Spicy poke and Beef Teriyaki, scoops rice and scoop Mac salad
    Linda R.

Great Hawaiian food. Got the beef teriyaki plate. Cooked to perfection. Came with two scoops of rice sprinkled with furikake and one generous scoop of Mac salad. Portions are huge. Reminds me of Leeward Drive Inn in Oahu. We also ordered Spicy ahi poke. Again, huge portion. It was served in a saimin bowl. It was mildly spicy, the ahi was very fresh. 2 thumbs up. Broke da mouth kine! The service was awesome. But you need to go the register to order like L&L.

If you're not getting their dole whip at the end of your dinner what are you even doing?!

    Loco moco and fried fish

Ordered the loco moco and the fried fish. Neither were very good. The dole whip was delicious though and the girl at the counter was very friendly. I would say it's definitely not a good value for your money but maybe if you order the right thing you'll have better luck. The loco moco didn't have enough gravy, the eggs were overdone, the meat was bland and rubbery. It's nice in there though! The smoothie was also very good if a little over sweet. Overall small portions too.

One of our favorite local eats! My first time eating in the place rather than doing take out, and was a cute spot! Hawaiian vibes were perfect! We tried many items, and literally nothing disappointed! Definitely recommend if you need a Hawaiian food fix. The Macaroni salad was perfect too!!

Had dinner with my mom and sister here on Friday evening and we were excited for some yummy Hawaiian food. We arrived and waited in line to order as there was a family ordering before us and only one person manning the register. Once our turn, we ordered: One two meat plate - Chicken katsu, Kalua pork, macaroni salad, and white rice One meat plate - Kalua pork, macaroni salad, white rice One Spam Masubi One pizookie with ice cream We didn't wait too long and the food was brought to our table. The food came out hot and the portions were decent. We dug in. The Kalua pork was cooked perfectly but needed flavor. It was missing some type of seasoning. The chicken katsu was my favorite as it was flavored, crunchy, and crispy - mmmm. The macaroni salad didn't have any flavor and was bland. The white rice was cooked well and the spam masubi was really basic. The pizookie was pretty good but after a few bites it became a little too sweet, so we only ate half. There are several tables set up inside and an outdoor patio. There were a few patrons dining in and several to go orders so it was a pretty busy night. Service was good. I'm glad we checked this place out. I will be back for some more Chicken Katsu and Chicken Katsu only.

Klaus pork, cabbage salad, white rice.

My husband and I found this place last night after searching on the maps for Hawaiian food. The service was attentive, helpful, and friendly! The atmosphere made you feel like you weren't in Phoenix anymore, like just visiting a local beach or something. We ordered the food to take home and the presentation was perfect, and the food was 10/10 delicious. I ordered the Kalua pork, cabbage salad, white rice. My husband ordered the chicken, beef, spinach salad, and white rice. We are already planning on eating there again!

It's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall, and I've probably passed it a gazillion times and never even noticed it was there. My friend had called the day before to see if there was anything gluten-free on the menu. They were so helpful when we showed up. They had remembered her call and could tell her exactly what was gluten free. This is a very casual order at the counter kind of place. The dining room is simple, but that's okay because the focus is on the yummy food. They have single plates and double plates on the menu. I got a plate that had kalbi and kalua pork. It was served with white rice, macaroni salad, and kimchi. It was amazing! The pork tasted Smoky and delicious, the kalbi beef had just the right amount of sweetness to it. The macaroni salad was also perfect. I got quite a bit of food for my money. I was able to make it into two meals because there was no way I was going to finish it in one sitting. I really like Hawaiian food, and this one is so much better than some of the chain restaurants. It's slightly more in price, but it's 100% worth it. We sat and talked for a couple hours at least. While we were sitting, there was a period when every table was taken. So it does seem like quite a few people know about this place and come. I highly recommend it!

We were able to replace the sides with more rice at no extra charge for the plate which was really nice. Honestly, it was way too much rice, so next time I'd just omit the sides altogether if I was to reorder this. The mini katsu was more than enough as well. Each piece was perfectly crispy. I loved the steamed veggies. They were unseasoned and balanced out the katsu very well. Worth the price (which was very accurate to the meal and the quality).

The chicken was really good and cooked pretty much perfectly. It doesn't have that "char" to it that Hawaiian's cook it like (if you know, you know), but it was cooked almost perfectly imo. The rice wasn't a true Hawaiian sticky rice, but close enough. It almost had more of an Asian texture to it. But it was still good. There was a lot of food, of which I'd expect from a Hawaiian spot. The teriyaki sauce was pretty tasty. It wasn't the best teriyaki sauce I've ever had, but it's a lot better than Ono's Hawaiian BBQ (their chicken teriyaki is trash!). The service was good and fast! The inside was clean and tidy. Was it the best I've ever had? No. But it's good enough to share it with my friends, invite them to go, and go back myself. I'll need to try the chicken katsu and bbq short ribs next time.

This might be the BEST Hawaiian food I have ever had. It was SO good. We both got combo plates: mine was with katsu, char siu, spicy garlic chicken, and BBQ beef; my husband got the same, except instead of katsu, he got kalbi ribs. It was fantastic! All of the meats tasted so good, the mac salad was delicious and everything has top tier quality and taste. But I think my favorite and the star of the show is the poké. We tried two different kinds: a half pound of Hawaiian style (right) and a half pound of fried crunchy garlic (left). OMG it was heavenly! Such fresh fish and amazing flavors. I absolutely LOVED them both and wanted to eat pounds of it if I could. I want to try ALL the flavors! They had about six different poké flavors and indicated that the Surprise location would have way more, roughly double that and I am so excited about that. They also have bento boxes, burgers, poke bowls, lumpia, spam musubi (including deep fried), and an assortment of desserts. They also do weekly rotating specials; this week was loco moco specials and there were a lot of different ones to try. Chef Blaise Aki came to our table and chatted with us and he is awesome. Takes pride in his food and his customer service (which was top notch, by the way). He is an awesome chef and his food is amazing! We ordered the rib special with the guava BBQ sauce and the combo plate with chicken and beef. Both were absolutely amazing! The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. As a bonus, they gave us a free order of katsu chicken to try, and it was mouthwatering--the best I've ever had. What really made the experience special was how the owners treated us. They made us feel like family, not just customers. It's rare to find food this delicious paired with such genuine hospitality. Pacific Rim has definitely earned a permanent spot on our family's list of favorite restaurants. We can't wait to come back! Thank you.
