My experience at this restaurant was horrible. The service was slow, the food was bland and over cooked, and we even found 2 strings of plastic in separate dishes. When we confronted our waitress about our complaints, she was extremely rude to us and kept questioning how we could be complaining even though we had eaten a good portion of our food. We were starving and had no choice but to eat, and the waitress continued to be rude. I ordered the truffle mushroom omelette which was extremely bland and something I could have made at home. My mom had the steak and eggs, and the streak was so dry, overdone, and flavorless. They didn't even ask us how we would like the steak cooked! Pros: The beautiful view overlooking the NY skyline Cons: Everything else I visited this place with my entire family on New Year's Eve, party of 8. We had the absolute, worst experience of out lives. Our reservations were at 8, our appetizers came in at 10 and our entree half before midnight and half after midnight, deserts at 1 and change. There were no issues with our appetizers, aside from the 2 hour wait. The service in between was the worst we ever experienced. The waiters were inexperienced, rude, inconsiderate, waiting for water wine drinks bread salt sauces etc. 2 hours in we gave up on asking, as we gave up on this place. As our entrees came, we received 4 first , one had a literally, cold fillet on it. The other had raw lobster, slimy and disgusting. The other 2 were fine just cold, they were the levraki fish. The other entrees then came and same thing with the meat, all cold, cooked at the wrong temperature, and poorly cut and butchered. Keep in mind that this entree was 65 dollars for the fillet and lobster. We celebrate the ball dropping with 2 people on my party without an entree. The fillet that went back, came back just as cold and with raw lobster! It was a joke, to be treated like that on such a special day. My whole family was completely over it and wanted to just walk out. The deserts came, it was chefs choice, they brought 1 plate, with 4 deserts on it FOR EIGHT ADULTS. We paid 100 per person and we had to share one desert each? CAN YOU FATHOM? We had to ask for for desert, which is embarrassing. The party next to us got 3 plates of desserts, with the same amount of people. I don't understand? Upon leaving, not one of our family member satisfied, AT ALL; I requested to speak with the manager and he came. I told him about our experience and he apologized dearly and was upset he wasn't told sooner, which I appreciated. But then he looked into it, his waiter told him that he had refunded the 1 entree and there's really nothing else he could do. Okay what? He refunded that because it WAS NEVER TOUCHED AND IT WAS SENT BACK TWICE. The second time we had told them to forget it. Refunding a 50 dollar entree was not a favor it is expected of you to take your terrible food back. And he offered a 100 dollar gift card to go back. So basically, I spent 1,200 dollars, on what was supposed to be a beautiful night on New Year's Eve, Molos ruined the night with ore them terrible service, food, presentation, environment and all you can tell me is that you were already refunded your entree and here's a gift card to come back? Unacceptable. I hope everyone reads about my experience and chooses to not support this terrible place. People work hard for their money and for you to take $1,200 of mine and leave me completely dissatisfied, shame on you. Never ever, will I ever. read more

We contemplated the seafood tower for two , for $50, but after the waitress had no idea what was included in/on it and came back to give us the report - we decided to pass. It included 2 shrimp , a few clams and 1/2 of a lobster. Seemed odd so we got a few apps. Shrimp cocktail was mushy , crab legs were cut in 1/2 and put on a tiny plate. Nothing was how I imagined it. Molos consistently pleases--beautiful scenery and right close to our home. The lamb dish is a favorite and my husband orders the chicken. I read complaints about service, but my husband and I frequent Molos as it is our local go-to, and we have never had problems with service. When having dessert, try the baklava or the galaktoboureko as the traditional Greek desserts satisfy cravings of a sweet tooth. Got the calamari. Was very good. Also got the shrimp risotto - presentation wasn't all that great but the flavor was good. Bf got the special - swordfish - also pretty good but a little on the dry side. I would have given a 4 star but had to drop it down to 1 because I got food poisoning from the risotto. I'm guessing the shrimp was bad or something got contaminated. I tried the bf's dish but he didn't try mine. And I only got sick so it was definitely the risotto that got me. I traveled all the way from Brooklyn to eat at this restaurant cause I heard about the views of Manhattan and the food. I very disappointed in the food. The service was excellent our waiter was polite and attentive which I loved. The restaurant was beautiful and views of the city was gorgeous at night. I was so disappointed in the food I ask for a well done steak tenderloin, and came out medium well the chef obviously doesn't know how to cook the outside was well done not the inside the chef should have butterfly cut the steak first before you cook and then it would've been cook properly and the lobster risotto I was not impressed at all I had way better. I big foodie I love going to different restaurants and trying food to recommend to my friends. But I would not recommend this restaurant food at all. This used to be my favorite restaurant. I have come here many times so I brought my family here for the first time and it was the worst experience I've ever had. The server Niko was great, but the general manager George was doing nothing but standing around with another server not managing the staff. We did not get bread (which is my favorite) even after requesting, no water service, no silverware.. it was really terrible. When we presented these issues to George he did nothing to resolve them (besides honor us a bottle of wine) and seemed to be content leaving it there. Molos on the Hudson River offers a wonderful view of Manhattan. The food was good. My seafood orzo was tasty and plentiful. My wife's dover sole was fresh and prepared well with oil and lemon. However, the evening was ruined by the poor service or perhaps, the lack of service. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we had a bad experience because of the service. The main course was delayed over 30 minutes and our displeasure was met with a comment by the manager that we were sitting at an the end of the room! This place has THE worst service I have ever experienced. We had made a reservation for 10 people and specifically requested window seating for the fireworks display over the Hudson. The entire party arrived there early and we were informed that we do not have window seats on the bottom floor. They allowed us to sit upstairs after much disputation and I could already tell the manager was annoyed with us. It took over 10 minutes to bring us menus, even longer for water and to take our order. When our entrees finally came out, all the steaks were completely overcooked so we had to send them back and wait even longer. At the end of our meal, we were trying to pay with 3 credit cards because that's the norm when it comes to splitting a large bill. We waited over 15 minutes only for them to come back to us and tell us that the machine wouldn't let them split the bill. For a bill of almost $900 that is freaking ridiculous. Worst part is, the manager didn't give a shit. And then he even had the nerve to ask us if they are international credit cards, like it was our fault. NO, WE ARE US CITIZENS. WE LIVE HERE. Offend us even more why don't you. The only redeeming thing about this place is it's location. So one star for that. And another star for decent food and not feeling rushed *eye roll* read more
