Came here after getting hungry cycling, parking is terrible so I recommend just biking here because there are cycling stands outside this cafe, unfortunately the tables outside are dusty and not as cute as the ones inside. Mainly was attracted by the amazing matcha drink pictures and found out it cost extra for the pretty ceremonial grade matcha sprinkle on top so I opted for the normal version- which was actually really, really well mixed and tasty - so highly recommend as a cold drink for a nice sunny day! Honestly the pastries were okay and kinda $$$...I would stick to the drinks. They warmed up my almond croissant to the point of it becoming dry/tough and also got a thin roll danish that looked kinda meh, that I thought maybe tasted better than it looks but was very small and a bit stale. I can see this spot is popular with visitors and the servers were all very nice about it despite the sudden influx of people flooding in and standing around with long bouts of menu analysis paralysis.

The most amazing black cup of coffee I've ever drunk.

This review is for BOTH the Unique coffee as well as the manager Jordan. I'm pretty picky and when I became a coffee drinker aprox 18 years ago - coffee was never great to me unless it had vanilla flavoring, sugar of different kinds, a huge variety of creamer options, or a combination of all three. NEVER did I EVER enjoy (only tolerated) a cup of black coffee, until the other day here. A friend who I was meeting to discuss Real Estate here decided that she had to buy me a cup. I told her to get a small cup of black only. She returned to the table with a large cup of black that I not only nursed like a Martini while we were talking, but the cup was so large and so delicious that I saved some for the following day and drank the leftover amount cold directly from the same paper cup - another first ever for me. When I returned back an hour later to ask Jordan what brand/flavor that I as in that cup her reply was that it was very unique. It was partially filled with the self pouring Treasury Airpot and then topped off with Portfolio Pour Over! Thank you Jordan!!

Topping off after breakfast with my fave Heart of Darkness w/extra half/half. The best pour over when I'm feeling sluggish a Quick pick me up before my flight home. GVA a great place for coffee or just a bite for breakfast/Lunch.

Cozy lil coffee shop with cute retro interior! Got the iced blueberry coffee. We ordered on the kiosk and our order took a bit of time to come out but the staff looked hard at work and were friendly! Yummy flavor and strong coffee that kept me at a good energy buzz the rest of the day.

    DELICIOUS!!

First time here under the new ownership. My friend and I both ordered the bowl (see photo). Probably the most silky tasty perfect perfectly cooked scrambled eggs with cheese (also topped with sausage pieces and a sliced avocado) that I've ever had in my entire life. There's a huge variety of coffee there also. Jordan was extremely helpful and friendly . Looking forward to visiting again !!

Love this little cafe/coffee shop stop. Covid has killed some good life vibes in downtown Morgan Hill during pandemic, so weekends these days are a blessing if you come this way. GVA Cafe is in an old corner building/landmark of downtown. You can't miss it. Plenty of available patio tables and chairs outside as well as inside. This place used to be bustling with excitement and many more customers. It was quiet after lunch today. Self order at kiosks. Pastries are at the front counter. Customers are mainly locals and tourists. I had the best cup of hot apple cider here. It's great for sweet autumn and November vibes. Cashier forgot my cider, so I reminded her about it. Iced matcha latte was ok. I enjoy the interior environment. Not huge, but happy and cozy inside. Prices are up these days, but it's still a relaxing stop to chill. Having GVA cafe here in a walkable and noticeable part of downtown Morgan Hill is amazing. Imagine hikers and bikers stopping by to grab and go. No lines or crowds today. Perfect time.

Aesthetically pleasing. This super cute small cafe shop was wonderful. We stopped by earlier today, around noon and they were quite busy but they managed to prepare this scrumptious Breakfast Croissant expeditiously! This was our first visit, but after today, we'll definitely be coming back for more! Definitely pay this spot a visit if you're in the area or plan to be, it's a HIT not a miss ;)

This is what an affogato looks like now. Half the size. No toppings. In a comically large cup. $8.50.

I'm not sure what happened. We usually came here for coffee/affogato on a lazy weekend. We hadn't been in since the new owners. We got 2 affogato today, $8.50 each. It's literally half the gelato and half the coffee that it used to be. NO whip cream. NO caramel or chocolate syrup. The comically large cup just makes it look even more pathetic. I'm not sure that we will be back. It tasted as good as it used to but I think we'll find somewhere else or I'll just make one at home.

Saturday morning and ready for some great tasting food. Ambience is relaxed and laidback. Service is always good and fast. Employees are friendly and helpful. Place was very busy and the employees were really good at getting those orders out. Food was made fresh as we ordered it. Everything was tasty and satisfying, great choice for some good food. Ordered the breakfast bagel, breakfast burrito, BLT one with avocado and one without, finished off with a fruit waffle. They always have the best bacon here, its crunchy and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend this place when your in Downtown Morgan Hill.

There was a piece of a broken glove in my order as well as a long hair in the bag with my pickle. Disgusting.

When the order came, it had sweet potatoes fries instead of shoe string fries. Again, simple things but the order was incorrect. His name is Christian, I would not get him again period! The ambience is pretty nice, they have nice animal pictures throughout the restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating, a full walk up or sit down bar, and TV's. 3 stars. #3. The service was fantastic, glasses constantly being refilled, asked us if we wanted more bread and butter and our server made some great recommendations "5 Stars" The Food: #1. They gave us 2 nice warm bread rolls with a room temperature salted butter cube. The bread at first tasted salty but then my palate caught up and oh snap! this bread was good!! 5 Stars! #2. The server recommended the beef Wellington. "I ordered it med rare, it came to me med rare" it comes with mashed potatoes and longstem broccoli with cherry tomatoes, and a wine/vinegar reduction for the Wellington. The broccoli had a nice crispness to it and were seasoned perfectly, the cherry tomatoes added some brightness. The mashed potatoes were silky smooth and paired perfectly with the Wellington. NOW THE BEEF WELLINGTON: OH MY .....GOSH!!! My eyes rolled back into my head, it was so good!! The beef was as soft as butter, I could have used a butter knife to cut it (not kidding) and it melted in my mouth. The seasoning with the dough and the spinach with the mushrooms inside nearly caused a wet dream (if you get my point) "and don't even get me started on their reduction sauce for the Wellington!" The waiter walked up to me and smiled and said "and I quote"... gives you goosebumps, right? Oh he knew, HE KNEW!! 5++++ Stars! #3. Wifey ordered the Grilled Salmon salad. She ate the Salmon so fast that I barely had a chance to taste it. She said she really liked it, now I did get a chance to taste the salad and I must say that it was so good that it could have been a stand alone dish. Again 5 Stars. #4. And for dessert we had tiramisu. It came plated beautifully with a raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, whipped cream, and a beautiful orchid flower. The flavor while not the best I've had was still pretty darn good 4 Stars. Overall food and dining experience at the restaurant easily hits 5 stars! Total bill for said food - tip $124 pricewise I felt it was well worth it. Oh I will be back!

Another sign states that Betsy's has been serving this community since 1981. I was greeted immediately upon entering and advised to "just sit anywhere." I grabbed the first booth I encountered and was brought water and menu right away. The waitress took my order of a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings ($16.50). A few minutes later the onion rings of my dreams (super crispy on the outside and a real onion rings inside with enough crunch left that you can bite through without dragging a soggy onion out of its outer shell, so each mouthful is both onion and crunchy coating) arrived and a sandwich with crispy (not soggy, underdone) bacon, hefty burger patty (done just how I like them with carmelized edges and perfectly done thick center) with cheese, pickles, red onions, lettuce and mayo. I asked them to leave off the tomato due to my food allergies. The bun was soft but held up well to the heft of the sandwich. The decor was classic 60's style diner. While the seats were well padded and the covering looked practically new, some of the tables showed the wear of the years on the corners. There is also a short lunch counter next to the kitchen. What really caught my attention is the staff seemed to know most of the guests and greeted them by name as they came and went and inquired into different aspects of their lives. This personal touch reflects what seems to be a long-time relationship with dedicated customers. Parking is close to the door. This place was a little hard for me to find as it is behind the bowling alley at Tennant Station Shopping center, but was well worth the effort to locate and enjoy. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed one of the slushies was non-alcoholic so I might try that next time. We ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger with Chili Cheese Fries and the Supreme wood-fired pizza. The burger was fantastic! The BBQ sauce was delicious, the bacon and onion rings were crispy, and the fries were great. I enjoyed the chili, but I didn't think the cheese sauce or sour cream really stood out. I thought the crust on the pizza was perfect, I really enjoyed the wood-fired vibe and fresh toppings. This would probably be my favorite pizza if they used better mozzarella. For now, Bizza is holding the top spot for me since they use Butcher's Son mozzarella, and in my opinion, it's the best vegan mozzarella sub I've ever had from pizza spots so far.
