I came here with five other friends to have drinks. I had the ginger beer, it was the Fever Tree brand. Not bad. It wasn't too crowded, we were there around 5pm to 6:15pm. Descent size Irish bar. We did not order food.

A night out in Mountain View wouldn't be complete without a stop at Molly MaGees! If you like Irish/Dive bars, this is fun place to enjoy a night out with 21+ friends. They've got plenty of beers on tap, ample bar seating that wraps around, pool table and a beautiful outdoor seating area. On Wednesdays it's whiskey Wednesday so Jameson shots for only $4.50, that dangerous! Beers were around $7 and Irish car bombs were around $11. Reasonable prices and different type of specials each day. I forgot how much I love playing pool. The table is $1/game, quarters only. Our group ended up staying and playing pool with randoms, playing both 1on1 or doubles. Great way to just have fun and connect with people in friendly, competitive way. If you are looking for no frills, good drinks, nice pours, while out in Castro St, Molly MaGees is the place to check out. Parking: there's a lot on the backside of the restaurant, which you can enter the bar fromS

The service was fast and good. It's a nice Irish pub . Had a nice vibes Restrooms were clean and the seating area was well maintained. The music was good too. Although as the night went on , there were way too many Spanish songs back to back which might not be fun for folks who don't understand Spanish (aka me) Did not try the food options here .

This is a decent spot. There weren't any lines but had a good amount of people and I wanted to check it out. There's a pool table and a small dance floor that gets pretty crowded. The DJ played pretty good music. They specialize in well drinks, beers on tap and shots, and we really never had to wait too long for a bartender to order something.

Quality, no-frills Irish pub in Mountain View. Come here if you're looking for good pours from an extensive list of beers and liquor. If you aren't expecting anything fancy in terms of ambiance, you'll have a great time pulling up a stool here.

2.5 stars: I dislike this dive bar for a number of reasons. The demographic is a bit older; it's not a trendy and hip spot for 20/30 somethings. It's very dark and hard to see anything inside. Their drink Irish collins tastes pretty bad. It has too much gin and it overpowers the whole drink. They don't play music which makes the environment feel awkward. There's two TVs on top of the bar but the volume isn't up high enough to hear what's on it. However, their raspberry kamikaze tastes pretty good and there's a pool table in the back which costs $1 per game. The bartender is very nice and friendly, but I don't think I'd be back.

I kept wanting to go here because I have heard it's fun and I finally went. I didn't realize how big it is inside. I like the ambiance and the bartenders were friendly. Definitely a fun place for a group of friends or girls night.

When it comes to any business that sells and/or serves alcohol, nothing, and I mean NOTHING,…read morecompares to a British and/or Irish pub. St Stephen's Green is an Irish pub that is a Mountain View mainstay and institution. It's been here for a long time, and it's a great place to drink a pint, munch on some food and shoot the breeze with friends. We decided to haul ass down here for the USA vs. Belgium World Cup match. Presently, for World Cup reservations, they have to be made at least 12 hours in advance and are $50/person (which you can redeem for drinks and food on the day of your reservation). We got here fairly early and sat in some free seats near the front entrance. Before long, the place was a zoo, but it didn't matter. The atmosphere and camaraderie were still electric. Despite the atrocity of a loss by team USA, great fun was still had. Their menu, I should note, is extensive with a number of both Irish and non-Irish food and drinks. On my visit, I started with a simple club soda which progressed to a glass of Guinness beer and some Guinness beer cheese pretzels which I split with my friends. The pretzels and the accompanying sauce were delicious. The club soda and Guinness were as good as can be had anywhere. Prices, admittedly, are not the cheapest here though. For two club sodas, two Guinness beers, and one order of the beer cheese pretzels, the total bill (without tip) came to approx. $47-48. Service was good but could have been a little bit more organized. When I was closing my tab, my server ran off just as I began to sign my receipt, and I was unable to get a copy for myself. Not a huge deal I suppose as the pub was awash with patrons on the inside and outside. But I will say this: When I made a few phone calls a day or two before to ask a few questions about reservations and seating, each person I spoke to on the phone was really friendly and answered my questions clearly and with no hesitation or confusion. Some might think that such an experience like that isn't too remarkable, but, in a day and age of picking up the phone and talking to a computer and/or having to deal with poor customer service, this was a breath of fresh air. For those who plan to come for the remaining World Cup matches, if you do NOT have a reservation, be sure to walk around and see if there are any available tables (both inside and outside) that do NOT have a sign saying "reserved." If you're lucky to find one, you can sit there. If the table is indeed reserved, you can't sit there unless the amount of chairs at that table is greater than the amount of people for whom the table is reserved (which is noted on tables that are reserved.) There are a number of free seats up front that are first come, first served (which is where we sat), but they do NOT allow you to save seats for others. So I highly recommend that, if you plan to meet up with others, you arrive TOGETHER and EARLY. They recommended that we arrive at least one hour before the match started, which is great advice and served us well. Overall, if you're looking for a solid Irish pub in the South Bay, I highly recommend Green. SUPPORT LOCAL AND/OR SMALL BUSINESSES. 4 stars

Absolutely outrageous pricing; the worst part is, they originally served us 14 wings instead of the 21 we ordered, and still had the gall to charge us $64 for them. The drink service was also incredibly slow. We waited 15-20 minutes for our first round of two beers. The wings themselves were also subpar; other local places or even Wingstop are miles better. I remarked on wanting to try their Irish pub entrees sometime, but that won't be happening after this visit. Our waitress did comp us two drinks for the service. However, when she brought us the receipt only one was comped, and she only comped the second after we pointed it out.

If he didn't bartend here this would be a two, and the second star is only because they carry the Rye I like. He wasn't on tonight. Adam was. So, here we go... Quick background so you know who's writing this. I grew up in downtown San Jose and I've owned and operated bars and coffee shops there, including on 1st Street. All front facing, all customer service, nothing hides behind a kitchen door. I am 26 years old and it's a quick way to see how service staff treats young/non-regular service. Over +10 years in this industry, four of those as an owner. I've hired bartenders, trained bartenders, and fired bartenders. I've watched the tape at 2am trying to figure out why a our best bar-fly stopped coming in. So when I walk into a bar, I'm not just a guest. I'm watching how the room gets run. I got recommended Fibbar's on the Caltrain. I had a tight timeline and made room for it anyway, because I love supporting local and I know what it takes to keep the doors open. I came for Dunncha. I've had him behind the bar before and he elevated the whole night, every time. His name gets around downtown San Jose, and as an owner I've seriously considered hiring him myself. The guy on the train swore by him too. I figured with a pro like that on staff, I'd get put in the queue, served quick, and be back on the train. Instead Dunncha was off and I got Adam. Oh boy... He told me he'd be right with me, then filled 3 beers and mixed a drink for the woman next to me (I've pulled enough bar cam to know that's easy to check). When I checked in he called me "Mr Impatient." I let it go. I tried to make friends with him, even offered up my cowboy hat, because I had a train in 15 minutes and didn't want to make it worse. He grabbed my wallet off my hat (front bar video) and paraded around with my hat while I waited to close out. I told him about the train. He shrugged. This was after I'd already ordered three drinks. I paid, thanked him, and thought we were on good terms. Then he loudly confessed to scissoring my fingers. What a weird thing to do. Then "He made me!" Weirder thing to say. The people next to me didn't know what that meant either. They just... Starred??? Probably weirded out by their bartender telling them he was scissoring my fingers LOL I usually don't review a place until I've had the food. Didn't happen tonight. Adam's demeanor made me feel unwelcome and honestly unhungry, and I'm not the kind of guest who loses his appetite easy. Owner to owner: gaining a new customer is the most expensive thing you do. I was scouting Fibbar's for my workgroup, my GeoCache group, and the Sunnyvale Restoration Cleanup Group. Three groups, all local, all regulars once they land somewhere. Adam lost all three in 15 minutes. If he were on my payroll that's not a bartender, that's a liability. And he had the gall to tell me good luck catching the Caltrain. Caught it, by the way, no help from you, little buddy. If Dunncha's on, go. I'd trust him with my own bar. If it's Adam, don't. The magic of Fibbar's is gone. He killed the vibe. Definitely not welcome at my bars with that "friendly" attitude. P.S. Owner-to-owner, I'd pull the tape. Seen it before. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

First night was a Thursday. I ordered the fish and chips which were ok. Nothing spectacular. The scene was dead and there was maybe only 7-10 other people in the entire pub. Second night I came was on a Saturday. I only ordered drinks. There was a bigger crowd but barely, 15-20 people. Overall my opinion of this place is positive and yet I was disappointed that it wasn't better. It's in a great location. There's hotels and condominiums in the area all within walking distance. The atmosphere is great. The staff is awesome! It has so many positive aspects that should make it a regular hangout spot but for some reason it's failing. I'm giving it 5 stars because I feel it deserves better. People should give this place a shot. There is a dart board that is free to play which I think is awesome. A big patio area for large parties. The beer prices are very reasonable. Suggestion to the establishment: They have an AMI juke box, but on both nights the volume was turned down pretty low which kind of made me feel like I wasn't getting my money's worth. Turn it up!!! This place needs to figure out if it wants to be a restaurant that serves beer or be a bar that serves food. Personally I think it needs to realize that it needs to focus on being a bar. There's 15 other restaurants within walking distance from here and that food is 100 times better. This place should focus on getting the customers that leave those restaurants for after meal drinks.
