There were a ton of people at this restaurant - the parking lot was massive and we STILL had to park in the grass!! And people have good taste! Like what I said, the food was great! The restaurant is also large. We had to wait about 25 minutes, but that wasn't too bad. We got seated and service was a little slow, but that was ok because of the 'rush hour traffic' going on at the restaurant. Once our server did get to us, she was great! We got the bloomin' onion as an appetizer. YES, they have a bloomin' onion. We love those things, and had to get one. Theirs is pretty good! The sauce is pretty close to Outbacks, and is not too greasy. I was surprised at how tender their Filet Mignon was. It was great! The sweet potato casserole is like a dessert (so good)!! And Mac and cheese is pretty ok as well. They gave us a ticket at the end of our meal for free ice cream for all 6 of us!! (Of course we had to use it since it's free). They have a shop to the left tucked away from the restaurant, with ice cream, shirts, a parrot, and many old timey merchandise! The blueberry cheesecake ice cream had good flavor, and had good texture! Not too icy. If you're in the area, come dine at Cody Creek! You will enjoy your experience.

This quintessential old school grill is situated in a rustic but cozy structure in a rural setting…read more The interior is open and most of the walls and ceiling are wood. The food is Southern style comfort food, from classic breakfast fare to burgers, fried chicken, beef tips, country style steak, pot roast, and club sandwiches, including my favorite, a cheeseburger club! In my visits here, I've had breakfast - eggs cooked perfectly over easy, and the shredded hash browns are excellent. For my lunch visits I had the Cheeseburger Club (excellent), the Chicken Livers (very nice, not the least overcooked), Country Style Steak, Hamburger Steak, and twice I chose Vegetable Plates - they have around 20 vegetables on the menu. I have tried pintos, stewed potatoes, collards, cabbage, fried okra, fried squash, mashed potatoes, corn, and cucumber salad. This is country cooking, served in a pleasant environment by friendly, efficient folks I encourage you to take a ride in the country and give this place a try.

They're absolutely unseasoned and bland. Not sure why, maybe because of the demographic- older folks need to watch for their sodium intake LOL. If you order green beans, you can season them and add butter that sits on the table, and that way they're fine. The Friday special - various combinations of fish and shrimp- have been consistently good and pretty big in size for one person. The last time, it was different - filets were so small, they looked like just scraps that fell off a large piece, plus add all the breading, you ended up with nothing but deep-fried breading. We complained to the waitress, and she said she was aware of that and assumed maybe they went with a different supplier. It was a few months ago, we haven't ordered fish since then. Hopefully they made a note and returned to their original fish dish sizes. The rest of menu is good and tasty (although I'd double check on spaghetti dish- ordered it once awhile back and it was bad, very thin and bland, tasted like a can of tomatoes were poured over noodles). Overall, the food is good and not expensive.

We were seated and welcomed immediately. Our server was so nice and friendly and was still attentive to us while doing her other tasks. Everyone working was busy as a bee. It's a small place in the corner of a strip-mall, but it gets the job done. We had never eaten here. Just passed it and thought, why not? I had a cheeseburger and fries and they were great! We tried their cheese sticks as well as hush puppies and they were yummy, too! We will definitely go again if in the area!
