Crazy to think Baton Rouge has so many boba tea places compared to about 6 years ago when I was in college struggling to find a decent boba tea place in town. MoMo tea hands down my favorite boba place in baton rouge ! I've had teatery , King Kong, Kung Fu ( they aren't as good as the Nola location for some reason) and Vivi which is aight lol. Momo Tea is one of my favorite boba places in the area at the moment. Workers are always polite, friendly and willing to help you. The drinks are a hit or miss in my opinion and the cheese foam is really an acquired taste. However, their bubble waffle is delicious!! Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. They also have ice cream flavors such as black sesame, red bean and green tea (along with other popular flavors). Momo Tea is different from the local bubble tea places here because of their cheese foam ($1.50) and they do not use powder in their drinks beside the matcha, which they get from Japan. If you have never tried cheese foam, I suggest you try it at least once. It's not as scary as it sounds. The place is spacious, modern, and bright. It would be a great spot to study or hang out with friends. They have board games to keep you entertained too! The drinks are noticeably more expensive here, but the quality justifies it most of the time. I don't know, I'm still kind of on the fence about it. Their tapioca can be inconsistent, which is annoying/disappointing because it's $1. On my recent visit I got the crystal tapioca and it was very firm. I went with a friend whose regular tapioca was fine, but on her first ever visit the tapioca was firm. As for the drinks, I love their lattes the most! The black tea latte and black w/ cheese foam are my favorites by far. Their bestseller is the super fruit tea (w/ watermelon & strawberry slices), which comes with the option of green tea or seasons tea. I got it with green tea and I wasn't a fan. I thought it was way too sweet the taste was lacking. The Japanese Tea Queen I found to be just okay as well. The cups they use are very durable and high-quality plastic. I certainly plan to re-use them on my next visit. I highly encourage everyone to do the same to help the environment! The desserts can be a bit pricey too, but the cheesecakes are very delicious and not too cheesy at all. The creme brûlée is also a must try. In the span of a little over a year, Baton Rouge has exploded with boba tea places. If only the Asian cuisine would also follow! Vivi, KFT, teatery, do we need boba franchise? Well apparently I think we do. Momo isn't your typical boba place. These specialize and focus on their "cheese foams". I personally did not try it, nor do I want to. Yes, close minded but cheese and a drink just don't mesh well in my mind. Instead, I opted for the Lime Passionfruit Seasons Tea. It's a delicious blend of tea over ice, and is even served with a few of the passionfruit seeds - to my surprise. The cups they use are thicker plastic - i plan on washing and re-using. Overall, my drink was delicious. Do I justify the price of $5.25? Idk. Maybe. I wanted boba but couldn't get myself to pay the extra $1 it cost for boba! No 50 cents, $1!!! They're aren't many, if any drinks on the menu that are less than $5. I'm not sure if it's because of location or not. But it's kind of pricey. If I'm in the area I wouldn't be opposed to stopping by. But I'm not sure if I'd trek out here just for one of their teas. My first time visiting and it's got an amazing modern atmosphere to lounge on any day. Today I tried the Strawberry Cheese Foam first. My friend got the match cheese foam and with both drinks, the flavors are a great complement to the cream cheese! Who would have thought cream cheese could add a burst of flavor like that?! I was some what disappointed when I drank all my drink. I love their cup too! It's a hard plastic! Not the flimsy one! New reusable cup for me! After I finished the strawberry cheese foam and proceeded to purchase the super fruit tea and the classic milk tea with boba. Personally for me the classic milk tea is very tea heavy. Heavier than other locations around town. BUT the super fruit tea is really refreshing. It's got fresh watermelon slices, strawberries, and lime slices in it! I found the more tea I drank, the more of the fruit flavoring I would taste. Would definitely come back and try more. This particular tea spot main focus is cheese foam, a new trend in the tea world that involves a foamy layer of milk and cream cheese on top of a cold tea. JAPANESE TEA QUEEN (w/ cheese foam): My drink of choice. I love green tea anything, which was then base of this drink, cheese foam being the topping. I was recommended to tilt the cup back further when taking a sip in order to get both cheese foam and tea together. I wasn't too much of a fan of the amount of cheese foam, it overall not too bad of a drink. And even though I had the normal sugar amount, it wasn't overly sweet. I went at night with my boyfriend and tried their famous cheesecake foam milk tea and he tried their brûlée milk tea. I will say for someone who likes chocolate he loved his brûlée. It's also super snap and ig worthy because they take a torch to the top. I liked the cheesecake foam though I would recommend getting it cold not hot because I forgot about my boba at the bottom so I wasted good boba. This review is based solely from the mochinut (mochi + donuts) and the ambiance. I thought it was a really cute place. The employees that I saw didn't seem super enthusiastic, but I guess everyone is entitled to have a moment. The prices are a bit high IMHO. We tried three mochinuts--the glazed, the king cake, and the funnel cake. Truthfully, I thought they were super bland for the most part. The only exception was that, on the flip side, the king cake had wayyyy to much cinnamon (for me, it was overpowering), but if that's your jam then you may not be as disappointed. The flavor was a bomb for me but the treats were really visually appealing. It was my first time trying this so maybe they're not supposed to have a strong flavor. I digress. I might go back to try something else as the menu is quite unique. Here's to hoping they do well and maybe find a little more flavor in the mochinuts. read more

It basically tasted like fresh oranges blended in white or green tea. It was very refreshing. I also love the cup that it comes in because it's cute and can be reused. The only thing I would ask is that the caffeine info is available somewhere as I try to stay away from caffeinated beverages and like to know how much each tea has in it. This is a great place to study or hang out! They have delicious drinks, that are made very well. I had the strawberry with the cheese foam and it was really yummy. Not too sweet (which you can also customize), which I enjoyed and very flavorful. The foam balanced it very well. They also have other snacks and were sampling bubble wrap egg pancakes (that's what I call them). It is also a great place to study as there are outlets throughout the cafe and there is free Wifi. If you don't want to study, it's also a great place to hang out as there are tons of board games to play. The atmosphere is clean and opened space and it just feels great to be inside. The only downside is that the plaza is difficult to get into. Certain driveways don't actually connect to the plaza and it can be a pain to find the right path in! read more

Best boba tea in Louisiana! I used to get amazing boba milk tea in Indiana and when I moved here, I search everywhere for something similar but nothing was quite right. I thought I'd just have to settle for mediocre milk tea forever until Momo came along! The perfect balance of creaminess, sweetness and the bitterness of the tea. The boba is a fun touch but it's just as delicious without it if that's not your jam. I've tried lots of the desserts and they're all delicious! Everytime I go in, I say I'm going to try something new but always end up just getting my usual milk tea. I look forward to eventually trying more too! Nice brand new place it's a cute place to sit and sip a tea with a friend or alone.The specialty here is cheese foam tea which for people such as myself that have no clue what the heck cheese foam tea is, it's cream cheese in top of the tea you choose so if you tilt your glass at a45 degree angle with no straw you taste everything without the cream cheese but when you add the straw it's supposed to be a smoothie. They also Milk Teas and several other choices but sadly not my favorite which is what I stopped in for. I love the fruit slush ones they are so incredibly cold and refreshing and my personal favorites are passion fruit or green apple but they informed they don't do slushes the closet thing is the fruit smoothie with cheese foam so I ordered it and my flavor was fresh watermelon cheese smoothie well the watermelon juice would be a fantastic frozen slush bubble tea but they don't do that here. The cheese watermelon green tea smoothie was great if you did the 45 degree tilt and got the refreshing watermelon juice but once you stick in the straw and your driving along in your car the whole thing turns into the smoothie that it is lol Then it's nothing more than a $6.50 watermelon milk.
