The plaza / strip mall that this boba shop is in is super small and there are only 4-5 parking spots in there thats shared with other businesses so you will need to park on the street. Once you drive near the location / Stevens ave, you will see a somewhat big size of a pink boba cup as their signature statue / stand on the corner on the street, outside of their store so its hard to miss it. Molly is a known Boba shop that specializes in jasmine tea / floral tea in China and brought the brand to US, first in New York and now to CA. The inside of this boba shop is pretty big while there are 6-7 tables where you can "dine in". There are also 4-5 tables and chairs outside next to their signature pink boba cup statue where you can sit outdoor. They have 2 kiosk machines and QR code where you can purchase your orders. I went there on a Wednesday night around 9PM and there were still many people there lining up to order their drinks or out on the street finding parkings. We ordered a jasmine green milk tea and the peach oolong jasmine green tea which both tasted good based on their recommended sugar level. Overall, i feel the cleanliness of this place can be a little better. Its 7/10 cleanliness rating I would give which its not bad but it can be better. Their staff were nice and helpful as I asked them a couple of questions in regard to their tea recommendations. Omggg would totally return when I'm in the area! Tried this for the first time on a Friday afternoon and luckily there hardly a wait to order. I ordered the Osmanthus Milk Tea (green tea iced) and it was delicious! I got 50% sweet and I could taste the green tea flavor in each sip and was also a perfect balance of creamy notes too. We happened to be in the area and decided to stop by **Molly Tea** to give it a try, but the experience was honestly very disappointing. First, the location itself is extremely inconvenient. Parking is very limited. There is a small back alley area, but it feels disorganized and unsafe, with cars parked haphazardly. The only other options are street parking in the residential neighborhood or parking across the street. We were fortunate to find one open street spot, but it should not be this difficult just to visit a tea shop. Even during off-peak hours, the store was overcrowded. There were large groups of people waiting both inside and outside. The layout makes it unclear where to order there is no clearly marked counter, and the kiosk is tucked away on the left side. With so many customers crammed inside, simply navigating the space was frustrating. The menu selection was also more limited than expected. What was most upsetting, however, was the wait time. It took approximately **1.5 hours** for our drinks to be prepared. Despite having more than ten staff members working behind the counter, the operation appeared unorganized and inefficient. With that many employees, one would expect a streamlined, fast-paced system similar to the efficiency of **In-N-Out Burger** but that was not the case. The workflow seemed chaotic and slow. There was also no clear communication regarding order status. Customers had no reliable way of knowing whether their orders were received, in progress, or misplaced. This left many of us unsure whether to continue waiting, ask for assistance, leave, or request a refund. The noise level in the store was so high that it was nearly impossible to hear order numbers being called over the speaker, although there were a few TV screens displaying order statuses. After waiting 1.5 hours, there was no apology or acknowledgment from staff. It was disappointing to experience such a long delay without even a simple courtesy. To them be prompted for a tip felt unreasonable given the circumstances. As for the drinks themselves, they did not justify the wait. The floral notes were overpowering and masked the other ingredients, resulting in an unbalanced flavor profile. Overall, the store is in need of significant improvement in order management, workflow organization, communication with customers, and crowd control during busy periods. Customers should not be left confused, waiting indefinitely, or responsible for navigating operational disorganization. The level of hype surrounding this place does not reflect the quality of the experience we had. We rather visit the other tea places that has less staff and less crowds which it only take 5-10mis to receive our drinks. We will not be returning. I really wanted to love Molly Tea... The concept of floral-focused drinks had me so excited. As someone who's obsessed with all things floral (rose, lavender, jasmine, osmanthus, orange blossom, tiare/gardenia, YOU NAME IT, I LOVE IT!) I had high hopes going in. I ordered the Gardenia Oat Milk Tea and the Premium Jasmine Oat Milk Tea, both with less sweetness. Unfortunately, both drinks fell flat. The addition of the orange slice felt out of place... like it was trying to steer the drink in a citrusy direction that didn't quite belong. It gave off this Fruity Pebbles-like aroma, which sounded intriguing in theory, but didn't translate well in flavor or balance. Even my friend's White Champaca Oat Milk Tea tasted nearly identical to mine and not in a good way :( I typically have a pretty good palate when it comes to picking out floral notes in perfumes, teas, and foods, but everything here just sort of blended into a creamy (because of the oat milk), orange-y drink with no real standout character. If you want an amazing jasmine milk tea then go to Odd One Out or Cha Redefine. Overall, I found the experience to be pretty underwhelming and unfortunately, not something I'd go back for. I still don't know the hype for this place but I see a lot of post about this place. It may be overrated. Parking is a fluke and tough to fine. I would recommend parking on the streets but it fills up quickly and may have to park at the local hardware store but at a risk. It's a private lot. Ordering is thru a kiosk but I was alerted we can order this via phone which I would of recommend because by the time I ordered it was 30 more orders ahead of me which took an additional 1/2 hour wait. Order didn't show up on my text message so luckily I kept the number in memory for my order. I ordered two drinks : Jasmine milk tea and the peach flavored tea. I think it was okay. Been so ridiculously addicted to this place. Thought I was in love with Toro just several weeks ago but when I tried this place my soul got sucked right in. Tried them maybe 5-6 times so far. If you come during popular hours (weekends, nighttime) it can get real crazy. No seating and long lines. Even parking is hectic. But drinks are made reasonably speedy. Their cups are classy and dainty looking. Theres always an inner plastic seal to protect from spillage which is perfect. Their straws are also super unique~think coffee straw lol. As for drinks, I don't think you can go wrong with any of their milk tea drinks. Love the white champaca, gardenia milk, premium jasmine teas. Everything is always light and florally. Just my style. What We Ordered: -Premium Jasmine Milk Tea Their Premium Milk Tea is one of the better Milk Teas we've had in the San Gabriel Valley thus far. I recently learned that Molly Tea is the first store of its kind in California. It's only the fourth location of this brand of tea shop in the entire country, too! My wife and I lived in Beijing for a number of years, but we never heard of this tea. But it turns out, Molly Tea comes from Southern China, so it's no wonder we never heard of it! I recently saw that Molly Tea is trending online and on Yelp. I knew we had to see what the hype is all about. We went there midday during the week and there were a lot of people there. We decided on the Premium Milk Tea and it was absolutely lovely. My wife is a bit of a Milk Tea connoisseur and she thought Molly Tea was excellent! We will be back to Molly Tea very soon! read more
