I told him about the battery light and he asked if I could bring it in around 1pm since they were pretty booked that day. After bringing in the car, it took about 40 minutes until they were able to come up with a diagnosis for me - the alternator needed replacing. La Lo gave me a quote for the repair, and even did some research to see if he can get better pricing for the part, which he did. He saved me a few hundred dollars, which was much appreciated. He told me I would be able to credit the cost of the diagnosis ($85) towards the repair. I brought the car in for repair the following Tuesday (Monday was a holiday). My wife's car works great now, thanks to DAS Auto! From the initial call, to the in-person interaction, you could tell they care about their customers. Even hearing how they speak to other customers in their shop, they're very honest about the repair (La Lo even told one customer the cost of his repair and that more than likely they might find other things wrong if they went through with it). Then my appointment had to be moved to August 25 at 3:00 PM. If the shop cannot handle that many alignment appointments, the online booking system should not allow customers to schedule them. I dropped by to get a quote for some preventative maintenance that I was getting done on my Honda Odyssey EXL minivan. I had printed out the things I wanted done mainly because I had just acquired the vehicle several months earlier and in reviewing its history of maintenance by the previous owners I saw there were some things that needed to be done that had never been done. So I made a list of having the timing belt replace the serpentine belt replace the water pump replaced the rollers and tensioners for both the serpentine belt and the timing belts replaced. So when I dropped in with the list they very nicely offered to give me the cost and contact me with the total. I explained to them that I was retired on social security so I really did need to know what the out the door amount would be for just having those specific things replaced. Not too long later that day I got a text as I had requested of the complete total out the door and it was quite reasonable. Anyway a few weeks later I made the appointment for the preventative maintenance just the week before when I was going to bring it by. The service was excellent and I will tell you one of the most wonderful things about this place is you step inside their repair facility and it's like stepping into the family owned repair garages that I knew when I was a kid and a young fellow. On the phone, I spoke with Hermes who is a genuinely nice, honest person and very knowledgeable and professional. I explained to him that I previously brought my car to the dealer due to getting a dashboard alert for a brake system malfunction. Per the dealer, I was told I needed to replace the master cyclinder and get a brake fluid flush. The dealer's quoted repair estimate was ~$1,746. They also recommended a few routine maintenance things (i.e., replacing the front/rear wipers and the cabin/engine air filters). If I were to have gone through the dealer, for parts and labor, it would've cost ~$307! Hermes took the time to explain to me in detail the possible causes for my car's brake issue (it was very interesting and informative) and the break down of the costs. The quote he gave me for the brakes was MORE THAN HALF the price of the price estimate I got from the dealer!
