First time I ever tried Molly Tea was when I visited NY. I really liked it over there. Once this location opened here in CA, I became a regular like fallen prey. I keep coming back for the high-quality tea drinks with fragrant, well-balanced flavors. The entire menu has a floral tea focus. My favorites are the White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea and Premium Jasmine Matcha. Although I really enjoy the drinks, the reason I can only give this place 2 stars is because everything else is lacking. Service is unfriendly, wait times are usually long, parking sucks, and there is not enough seating to accommodate the amount of people that come here everyday. In addition, it seems that the staff are always uninformed about the brand's promotions. On their social media, they will often advertise special events, such as a free magnet or scented satchet, but it feels very deceiving because the staff never want to give me the free item even though I make the necessary purchases. With so many other good boba shops nearby, it's hard for me to want to continue supporting this chain when they don't treat customers well. It's true that they offer small incentives in exchange for 5 star reviews, as I have been offered multiple times myself. I've always loved Molly Tea--it's one of my favorite milk tea brands in China and in the U.S. The moment you walk in, the fresh floral aroma mixed with tea is so comforting, and when there isn't a crazy line, the experience is usually great. Unfortunately, my last visit during a long weekend was rough. The line and wait time were unbelievable. Ordering at the kiosk was quick and easy, but waiting over an hour for the drinks was honestly ridiculous. Even though there's a screen showing order numbers as "preparing" or "ready," it didn't seem to be updated at all. After more than an hour, we finally asked about our order--turns out one drink was already ready, but they had forgotten the rest. Super frustrating. It was definitely a bad experience, though I'm pretty sure it was due to being understaffed during a busy long weekend. The saving grace is that the drinks still tasted just as good as usual. Came here on a Sunday around 1130am, about 30 minutes after they opened and OH my full house. You can order from kiosk, there is two or with a staff, either way, once you order, you wait. Plenty of staff but the wait feels like a DMV wait, you look for your number on the screen or you would get a text once your order is ready. I would say I waited roughly 20-25 minutes to get my drink Worth it? Yes I really enjoyed my pistachio jasmine green tea drink. Not too sweet and the jasmine tea flavor is very strong and I like to taste my tea in a tea drink! Peach oolong snowy The presentation of this drink is just pretty and really good. you can go 100 on sweet and it wont be overly sweet at all. Peach flavor is there, tea is there and the whip cream makes it like a milk tea. I really enjoy the drinks here and I would love to come back and try their new seasonal item, apple milk tea. Visited Molly Tea on a Friday night and heard about their fame in China for their Jasmine tea and pink aesthetic. They have beautiful branding, almost like a luxury boba lounge - think soft wood accents, bright light fixtures that are gentle and glowy, and marble counters. I got their Jasmine Mango Smoothie (Green Tea+Fresh Mango+Coconut Milk+Pomelo+Sago) for $7.99 each. The mango flavor was prominent, and I loved sipping on the sago, which had a great chew to it. It was the perfect not-too-sweet dessert for me to end the night on a happy note. The other reviews are so right, Molly Tea is living up to their reputation as a Chinese brand, delivering on the "sweet, but not too sweet" compliment, which is pretty much the ultimate Chinese compliment. I'd love to try their Jasmine floral teas next. The wait time was around 40 minutes for 2 drinks, with about 15+ orders ahead of us. There were plenty of tea makers making orders though, so I think they are just trying to get a better system down. Picking up my drinks was a bit hectic as many people were waiting on the sidelines, and the counter had 20+ drinks and more piling up. They have a digital tv system where you can track where your order is and their automated text messaging system also will text when your order is ready. Molly Tea is easily one of my favorite tea shops. The interior is huge and I love the pink aesthetic. The staff is always friendly and I've tried almost everything on the menu at this point. My favorite drinks are the jasmine milk tea, peach oolong, and pistachio jasmine coconut. The jasmine milk tea has a really nice floral aroma and I love that you can still taste the tea instead of just milk. I'm usually not a fan of peach drinks because they tend to have an artificial aftertaste but their peach oolong tastes super clean with a natural peach flavor. The pistachio jasmine coconut is also amazing. It's refreshing, well balanced, and none of the flavors overpower each other. I'm also a big fan of their pink packaging, and if you order more than two drinks, they give you an insulated bag. There's always a wait but their online ordering system makes pickup super easy. Went to Molly Tea on a recommendation, also after UG Tea got shutdown after being open for like 7 days?! Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait too long for our drinks. I just came back from a China trip and loved the tea-focused shops there (Chagee, HEYTEA) and decided to try all of the Chinese/Taiwanese places I could here in LA. Molly fits that bill and I love their ultra fragrant teas with the spill-proof packaging (double capped with a seal and a sipper lid). It's a lot but after traveling with a to-go bag and not having a single drop spill, the packaging is necessary for takeout. Unfortunately you don't get many customization options at all. I can't really order a plain non-milk tea, most are milk teas except Jasmine, and can't add boba to everything. They also only had agar boba for a while. I've tried the Jasmine, Peach Tieguanyin, Dancong Oolong, Jasmine Apple, Osmanthus, and Pistachio Champaca Coco and liked them all. I've never had champaca before and was a little surprised at the flavor, almost too floral and into soapy territory but it grew on me. Molly tea is an extremely popular milk tea store. As popular and authentic as it is since it is from Shenzhen, China, I could not justify the wait for the drinks at all. This is my second time coming here and the wait was ~100 minutes long. I got the Premium Jasmine Milk Tea which was pleasant to drink and had a lot of great Jasmine fragrance and flavor. Although the drink itself was nice, the long wait and environment ruined the drink itself. I would prefer to go to another milk tea place that is just as good with no hour+ long waits with a fully stuffed store. I do not recommend this place if you do not want to waste your time. 3.4 stars I got Jasmine Milk Tea and, while it is delicious, I don't think it's worth the price. Here, you pay for quality and packaging. Street parking was ok on New Year's day, but the shop was still very crowded and loud. There are only 2 kiosks and it wasn't very intuitive. By intuitive, I mean, the drinks aren't categorized well - the number 1 drink that kept popping up on every tab was Jasmine tea and there was no separate tab for their matchas or anything else. Their website said there was Gardenia tea and I was hoping to get that, but it wasn't on the kiosk (or maybe I missed it). Additionally, adding the 2026 free pin w/ 2 drink purchase was scary b/c it was listed as $9,999.00. That amount got deducted at check-out, but that was definitely a confusing moment for me. However, the lines are crazyyy long. I liked it, it had a strong enough Jasmine presence and wasn't overly sweetened. With the whipped cream and pecans it's fun, without the drink is more of a typical jasmine milk tea. The interesting thing is that on the cup they specifically ask you to drink it within the hour you receive it as they say the ingredients start to break down and the drink is not as flavorful as intended. One of these times I will try one of their matchas or other drinks. As I stated before, this location is packed and it is hard to park. I would come back if it were easier to park and get in and out, but that seems like quite the challenge. As someone who orders Jasmine Milk Tea everywhere I go, this is my favorite one by a landslide. The tea tastes floral and flavorful, and the caffeine is quite strong too. I showed up to the store 50 minutes after I ordered to inquire and was told they were making drinks for orders placed one hour ago. They weren't ready with my order yet. Overall it was about 70 minutes after my order was placed that it was ready. It was a little bit confusing because my number was showing on the ready screen, but it wasn't actually ready for another 10 minutes. This seemed to be a common problem, as I heard it happening to other folks who tried to pick up their drinks. The store had a decent amount of seating, but it was completely packed on Christmas day. Also parking was kind of a pain. We got lucky with a spot in the small lot right in front of the restaurant, but there were only maybe five or six spots along with two handicapped ones, so your best bet is to find parking elsewhere and walk over. I got the premium jasmine milk tea for $6.99, as that seems to be their most popular drink. It was really good; I can see why it's so popular. The flavor of the jasmine tea really came through in the drink. I would totally get it again, but I thought it was a bit on the pricey side for the amount you get. I got it with 70% sweetness, which is the recommended amount, but I might try for 100% next time. I felt like 70% was okay, but after the ice started melting, the drink became a bit too diluted. They had very tiny straws that prevented me from inhaling my drinks like I usually do. In a way, I guess it forced me to appreciate and "taste" my drink more than I usually attempt to. I ordered through DoorDash for delivery because the store appeared very busy and the app estimated a 17-30 minute wait. However, when we went inside, the store was in complete disarray. There was no clear system for customers ordering in person versus DoorDash pickup. Customers waiting had no way of knowing whether their orders had been received, were being prepared, or were lost--leaving us unsure whether we should wait, ask for help, leave, or request a refund. Only one employee was assisting multiple customers at once who were all asking about their DoorDash orders. She appeared overwhelmed and told us to come back in an hour, without checking the system to confirm whether our orders were actually received. When I asked how she knew the orders were in the system, she stated they were but did not verify. She also told us that if we wanted to cancel, we would have to contact DoorDash ourselves. Due to the lack of communication and organization, we left to get drinks elsewhere while hoping our order might eventually be ready. We returned over an hour later--an order placed at 3:00 PM was still not ready at 4:00 PM. At that point, the employee said it might take another hour but could not give a clear answer. The store needs significant improvement in order management, communication with delivery platforms, and staffing during busy periods. I heard so much buzz about Molly Tea and finally had a chance to try it! I now see what the hype is about. Their tea is so fragrant and delicate, and it's brewed perfectly! I tried their pistachio jasmine coconut, which was refreshing and had a nice flavor. Their jasmine matcha was also good! I never had matcha with jasmine green tea before, but I think it's something I'll get going forward. Their drinks are also not too sweet, which I appreciate. They were busy when I was there, which seems like the norm here. However, they were pushing out the drinks pretty fast considering the volume. I waited about 10-15 min for my drinks. Tried Molly Tea for the first time on a Sunday night at around 8pm. It was PACKED but we waited about 5 min in line to order and then about 15 min for the drink! Ordered the Jasmine Matcha at the suggested sweetness level of 70% sweet. It was the perfect amount of sweetness but the floral notes in the jasmine tea felt muted to me for a place known for premium jasmine tea! I wish it had more jasmine flavor, but I would definitely come back to try their other drinks. Parking is the biggest downside of this location! Small lot in front of the cafe and some street parking, but as you can imagine, it can get quite busy. I understand the hype now. One of my new favorite places for tea now. There's just too many to have one favorite, but Molly tea is right up there. Delicate is probably the best way to describe their drinks. Parking is the worst part of Molly tea's location. I think there's only 4 or 5 spots in front. One large car or one bad parking job (common) and good luck parking. Just park on the street somewhere and it'll be much easier for you. Outside there's some photo-ops and tables to sit as well as inside. Bright and clean setting. It can get really busy here. There's two kiosks for you to order, but lines can get fairly long depending on how long it takes for people to put in their order. I'd recommend you look at the menu on the wall while you're waiting to get an idea of what you want. I believe if you get a seat/table, there's also a QR code you can order from or you can order ahead From there you'll wait a bit for them to prepare and pack your order. So Molly Tea (word play on Jasmine) is known for their Jasmine teas. And wow they're delicious. With jasmine tea, it's light, refreshing and pairs well with floral notes which Molly does really well. If you're looking for more of the bitter, darker teas, this isn't the right place for it. Their high mountain tea is also very good. You really can't go wrong with any of their drinks though I would recommend the white Champaca milk tea. Very floral, light, refreshing without losing the essence of the tea The jasmine milk tea or just plain jasmine tea are why I'd consider their drinks delicate. Well prepared, excellent flavors. The floral and tea scents really come through. One thing I thought was slightly off and unnecessary was a staff going around offering a Molly tea branded paper bag for positive reviews. We didn't do it since I think they deserve it, but I'm not a fan of places "buying" reviews. Give this place a try and I'm sure you'll understand the hype around it. Highly highly recommend ordering on the app so you can check wait times before coming here. I've seen it vary from 15 minutes to an hour on weekdays so def try to get ahead of that if you can. There's a decent amount of seating inside to wait but it gets packed pretty often. The parking lot out front is tiny so I prefer to either park on the nearby street or order ahead so whoever I'm with can run inside to quickly grab the drinks Jasmine milk tea: 5/5 very refreshing. I like that this has a good balance and jasmine and honey flavor Snowy jasmine: 5/5 I like that the foam is also jasmine flavored and there's pecans or something on top. Def a good choice if you want something sweeter. Also if you want to save the drink for later, you can ask for the foam on the side which is super convenient Peach oolong milk tea: 4/5 probably not my fav at the moment but I still like it and I used to order this a lot more when I was in an oolong phase Jasmine mango coconut: 3/5 not bad overall but tasted more like mango than anything read more
