    Fish taco combo plate
    Lisa L.

I ordered the 2 fish taco plate for lunch (comes with rice and beans). It was very good with the way they dress it up, I enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend getting the fish tacos. I will be back to try other things on their menu Honorable Mentions: -Plenty of parking -Seating avail inside -Accepts credit card

The food was delicious, and I would come back. I got the carne asada burrito, which is great because it comes with rice and beans. The prices are still reasonable for what you are getting. 10 out of 10.

Food was good and fair price. Had a chili relleno combination. Also had a carne asada burrito. Will come back.

I only stopped in here for street tacos one day. I would have to say that definitely need a bit of a remodel inside as it's not too inviting. However, the food and the service is on par here. Even with just ordering a few tacos, I got a basket of fresh tortilla chips and fresh salsa as well. Although, there isn't a salsa bar here but the tacos come with plenty of the fixins' that you may want.

Local place near me. I've gone here for several years now and the food is always good. Freshly cooked. Best beans and rice around. My favorite is the chile rellano

Ok wow. This place is a California unicorn. Great food with a great price. $10 combination meals? Didnt know they existed in Cali. Got 2 chimichangs (one beef, one chicken) and what the hell, for this price throw in a taco also. Add an ice tea and the price is still $18. I think its the first meal I had here under $20. So left me start with the best part.....the free chips and salsa. Usually you know what to expect with these freebies, but these are off the charts. For the first time I found myself with no chips to use on the beans when the meal came. And the salsa? Can I get some in a bottle to go? Perfect blend and not real spicy. One of the best I have had anywhere. While the salsa was good and mild, the beef was a little on the spicy side. While the level was not too much for me, I know it would be too much for my wife. She wasn't here with me though, so no damage done. They may want to turn it down just a little though. The chicken didn't seem as spicy and had a good overall flavor. Even without chips left, I finished the rice and beans. I usually leave these behind, but not here. If you're looking for some good cheap Mexican food......this is the place.

He took our orders on his computer order system. But then he came back and said it didn't register so needed to redo some of our orders. He then told us his shift was ending and another girl would be taking over service of our tables. Then the food started coming out. Some plates we didn't even order. Some plates were extra plates of what we ordered. Tortillas came with the plates and I ordered corn tortillas, but they gave me flour. I asked for corn and returned the flour. The server said he has to charge me for it. I asked why? I didn't get what I ordered. I shouldn't have to pay extra for something I'm supposed to get, but didn't. He initially didn't understand, but finally got it. Food was good. One person's carne asada was burnt and tough, but others said what they ordered was good. Glass of wine was a bit skimpy for the price. Then the bill came. We triple checked the bill to make sure we weren't charged for anything we didn't order since there were so many plates that came out that we didn't order. Turned out a plate of chile verde was on the bill that we didn't order. Had our new server take it off the bill, but the automatic 18% gratuity didn't change. It was based off the original total because she took off the cost of the extra charge as a discount not a deleted item. The bill was finally cleared, but it should not have been so much work for us to make sure the bill was correct. In the end, consensus was the food was good, but the service was dysfunctional, between the multiple mis-orders and multiple requests for napkins, utensils, tortillas, and chips and the questions about the bill. Maybe okay for smaller groups or if you do go with a larger group, ask to do separate bills.

Decided to drop in and was delighted to know their Taco Tuesday special is $1 street tacos for a select handful of 8 protein fillings and $2 for 6 other choices. Even their regular price is still very reasonable. There was definitely a line around 6pm but it moved quickly. Love that they also have a self service taco condiments bar and area on the side of their truck where you can top your food with the freshly sliced or pickled veggies/chilis and slather on various taco sauces to your heart's content. Especially loved that they use a rotating gyro style meat grill for some of their meats. I also noticed they had another truck/van parked nearby where one of the staff would go to replenish some of their supplies for their taco truck. What an efficient way to keep up with demand by having a mobile/secondary vehicle that you can use for storage of stock to keep up with the high demand. I loved all the street tacos that I tried: carnitas, fried fish filet, al pastor, carne asada. Flavorful and done right! Definitely recommend this spot any day of the week when they're open, but especially for their Taco Tuesday specials.

Just visited the new Los Grandes Originales in Santa Ana, and we'll definitely be back!…read more We had heard of the original location but never had the chance to visit, so we were excited to try this one. We learned that the owners here are the original cooks and siblings of the late owner of the first location, which made the experience feel even more meaningful. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted. Since it was our first visit, we took our time looking over the menu, and the cashier was incredibly patient and never made us feel rushed. We ended up ordering a burrito combo, a chile relleno combo, a hard taco and enchilada combo, two taco combos, and a few horchatas. The portions are definitely generous, and everything we tried was packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and has plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. While we were waiting for our food, one of the owners came over and chatted with us about the restaurant's history. He shared that after the original owner passed away, many of the longtime cooks and staff decided to come together and open this new location, continuing the recipes and traditions they had been serving for years. Hearing that story, along with the genuine warmth and hospitality we experienced, made us appreciate the restaurant even more. It's not often that you find great food paired with such sincere customer service. They made us feel like regulars from our very first visit. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, generous portions, and a family-owned business that truly cares about its customers, Los Grandes Originales is definitely worth a visit. Wishing them nothing but success!
