The waterfront views are fantastic, but unfortunately the food didn't meet my expectations both times I visited. I'd come back for the scenery before I'd come back for dinner.

The food was delish! Especially the octopus app and the lobster fettuccine! Drinks were good too but the draft beer was warm and was served to us that way by the bartender and server. Not sure why they both didn't realize they were not cold at all. Service was a little slow but not terrible. The views were great! We would go back!

Had a lovely time. We only came for apps and some drinks. We had the ice Tower. I wasn't a fan of the crab or muscles. But the oysters shrimp and lobster were great. The staff is very nice. The ambiance is great and well kept.

Great views abs ambiance. Service is hit or miss. Some of the staff is great and some tend to disappear mid service, leaving you trying to flag down other wait staff or bussers to get something or even just the check. Sunset into dusk/night is best time. You get the full effect of the views. In terms of food. It wasn't bad at all, just nothing that was punch in the face kind of wow. The seafood seems fairly fresh and they make dishes to showcase the seafood. They have a few non-seafood items as well. Drinks look great. I wish the wine list by the glass was more extensive. Had enough options to pair well with food but more on the basic side. Likely would be back for other food items but may just enjoy food and drinks at the bar.

Our group of 4 enjoyed a Friday night at Molo's. Ample parking can be found across the street in a lot at no charge. We were about 15 minutes early for our reservation, but they immediately welcomed us without hesitation and escorted us to our table with a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline. (TIP: Request a seat at the windows) The 2nd floor was closed, however my wife said the view was better upstairs. AMBIENCE: You can't go wrong with floor-to-ceiling windows and the NYC skyline as your backdrop. Tables were spaced well and even with a full dining room, we had great conversation without having to "Scream" at each other. Lighting was perfect as it wasn't too bright or too dim. SERVICE: Very fast, efficient and pleasant. Water glass was never empty. We sat for about 3 hours and never felt rushed or like they wanted us out. FOOD: Authentic Mediterranean experience. The Fried Feta (Photo) tasted like it was straight from Santorini. The Lobster Fettuccine (Photo) was very filling with huge pieces of lobster including both claws. Crabcake was very fresh. VALUE: Some other reviews say that it was overpriced and I can understand the feeling. However for fine dining on a waterfront, the pricing was as expected. Especially for seafood. We would absolutely return to Molo's!

We have not been to Molo's in five years and wanted to sit by the water today. To start entering the restaurant the smell of bad fish in garbage was so strong. We should have left but there were many people on the deck we decided to stay. The service was very nice but the fish was not fresh. I had filet mignon which was good but we were very disappointed. Unfortunately we won't go back. Plus the drinks were hot and small. View is beautiful it's a shame.

I had a fantastic dinner at Molos last night! Definitely sit outside when dining because the patio and view of the NYC skyline is spectacular. There's lots of lights to make the views even more special. The inside is just as beautiful. However, the patio is perfect! I would recommend booking an earlier dinner if you want to eat outside because it does become quite busy. There are so many great appetizer options on the menu. My friend and I tried the fried feta topped with pistachio and drizzled with honey. We also shared pita with eggplant dip. Both options were a big hit. You can't go wrong with fried feta! For dinner, we shared the Dover sole and Spanokorisotto. The Dover sole was marinated in lemon and butter. The potion sizes were decent, so you get your money's worth. The Spanokorisotto was a nice play on Spanokopita and risotto combined. We loved that! We finished our meal with dessert and really enjoyed the Galacktoboureko, which is a vanilla custard pie. The espresso martinis were delightful. If you're in the mood for Greek, check Molos out!

I've been to Molo's a few times over the years. The food is pretty good (although a little overpriced) and you can't beat the beautiful NYC views. They have a great outdoor patio with plenty of seating and a large indoor dining room. My husband and I dined here for dinner a few weeks ago and the service was insanely slow (which was odd because the dinner rush had mostly cleared out). The tuna tartare appetizer and oysters were delicious, and our entrees were fine (I got the Dover sole and he ordered the lamb chops, nothing too memorable). It's a good spot for outdoor dining but not top of our list to return to anytime soon.

Came by on a weekday for dinner without a reservation and was seated right away outside. Waiter was nice though the food and drinks both took quite the minute to come out. Food was good though I will say it's a bit on the pricey side. The lobster pasta was good though did hope for more than four pieces for the price. I will say those molos chips were great. Sea bass was good though there are bones so make sure to chew slow (rookie mistake on my end). The ambiance is the highlight with great views of the city. The outdoor area can be pretty windy though so something to keep in mind.

for the View, 1/2 for the Food -- but Who's Counting When Manhattan is Glowing in Front of You? If you want dinner *with* Manhattan instead of *in* Manhattan, Molos is your spot. It's basically a giant glass box perched right on the Hudson, staring straight at the skyline like it's trying to flirt with it. I swear Icould practically see Times Square blinking back at me. We got there at 6 PM -- perfect timing to watch the sun set behind the city and make you briefly forget about New Jersey traffic and your $10 valet fee (because, of course, there's no parking -- beauty has its price). This was a special "welcome home" dinner for my son, back to Jersey after college and a few years of wandering the states. The mood? Proud dad. The view? Movie set. The crowd? Birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, and at least one guy nervously clutching a ring box (good luck, buddy). Now, the food. Let's just say it's like the skyline: looks great from afar, fine up close, but you're mostly here for the view. The menu calls itself Greek seafood, and sure, there's octopus, branzino, and calamari doing their best impression of Santorini. It's... fine. Not bad, not life-changing -- just "average in a nice way." Cocktails were good -- strong enough to make me forgive a few culinary sins and toast to the incredible setting. Service was polite, professional, and didn't rush us, which I appreciated. Would I go back? Absolutely. Not for the food, but to feel like I own a multimillion-dollar penthouse for the price of dinner and valet. Pro tip: go before sunset, order a drink, and pretend you're in a lifestyle commercial.

I love this place it's amazing food and service I recommend the view of the river looks amazing

We have a reservation for NYE 2023 @ 8:15PM, are children allowed? We are planning on just having a nice dinner and are not planning on staying for a celebration or anything like that.

Is the tzatziki portion that comes with veggie chips reasonable?

Yes enough for two to three people

When is the best time to call? It seems every time I call to modify a reservation no one is picking up, and a late cancel/no show fee will be charged $25/person. Seems oblivious when I can't cancel since no one is picking up and I can't do it online

Hello, Molos Restaurant gets busier in the evening time. Definitely someone will get back to you but the wait times get longer after 6-7 pm. My recommendation for you to get the fastest phone answer is the morning time when the restaurant opens,…

Yes Molos is a restaurant that is kids friendly. We love kids and we always welcome them…

I tried make a reservation for me and my husband a week ahead for window seat but unfortunately the answer was no. I could wait two weeks or a month but the receptionist said no. Then who will reserve the seats for the customers by what? Just random?

Molos is a restaurant with great water views from all tables. Window tables are not reserved on line or over the phone, but are giving when quests come in. We will always try our best to accommodate our quests.…

    What's the dress code?

Sunday brunch is more casual. But I would dress up for a date. Nice jeans or slacks.

Are there many vegetarian/vegan options available? I see 1 or 2 salads possibly. Not sure if anyone has experience with this at Molos.

Molos restaurant menu is largely based, on seafood but it does offer a couple of vegetarian options.

Their tzatziki is top notch, as well as the tavern chips (fried eggplant and zucchini). Personally, their falafel is not my favorite but I do know people who enjoy it. I haven't tried everything on the menu but I do know some things are better than others. Also, the service is usually pretty solid, too! Sometimes the younger workers can be a little confused when it comes to certain requests, but overall they are pretty accomodating. The wrap was balanced, not greasy, and the falafel had that perfect crisp-to-fluff ratio. But what really stood out? The person behind the counter. The restaurant has an interesting history. Even though the original opened in Cresskill, NJ, it unfortunately has permanently closed. However, not only is the Edgewater location amazing, but it had the guts to open during COVID (2022), survived, and is succeeding. The restaurant is beautiful inside and outside. Their decorations are tasteful, the presentation of the food is award winning, and the service is stellar. I started with a Mocha Cappuccino and it was so good. Served in a large mug, an airy/creamy top, and had the perfect amount of mocha happiness throughout. Before the meal even started, we were graciously given Za'atar (a popular Middle Eastern spice blend with an earthy, tangy, and nutty flavor, toasted sesame seeds, and sumac, with salt). It was crunchy, drizzled with oil, and I enjoyed how each thin pita bite made the spices explode all over the table. The entrees were: Strawberry French Toast. The next was the Falafel Platter (chickpeas and fava bean balls, served with tahini sauce, pickles, turnips, tomato, and mint). The last selection was the Avocado Toast (Citrus cured salmon over multigrain bread, tomatoes, onions, capers & citrus vinaigrette). Not only were all of these dishes beautifully presented, but all were filling, as well. My Avocado Toast kept me full for the rest of the day and the salmon was enjoyably salty, thin, and delicious. I noticed a dessert in their display case and ordered it. The dessert was the Riz Bil Ashta (Lebanese rice cream, infused with orange blossom water, blended with milk and cheese, and topped with crushed pistachios). This dessert tasted like a regal custard and the pistachios added an enjoyable texture that makes it recommended. Of course, I had to cap the meal with a Mocchiato. This amazing beverage followed the rest of the meal..... delicious, eyes closed good, and every sip was full-flavored. Thank you, Madison Café and Grill, for presenting a memorable meal and I wish you continued success.

At work, the Godfather wanted to order (unusual for him to suggest it; usually I'm the 1 pushing for us to order out, and he's invariably resistant, although ultimately, he's acquiescent, although just as invariably he blames me for "pushing him into it" as he gobbles down whatever food it was we've ordered). I was willing but wanted to try something different than our usual fare (burgers, Chinese, Japanese, sandwiches). Someone else mentioned Exotic Eats, as a younger co-worker had ordered from there recently and seemed to enjoy what he had eaten. I asked, "Does this younger co-worker have a discriminating palate?" (Not actually being quite the jerk I oftentimes seem to be, I did of course use less pretentious, overblown verbiage in asking my question.) The reply was, "He's young; he'll order almost anything and like it." So...it might be great; it might be horrible. So we took a chance. They deliver, and I was intrigued by their on-line menu. I can't remember what the Godfather ordered, or another co-worker who wanted us to include him in what had once been known as the Lunchbox Mafia, but I ordered "the Island Bowl." Sliced jerk chicken breast on a bed of Mac & Cheese with jerk BBQ sauce. Being hungry, I ordered a side of blueberry cornbread, and the dessert of banana pudding cheesecake. All of it washed down with my ever-present bottle of Poland Spring water. We didn't have to wait long for it to be delivered. As I mentioned in my introductory remarks, I found the food fabulous. The jerk chicken in its BBQ sauce had a tangy sting, but it wasn't unpleasant or pain-producing. And I have to say-- the Mac & Cheese was the best I've had since my late mother used to make it for me in childhood. It's a baked "dry" Mac & Cheese as opposed to the overly sauced (and bland) version you get in most restaurants these days (all it was missing was the crumbled crackers that my mother used to put on top of it). Pure deliciousness, as they say. The blueberry cornbread was the perfect accompaniment, and the banana pudding cheesecake was wonderfully smooth, creamy, and decadent. I wasn't feeling bloated to the point of discomfort once I had finished it all, but I definitely felt "well fed." My fellow partakers were equally as enthused. Prices were fair, portions were immeasurably more than adequate, and the meal was luxuriously satisfying on every single level. As mentioned, delivery didn't take long at all, and it arrived hot. I'm not entirely sure how to classify the cuisine. The website described it as "Soul Food" with a "Caribbean Spirit." A long-time friend of mine is Jamaican, and she used to throw a big feast for friends and family every summer (I was usually the only white person invited, which was never any sort of a problem, although once a little kid of 4 or 5 looked at me with hostility and said, "What are YOU doing here?"), before health issues sidelined that annual event. She was a great cook, and everything was fresh-- jerk chicken, fish, ackee that always reminded me of scrambled eggs, breadfruit, sorrel liquor, etc. Despite the quality of the food served, I never really acquired a taste for Jamaican cuisine (I ventured out once to a Jamaican restaurant in Perth Amboy with friends; they were enthusiastic about it but it wasn't of the same quality as my friend served, and obviously didn't transform me into a "fan"), but I don't know that Exotic Eats is Jamaican per se. But I know that what I had was delicious and filling, and I can't wait to order from Exotic Eats again. Obviously, very highly recommended.
