Hands down, this was the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside while staying soft on the inside. The meat tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. It was a little greasy, but in the best way possible--it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the same sandwich and agreed that it's the best Cuban we've had so far. I also tried a non-alcoholic mango daiquiri, which was refreshing and full of flavor. The plantains were another standout and the best I've had in the city to date. This is definitely a place I'd return to for the Cuban sandwich alone. Everything I saw being served to other tables looked incredible as well. If you're visiting Little Havana, I highly recommend stopping by and giving this place a try. It's a spot that lives up to the hype. I wish we had this place is Phoenix. I'm going to miss it.

Just how a perfect fry should taste! Everyone really liked the vaca frita! I think that's a must try! It's shredded beef marinated in this delicious citrus marinate. Our server, Diego, was incredibly attentive and really went above and beyond. At times it almost felt like he was trying too hard to make sure we were happy, but honestly, we appreciated the effort! We started with the empanadas and the avocado salad with chicken. The chicken on the salad was disappointing. It had the texture and appearance of previously frozen/reheated chicken rather than the freshly grilled chicken we were expecting. For our entrées, we tried both the steak and a chicken dish. Unfortunately, neither worked for us. Both lacked the flavor we were expecting and instead seemed to rely heavily on salt. We ended up not finishing either dish. The cocktails didn't save the evening either. I started with a lychee martini, which wasn't as good as I had hoped, followed by a Mai Tai that also could have been better. I also saw my drink being taste-tested twice at the bar before it was brought over, which admittedly left me a little unsure about drinking it afterward. And then... THE FLAN! Finally, something I can rave about. They make a VERY good flan, and it was easily the highlight of our dinner. That's all I'll say! :) Overall, the ambiance was great, the music was fun, Diego worked hard to make sure we were taken care of, and the flan was excellent. Unfortunately, when it came to the actual entrées and cocktails, the experience just didn't deliver for us. When I think of Molina's I would always think of the little restaurant that had very attentive waiters. The food was a little better than your normal cuban restaurant. Now fast forward to the bigger and "better" Molina's. Bigger is not always better. The food has declined to about the same or even worse than the 5 cafeteria's that are around this place. The waiters here have the worst attitude! I went there today and sat for 15 mins before anyone came to take our order. When the waiter did come, some 50 yr old guy that looks like he is shooting up on steroids and I guess had some roid rage today. It wasn't a hello how are you doing today can I take your order. It was a what do you want to eat. So we wait another 20 mins for a media noche and fish. Once the food comes out the waiter continues with his attitude and literally throws the plates onto our table. He never came by until we were done eating, never refilling water or anything. The attitude is still there when he asked if we wanted a desert or the check. We asked for flan which of course was thrown at our table when it came out. Flan was about the only thing that was decent. We asked for a side salad to go which was three pieces of lettuce and one tomato and they charged us $3.95 for it. So our bill was $31.50 and we left him 10% and note saying he should smile more next time. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Service sucks, the food is overpriced!! read more

I recently dined at Molina's Ranch and had a pretty satisfying experience, deserving of a solid 4-star rating. I decided to go for the Tronchos De Pescado and Tostones, and one thing that stood out was how they lightly fried the grouper. It was just right, not overly oily, and it made the dish quite enjoyable. Now, as for the tostones, they were tasty, but I must admit they were a bit light on the salt. I guess they were aiming for a healthier twist, but a touch more salt would have elevated the flavors. The real star of the show here, though, is their Plantain chips. If you're a fan of plantain chips, you're in for a treat. They're perfectly crispy, and you'll find yourself reaching for more with every bite. Now, I'll be honest, Cuban food isn't my absolute favorite, but I can appreciate the effort put into the dishes here. Molina's Ranch is indeed one of the better places to enjoy Cuban cuisine. So, if you're looking for a decent meal and a taste of some fantastic plantain chips, give this place a shot. It's a worthy stop for those who appreciate Cuban flavors. read more

Con que cara se atreven cobrar $4.25 por una lata de Materva?!? Y es más, $1 por 4 pedacitos de pan?!?! La comida que pedimos, dos sándwiches y un plato de masitas de puerco, y una orden de arroz y frijoles salió a $80 y pidieron una propina de 22%?!?! Lo siento pero esto no es Havana Harry's ni Larios ni Víctors Cafe para que estén cobrando esta barbaridad de precios! Y si eso no ese suficiente, el servicio era un horror.
