees inside were just chit chatting. In the middle of the day on a 90+ day outside they refused to serve my kids & simply went back to talking. Customer service could use a refresher course. The 3 stars are for the gelato cuz it's still good. Just hopefully no Law Enforcement go in while in uniform..... read more

GVA is our favorite coffee and lunch spot in Morgan Hill. Their pour overs are great, and the Veggie Delight sandwich with added turkey breast is fantastic and generous enough to share. This review is long overdue. Since moving to Morgan Hill GVA has been our go to coffee places when we want to treat ourselves. I have a sensitive stomach and some coffees can be too acidic but not GVA's. I love their lattes and options of syrups. The customer service here is AMAZING! I forgot to mention I wanted my latte Iced and I was ready to pay because obviously it was my fault but they remade it for me and didn't charge me. So sweet!! Our pup also loves joining us, they have a little doggie grass patch outside for them to do their business and outdoor seating. Check them out! read more

This adorable downtown location is great. Outside to get some fresh air and Main Street action.... I tried the avocado toast ( 1 slice was plenty) with sliced egg, bacon & feta!! smashing!!! Yummmy! Yes!! A must have!! I happened to stop here on a road trip recently, looking on Yelp for someplace to get a sandwich that had gluten free bread. This place sounded great and I was happy to see GF was a option. I called to make sure they had it (as some places advertise but the time I go there they are "out") and they said they did. The food options were many! We had a turkey sandwich in GF that was to die for. It was fresh turkey, not deli meat and I WISH I could ever bake a turkey to come out so perfectly moist. It was so good and seemed made with care. We enjoyed some delicious iced lattes (lots of flavors to choose from) and I noticed on the way out they had baked goods including a brownie that was GF and vegan. The service and friendliness of the staff was way above average. I may have stumbled in this time but next time I go near I will definitely plan to go back to Grinds! read more
