As a motorcycle owner with limited motorcycle knowledge, I needed a moto mechanic who was knowledgeable, reliable, but most of all, honest. Admittedly, "affordable" would've been a major plus! Thank the Lord that I found Ron because he possesses all of those qualities and more at the highest quality. My Yamaha V-Star 650 Custom I recently picked up was running a little odd with sticking gears and such. A Jeep had also dropped me and bent the bike up a bit so it definitely needed some tending to. Ron was literally the only mechanic I spoke to that really took the time to diagnose my problems and let me know what was necessary and what wasn't. According to him, there was much less required to get it back up and running in top shape. Certainly much less than what other mechanics made me believe was needed. And at a bargain of the cost! Ron runs Mojo Moto out of his own home, but don't let the modest shop fool you! The expertise and skill of the man behind it all is truly extraordinary and unmatched. This was without a doubt, my best experience servicing a vehicle of any kind with anyone. The bike runs better than ever and looks as good as new. You would never be able to tell the bike took a fall. Amazing work from an amazing mechanic! I also want to add that Ron was actually booked solid about a week out at the time I needed the bike fixed, but I was also going to be in Hawaii for an extended period of time and was hoping to have it ready to ride by the time I got back. He was kind enough to let me store the bike with him throughout that entire duration without a second thought. When dropping off and picking up my bike, he welcomed me into his workshop where it became even more evident that this truly is his passion. Short Version - It took Ron 20 minutes to diagnose a problem that's plagued me for 5,200 miles and completely confounded licensed Yamaha dealers, and it took him only 40 hours to fix it and for me to have my bike back. Long Version - After my 8K service, my 1854cc Raider started running ragged in 1st through 3rd, lost significant acceleration in 4th, and lost acceleration and top speed in 5th. It also lost about 20+ miles of range on a full tank (or about 5 MPG). I took the bike immediately back to Mission Motorcycles, who said there was nothing wrong, no matter what I said. In the 5,200 miles since, it's been to Berkeley Yamaha twice as well, and they likewise said -- twice -- they could find nothing wrong. About six days ago, I talked to Ron on the phone and described the symptoms. A few minutes later, he called me back and told me about a valve on my exhaust that could be causing the entire issue. I took the bike in to him, he investigated, and -- ta-da! -- that valve existed, and the cable that controlled it opening and closing had broken. Ron locked the valve open, letting me know that it wasn't really necessary to the functioning of my bike, I picked up my bike, and ... The bike sounds and feels like brand-new in 1st through 3rd, and acceleration and top speed are both back to where they were, pre-8K service. I have no reason to believe my MPG won't show the same improvement. He's fast, and he REALLY knows his stuff. His prices are very reasonable. read more

I was looking for local motorcycle shops near me, and Mojo Moto happened to be less than ten minutes away. The install I needed to do was a new chain, so I inquired about the process. I was able to schedule a viewing of my bike for recommendations, and the work was done in the same day. The mechanic's name is Ron. He is awesome. So I brought the parts and he had the new chain done within the hour. Super fast install and he explained the work he did to me, and things to look out for in the future. He showed me lots of pictures from his previous builds and work and he does excellent work. I highly recommend Ron for your motorcycle work if you are like me and aren't too mechanically savvy. Ron is my new go-to motorcycle mechanic and I trust him with my bike. A lot of other dealers or shops will try to overcharge for labor, but the price was right and Ron took care of my problems without any issues. I will definitely be coming back for all my future work. I don't normally write reviews on here, but I will for Moto Mojo because that's how great they were to me. Called them up, told Ron I have a 99 CBR F4 that needs a Valve Adjustment. Asked me why do I think I need one, told him I feel it's needed. So he told me to bring it over and he'll take a look because he won't know if I really need one until it's taken apart. I bring it over, right off the bat Ron informs me on what I need to know about Valve Adjustments along with his work history/background, that really made me comfortable as a customer. Long story short; I came for a diagnosis for a valve adjustment, and left with a coolant replacement, new fuel line and fuel filter, synchronized carb, working brake lights, and more not mentioned. All at a very affordable price!!! Also, they'll send you pictures of your bike to keep you updated. If Ron tells you he'll take care of you, take his word for it! He'll tell you what you need/want to know, ask for your confirmation on certain things before going further with the process. Ron and his wife Cheryl are very professional, honest, welcoming, knowledgeable, and nice. I'll be keeping in touch with them for future maintenance, and will highly recommend them. Back again for more work on my bike and this time it's putting new handle bars and grips. Ron Is very meticulous with his work. He takes the time to make sure everything is done right and looks clean. I like that he will give you an honest opinion on how your bike will look. To me it's always good to have another opinion. I bought one set of handlebars and in looking at the first time on the bike it wasn't the right one. It didn't feel right and with Ron's input his suggestion was to change the bar. I agree with him so I went and ordered another set of handle bars. I got a pair of handgrips for free and we contemplated how it would look on the bike. After he put the new handlebars in and put the new grips in the new grips actually made it look a lot better. His work on the Handlebar was very clean. Again he took care of my bike did a great job and I left a very happy camper. I met this 2 beautiful Godly man and woman just by God's own divine intervention and all I can say is my motorcycle is in good hands. Ron was so helpful and updates and pictures of what is happening on my 1996 GSXR 750, is being sent to me on a daily basis. He is in constant communication with me on all areas of the repair and when I got my bike I was so impressed. After 2 weeks of enjoying the bike, i saw an oil leak and I gave Ron a call. I ca't believe the service that was rendered to me. He took the bike from my office, drove it to his shop without charging me anything. My bike is in good hands with him. First off, I must say this is the most skilled, talented, honest, and hard working mechanic. His name is Ron. Every time he works on my bikes, he always fixes the problem, and tells you straight up and honestly what the best solution is so that you do not waste your time, money, and energy. Ron puts his heart into all the bikes he does, and treats every bike like if it were his own. When you talk to him, he is one of the most humble people you will meet. I feel like I've known him my whole life just because he makes me feel so welcome and comfortable. You get this feeling that he sincerely and genuinely cares about you. I was looking for someone to change the tires on my CBR and came across Mojo Moto on here. I contacted Ron and headed over to his place. When I arrived I could immediately tell Ron is extremely knowledgeable and truly passionate. He gave me his educated opinion on the tires I purchased and also gave me the pros and cons of many other tires out there. We ended up spending at least 30 minutes "talking shop".
