I was already feeling extremely overwhelmed due to personal circumstances, and he remained calm, patient, reassuring, and professional throughout the entire interaction. Unfortunately, the employee next to him, a woman with colored braids and eyeglasses, was dismissive and rude toward me. Despite the young man already informing me he could assist me, she repeatedly tried to discourage me from mailing my paperwork there and told me I should go to another USPS location instead. Her approach added unnecessary stress during an already difficult moment. What stood out to me most, however, was how quickly the young man stepped in after overhearing the interaction. He immediately reassured me and took the initiative to help without hesitation. As someone who works in customer service myself, I know how much one employee can impact a customer's entire experience. One person can make someone feel unwelcome, while another can completely restore their faith in humanity. The following day, when I was told the letter hadn't arrived, I checked and realized they still hadn't shipped the letter. Instead of shipping it on Thursday night, they waited 24h to ship it on Friday night and it ended up arriving on Monday morning instead on Friday morning. This means I had paid $93 for 4-day shipping, which would have cost me less than $10 with USPS. I went back 3 times to the store to get refunded for this failed overnight service. I talked to the owner who told me I would be refunded, gave all my info. 2 weeks later, he still hadn't done anything, despite coming to the store about this 3 times. I found another way, but this should give you a pretty clear idea about how much they care about their customers and if you should trust them with important mailings.
