Due to my situation, he had me booked and scheduled for two of his movers and their truck to help me move in less than 30 minutes. Paperwork signed and everything! There is a minimum of 4 hours to pay for. It sounded reasonable since my boyfriend and I were moving about 20 miles more west. The movers arrived on time and were both so friendly. A big shoutout to Sal and Henry for helping my boyfriend and I move so quickly, efficiently and for keeping our furniture safe. We were SO fortunate and SO grateful to have found Frank last minute. I called Box-N-Go and they were able to arrange 4 pods arriving on Wednesday, have a 3-man crew pack the 4 pods and a 26' Uhaul over 2 days, and got them out of the house in time. AMAZING! I would like to share my experience with the Box-n-Go moving company which is run by Stan Trakhtenberg and Stan Krakovsky. After a sudden loss of my husband in October 2018 and being burglarized a month after that in the sum of $175K, I have decided to sell my condo and move to Las Vegas. On the advice of my RE agent, I called Stan Krakovsky to get an estimate. He came to my house with a notepad, wrote everything down and said that he could not tell exactly, but the amount would not exceed $4,500. His people were supposed to pack my things at the rate of $89/hr and packing materials were supposed to be included (except for boxes which I have provided). Included in the quote was my fridge, a giant wardrobe cabinet, a bar set up made of very heavy metal (bar, 3 bar stools and a 4 tier shelf) and my car. I had sold the bar, the fridge and the wardrobe and I drove my car, but none of that was ever credited. At the end of each day the workers were writing an invoice which I had to pay every single day and instead of $89/hr, they were charging me $135/hr saying that they sent three people (never asking me if that's what I wanted). On the last day, when everything was in the truck, after having paid way over $5K, I was told by Stan Krakovsky that unless I pay them AT LEAST $2700 more, he will not release my things...that's EXTORTION. The move cost me in cash about $8K and here is the outcome: * Instead of sending their crew to Las Vegas to unload, as originally agreed, they hired complete, total strangers off Yelp (one of which was making passes at me, which made me feel very nervous) in Las Vegas who are not movers, but landscapers (and even that is highly questionable). * They dumped everything all over the place and a few things are still there because they are too heavy for me to move. My gorgeous, expensive furniture is destroyed beyond fixing, my very expensive, limited addition artwork is broken and now worthless. Many of my things have been lost, stolen or missing. * Things were thrown in boxes (including live plants) without any respect or regard for my property. * I was told by Stan Trakhtenberg that he will work with me on filing a claim, but now that the claim has been submitted, they refuse to answer any of my emails. These people are crooks and I warn you not to deal with them. If anyone can help me find the solution to how to deal with these people, PLEASE, let me know. I NEED HELP AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. My claim is in the amount of roughly $35K and that is a very modest amount considering all the damage. read more

He went thru all details except for one which is very important. After I paid him he continues to with hold information does not mention about a 200 fee they will charge to bring your items to your new apartments to get the items on .so if u want to get anything out of your storage u would need to drive 45 minutes to down town and would have booked the visit online u can't call in and ask to be let into your storage. There are hundreds of other sites to rent storage from that won't charge u a 200 fee to get into your unit nor force u to drive hella far to avoid a fee this location is disgusting and u won't be happy dealing with these people . read more

I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled to do so because of the "above and beyond" service received by Box N Go to date. My daughter is a student at USC. She needed to store six boxes for the summer as we live on the east coast and shipping everything home and ship it back didn't make sense. I found Box N Go online after reading about summer storage services for college students. I thought, what a great idea, but I was a little concerned given that I am on the East Coast and have never dealt with such a service. Box N Go led me through the process to schedule the delivery of boxes and the pickup. Then the unexpected happened on the date of the pickup. There were road closures and the truck scheduled to make the pickup could not get near the Village housing. The driver texted my daugther. I contacted Box N Go. Box N Go helped to contact the driver and resolve the pickup. Later in the summer, Box N Go helped me with scheduling the delivery to her new address because both my daughter and I were unable to access the computer system. My daughter's flight was scheduled for August 2nd. I then worked with Box N Go to schedule the delivery for Wednesday, August 3. Then late Friday, July 29, my daughter received a text from her new apartment manager asking if she could change the move in date to later in the month. Box N Go was closed so I had to wait until Saturday to call them. My daughter worked on changing the flight. I worked on rescheduling other things affected by the change. I was able to speak to Box N Go on Saturday, July 30, and they were able to reschedule the delivery for August 15th. I also called Box N Go on Monday, August 1 to confirm the change and delivery address. They confirmed that everything was good. On Tuesday, Box and Go called me to confirm the change. They also reached out to my daughter on Wednesday (today) to confirm the change. I am very impressed with their service. I will add a final review, but can say that at this point I am so very impressed with the level of service received to date. read more

Warning: Do not trust what this company promises you! Moving out of state can be very stressful so finding the right company to help you is very important. This company failed on every level. They promised us that they would deliver the containers to our house and that their movers would load them and take them back to their facility on the same day. They also said that they would be able to ship our containers to Austin TX for us no problem. The day before our move we received a call informing us that their movers were not going to be available anymore. They said the containers can however still be delivered to our house and picked up on the same day and can still be shipped to Texas. This left us scrambling to find movers at the last minute. On the day of our move our containers were dropped off on time. We were supposed to have the containers until 3pm. The driver must of wanted to make it an early day because he continued to call and to check when we would be done loading them throughout the day. Their head office even called and tried to have the containers picked up 2 days later which would of been impossible since we had to vacate the property on our moving day. We finished loading the containers by 3 and off they went to the Box n Go warehouse. When it was time to plan the ship date with Box n Go, we called and emailed multiple times. Their response was always that they would have their long distance shipping coordinator reach out to us. This back and forth business went on with them for 2 weeks and we still never received a call from anyone to schedule the shipping date. We got fed up waiting and had to hire movers to drive to their warehouse to retrieve our belongings and then drive them to Texas for us. I called Box n Go after our movers were done unloading the containers and this was the only time that they informed me that they didn't have anyone in Austin that would be able to deliver the containers to us! This company canceled their movers on us the day before our move and failed to deliver our loaded containers to us as promised. read more

I ordered student storage for my summer break. I have experienced nothing but difficulties with Box N Go. I have been overcharged more than $300 on two different occurrences in a four month timespan for incorrect charges on this company's behalf. I have had to call and email numerous times to communicate with customer service about their incorrect charges, often being rerouted to another communication medium and a different person. Their customer service, through they tend to answer promptly, are for the most part uninformed about their policies, services, and calendar. I have not received my items back yet, and according to other reviews I am not worried about the condition of my property. However, their customer service and billing are abysmal. read more

Box n Go is the best, we kept our apartments in storage for 9 months while we traveled and everything was in perfect condition after we got it back. Ashley in the front office is awesome and super accommodating. The price is great compared to other storage facilities, trust me, we looked. The only bummer is that you have to pay separately for storage and pick up-- make sure to ask them about promotions though, they will work with you to get the best price. Helpful tip that I learned after I took everything out of storage: Box-n-Go offers drop off service where their delivery guys can stay there and wait for you to unload. It's super helpful especially when you live in Santa Monica and the oversized parking permits come out to almost $150!! They also have moving guys they partner with who can meet the delivery truck and move everything for you!! read more

We needed a place to move and store my son's stuff during summer break at UCLA. After having an awful experience last summer with another company, we decided to give Box-n-Go a try. Box-n-Go was fabulous to work with and did everything exactly as promised. Communications were friendly and professional. They delivered the pod and supplies right on schedule, picked up the filled pod and unused supplies when we were ready and then delivered everything back to us on the day we selected. We loved being able to load up the boxes and pod ourselves and lock it up for safe keeping. We really enjoyed doing business with Box-n-Go and will absolutely use them again next summer and beyond. We used BoxnGo a few years ago for deep storage. We were so happy with the experience, that we decided to use them again. I am glad that we did. Frank was very helpful on the phone and the delivery and pick-up of the boxes worked out perfectly. We had very limited space on the alley next to our house, so only two boxes were delivered at a time. Once the first two boxes were filled, they were removed and two other boxes were dropped out. We were very thankful because this kept the alley as open as possible. The movers, Gabriel & Angel were great to work with. They worked efficiently and carefully as they quickly loaded our furniture and personal belongings into the storage boxes. They made it work. +1 to the other negative reviews here. only went with them because they were *slightly* cheaper than the big guys, and local. what little i saved was not worth it at all- the box we had fell out of alignment after just a couple of things were added to it, and we needed help from neighbors to prop it back up so that the door could close (i had reached out to them for help on a friday and didn't hear back until the next monday). we then had our stuff in storage for a few months until having it returned- what proceeded was three months of incorrect monthly charges and zero receipts- their digital system is a complete mess. i would call and no one would have insight into my account or knowledge as to why i had been charged certain things. it took three phone calls to get a copy of my rental agreement and receipt of charges up to this point. the kicker? i had almost forgotten about them and leaving this angry review, but it would appear that my credit card number was stolen from their site and used "in person" to spend more money with them. cool! thanks for the reminder, gang. read more

Agree with "Westside M's" review. No stars if I could. Initially went with them as a smaller local company and their price was slightly better. We got what we paid for and paid for it dearly. We had just moved out of a 280 sf tiny house and we had very few items. We went with one storage pod. This is where you will find out that their containers are no comparison to POD or Packrat containers. Box-n-Go's are small, wooden, flimsy and have very little structural support. We loaded our container (which was dropped off in front of our house on a horizontal slant). We evenly displaced the weight as best we could but the first guy couldn't pick it up and blamed us for packing it "unevenly". Mind you, this is the same guy that dropped it off 2 days prior on the slant. We unpacked and pack and re-packed and re-orginized and ended up taking items out. Now it's the day that their supposed to pick it up. Apparently, they arrived, couldn't get the container picked up, said nothing to us and left. We had to call them when we thought no one showed up and we were informed that their driver "couldn't lift the container and left". They had no answer for us as to why no one would communicate anything with us. With our out of state move looming only a few days away we finally spoke to a "manager" who both on the phone agreed to send an additional container with the new driver and if they couldn't get the container loaded, would unload the additional container and wait while we cross loaded some items into the second container because in their words we, "had too many books", after counting all our books, it appears we have less than 50. If that's too many books, what is the company expecting people to load while moving? We had less than a studio apartment worth of belongings! No couch, no table, no mattress, just a subpar container that can only handle about 1/3 the weight as a POD or Packrat container. So the driver shows up, doesn't knock, call, text, picks up the container and leaves. Again with zero communication to us. At this point it appears that we are good to go and we move out of state. Approximately a week later we start getting emails from Box-n-Go stating that our container was "grossly" over weight and we would need to go to their storage facility to cross-load into a second container or we would be charged an extra $100 monthly for being over weight. Mind you, they could never give us a weight and the "guesstimates" ranged from 100 to 2000 lbs overweight. We got that ironed out and then began to receive up to 5 emails A DAY asking for good reviews, recommendations, etc. Finally months later we've located our new home and attempted to get our container delivered. When we initially went with Box-n-Go, we were quoted approx. $1600 for delivery. This quote was given to us by Freddy (who claimed he was a manager). It took us multiple calls to get anyone to give us a quote. We spoke with 3 different people who gave us 3 different prices over the course of a few days. Every time we asked for a bid in writing (since prices are constantly changing with them) they would agree, not send it and we wouldn't hear from them until we called back after 1-2 days of not seeing the bid. They ended up charging us around $2600 to deliver it from LA to Portland, OR (1,017 miles), this quote was given by Frank who then told us that "Freddy wasn't supposed to be giving out quotes". The month prior our, friend used PODS to move from Wisconsin to San Diego (2,037 miles) for ONLY $2100! When we asked how they calculate the delivery fee since it was substantially more than a cross-country move and were told, "the price is just the price". Is it? Then how did we receive 3 different prices? Then we were told it's extra to have them unload it, we declined. The next person told us they require their people to unload and it's included in the (new higher) price we were quoted. This place seems wildly unorganized, majorly mismanaged, and all around a company that makes things up on the fly and never wants to put anything in writing, giving them the latitude to change prices, times, or really anything to suit them better. All in all, for the few hundred dollars more it would've cost us to go with PODS we would've saved more money, time and headaches in the end especially with the fraction of the delivery cost. I would never consider this company nor would I recommend them to anyone. read more

If you care about the safety of your furnitures, please be extremely careful if you are thinking about choosing this company. If you are lucky, and your furnitures all remain intact after the storage period, then congratulations. You are out of trouble. However, if any of your furniture is broken, they wouldn't take any responsibility and would even blame you. Personally I used their helping hands service to help me move the furnitures, so I didn't have a chance to touch any of the furnitures at all. After two month of storage, when we took them out, we found that one desk was totally destroyed and almost all other furnitures were damaged in different levels. However, they didn't care about our loss at all and a few times of negotiation, the customer representative said, "we are done" and hang up the phone with a deafening sound. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- For Yelp Supervisors: I don't know why my photos were deleted. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE - unless you like getting ripped off and having your things damaged. If I could give zero stars, I would. Probably even negative stars. I called to have containers dropped off and I described the unique, but not difficult to access location the boxes would need to go. I described it as unique because it was a huge space between buildings that wasn't technically a driveway, nor an alleyway. I said not difficult to access because I see moving trucks and storage containers in that space all the time. It's where people load and unload their stuff when moving in and out of the surrounding apartments. I put a moving truck in there when I moved. Not difficult. The person I spoke to said, "Sure thing, we've delivered containers there before." On the day the containers were supposed to be dropped off, I was excited to get a call saying they'd be there in 10 minutes -- excited because they never sent me a confirmation despite saying multiple times they would. The guy arrived and claimed he couldn't back the truck up into the area to unload the boxes. I shared with him that he could, that people do it all the time, and that, in fact, there was a truck in the area right now to demonstrate that it can be done (the space is so big that you could easily fit six moving trucks in there). After some back and forth he called his manager who backed him up and said they couldn't be dropped off, but that they could get a moving crew out, load up another truck for me, then bring that truck to their facility and load up the containers for me there, to be dropped off when I wanted them. For only $650 dollars. I was in a bind because I had to be out of my apartment that weekend, and couldn't get another storage container dropped off on such short notice, but I wasn't going to pay $650. We found a crew who was able to do it for cheaper. They came and move my stuff out and into a truck (which they had no problem getting into the space the other guy couldn't). Fast forward three weeks and Box n Go wouldn't deliver my containers on the day I requested when I originally placed the order, claiming that I didn't request the date. So I was in my new place for four days without any of my things. When they finally did show up (I was sort of surprised they did), they dropped off the containers, and the driver asked where the keys were for the containers. I had no keys because I had no locks. Apparently the moving crew put their own locks on and I was then charged an additional fee to have them removed. Had I been told, I would have put my own locks on there. They also charged me an additional fee, claiming I had changed the date I wanted the empty containers picked up and that they were charging for the extra days. That was never the case. When I unloaded my stuff I had a broken lamp, a scratched wooden table top, a broken file container, and a few other broken and damaged items. This company is worthless. read more

We paid for our storage unit to be delivered on a Monday, it didn't show up so when we called they of course had no idea what was going on. This woman named Ashley told us she would get us an expedited delivery on Wednesday that normally costs 119$ and that they would waive the fee due to there own incompetence. They ended up charging us the extra 119 anyways and when we called to ask about it they said there was nothing they could do. I decided to move unexpectedly in March of 2011 and I had way too many items to take with me. It was the day before my move and I needed to figure out how to move my items in storage. I called a lot of box companies and movers and most of them laughed at me for calling to reserve a slot with less than 24 hours notice. The Box-N-Go guys took care of me and at the best rate too! They were very professional, quick and organized, and to my surprise, didn't have any problem finding a spot to place the box at my downtown apartment. I didn't have a need to visit the storage facility to take any of my items out, but I did store my stuff for a few months. LIFESAVERS. I had to move out of my apartment but my place wasn't ready for me to move in. I cringed at the idea of renting a u-haul and putting all my stuff in a storage location. Box-n-Go has been my storage solution TWICE now and I love them! I can't get over the convenience of it all-- it's quite brilliant. They drop the storage box in front of your apartment/house. Service is friendly and prompt. . I was able to pack about 30 medium sized boxes, ottoman, bike, large posters and other crap in there. Worked beautifully for me. Only downside is that you have to buy your own lock or purchase from the driver. I think I bought one for $7. If you have your own.. even better. You arrange a time for pick up usually the day after, and they place these boxes in a facility that you can access FOR FREE. See their website for more details. I have had my things in this storage since 2009. My things have been kept secure for the entire time. However, I recently visited and a lady was telling me she only pays $65.00 a month, whereas, I have always paid $72.00 and thought everyone paid the same price. The lady said I needed to negotiate a better deal. Then I came on this site and I read about promotional deals to save money. I am not complaining, just curious.
