Small breakfast place in downtown Vallejo serving large portions of well cooked food. I ordered Chicken and Waffles which they served with a side of eggs. The chicken was cooked perfectly, very nice crispy skin, non-GMO size, and the meat was not dry. Just right! The seasoning is simple (pretty sure it's Lawry's seasoned salt) which was a little disappointing since the chicken was cooked so well. Another odd thing was they came out with the chicken and the eggs on one plate and it took a few minutes for the waffles to come out. The server checked on me when she saw I wasn't eating and I had to ask if the waffles will be out soon. Coz really, it's called Chicken AND Waffles, not Chicken and Eggs, with a side of waffles. Just saying. Still I would forgive that and (even seasoned salt) because, did I mention, the chicken was cooked PERFECTLY?!! My BF had the Santa Fe omelet that came with a side of three stacks of pancake! He finished it all! The food was really good. His main complaint was the same generous helping of seasoned salt on his potatoes and that the "maple syrup" was not real maple. So I think the food here is really a near four. But I had to take off a star because they have a sizeable TV on the wall which was blaring football the entire time we were there. We wanted a nice leisurely lazy Sunday breakfast and that just didn't happen because of the TV situation. We just wanted to eat our food and get out of there. Mini me and I decided to try this place out on a Sunday afternoon. We waited a long time to get a table inside as we didn't want to eat out front. We both came solely to try the waffle and chicken dish that we always heard about. Once we got seated our server was quick and courteous. We placed our order and even mentioned we would take one to go for the Mr at home. I tried to get mini me to just share one order of the chicken and waffle but she wanted her own plate. Once the dishes came out to our table she immediately says we should have shared!! Too late though. The portions were huge!! One fluffy waffle along with chicken and scrambled eggs!! Omg they were so generous with the chicken too. I loved it all so much that I barely remembered to take a picture of it!! The place is tiny though as mentioned by other reviewers. Came downtown for the Farmers Market, and walked directly to Momo's! The bf decided on the huevos rancheros with extra salsa verde (oh so yum!) and I ordered the chicken and waffles. You can practically drink the salsa verde...its THAT good! And my chicken? Fried perfectly, no heavy batter and it was seasoned just right. How I love their waffle too..the butter just melts in every crevice and the syrup is absorbed so quickly that each bite is heaven! The rare 5 star rating, but I had to. The food was so darn good!!!! I wasn't sure about this place at first because their hot chocolate machine was broken, then they didn't have chocolate milk... They didn't have chicken and waffles. ;(. But when it came to the good they more than made up for it. For the children's plates, the servings were quite generous. The pancakes were so delicious! There is a different texture to them, a lil something extra to make it super good. Best pancakes I've had in years. The chicken fried steak n eggs was also very good. It came with potatoes and oh boy! Delicious! French toast was great as well. Everyone at the table couldn't stop talking about how good the food was. This is a "dirty-diner" to me. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it is what it is. The food is pretty unhealthy (but can be tasty). When I went in the bathrooms I felt like I was in high school again. I also feel that it's one of those places where you order and then server never comes back again unless you really try to get their attention. Again, dirty-diner. Aside from being way overpriced it's also funny that they serve Mexican food. I would not come back--it would be better to go to IHOP or another place like that. read more

I really don't understand how this place has great reviews I went here for a chicken burrito little do i know the guacamole means 2 quarters of an avocado. There was so much sour cream that it was disgusting. No flavor and giant chunks of chicken. I took it back and spoke to the owner he said there is nothing he could do if nothing is wrong with it, I told him there is, it's not as mentioned and has no flavor. He replied "I go to restaurants all the time and I don't get satisfied, it happens, sometimes our restaurant serves nasty food, just eat it or throw it away" that's not how restaurants should Be, if you eat somewhere you should expect to enjoy the food. I've never heard that kind of excuse. I say avoid this disgusting food and terrible management. If you happen to not like your food there is nothing you can do. The owner will say he doesn't care if it's nasty, I say Mac Donald's might taste even better than this place. I got pancakes topped with strawberries, pecans and powdered sugar (pictured). It was cooked to perfection and quite tasty I must say! On the side came scrambled eggs and hearty strips of bacon. My husband got the Santa Fe omelet (jack cheese, bell pepper, chorizo, bacon) with salsa verde and country potatoes (not pictured unfortunately) It looked as good as it tasted omg was it amazing! We went to this place on the reviews and we wish we hadn't wasted the money!! Ordered the mushroom burger at 11:30 am and I was completely disappointed. The patty was smashed so flat and totally dry but friend in tasteless chorizo oil. The bun was soaked in chorizo oil and the oil tasted old; NO flavor. I cut the burger in half and tried to choke down half but I gagged the last bite of the half and wasted my food. The coleslaw was cute green cabbage with SUPER sweet sauce that tasted like it was from a jar. No carrots or purple cabbage in the coleslaw. The lettuce to my burger was iceberg and not washed; there was dirt in between the leaves and it was SOGGY. No crunch. My husband and two kids ordered breakfast. They loved the pancakes but the potatoes were F@*king nasty. Soggy, no seasoning, bathed in chorizo grease so it was a waste of money since that was 3/4 of the plate. No one ate the potatoes. My husband even wasted his scrambled eggs which is pretty easy not to mess up. Two adults, eleven and six year old was a $37.00 bill and we had to go home and eat. The waiter was miserable and it showed on his face. The waitress that helped up after was nicer. We will not be returning to this place. read more

Unassuming little place along Georgia. My girlfriends and I wanted to grab a bite of breakfast before our nephew's Yo Gabba Gabba Dance Party in Vallejo that afternoon. I went to Yelp! to see what Vallejo could offer, and MoMo's came up right away. I passed around the recommendation to the other gals and they agreed it look like a good spot. We went on Saturday morning, so the first thing you'd need to know is that this is the same day as the Farmer's Market, which runs along George. So you won't be able to drive down the particular part of Georgia that MoMo's sits on, or park there, but there was plenty of street parking within 2 minutes walking distance Two of us walked right past it! I suppose we were looking for some grand entryway with a colorful chalkboard or something, but it looked more like a small cafe, which it is. Don't let the unassuming nature of this cafe fool you-- the food is hearty, plentiful, quick to the table, and absolutely delicious. We ordered French toast, and two orders of Huevos Rancheros, one with pork, one with steak. Both delicious. Came with guac, black or pinto beans (we both got black-- so good), sour cream and rice in a tortilla hard taco, open faced shell. Comes with salsa verde, which is so rare to see in your average restaurant, and was so appreciated! We both love salsa verde. We devoured our meals. I also had the bottomless coffee, which they kept filled. Service was friendly, attentive. The place is smaller than I thought it would be, so I wouldn't necessarily host a group brunch/breakfast/lunch unless I made reservations, which you can do at OpenTable.com. I eat absolutely no where else for breakfast. I love their food and that have a pretty fair variety. Plus the owner is so chill and down to earth. I don't like going to places and having people butter you up. I rather your food get me hyped! And this place is definetly that spot. They used to be down on springs now they moved to Georgia street...(I'll give you my opinion on that in a minute). As for my go to food it's always got to be a omelet. I did have a burrito before it was so good, huge also. I didn't finish it at all I was like so full, my eyes probably were popping out. As for that location? I do not know why they picked this new place in the most hoodrat, ghetto, violent part of Vallejo? I mean right next to a liquor store? Really? That ain't hot!!! The atmosphere is friendly, and the big screen TVs play sports. Once we ordered, the food arrived in no time. Everything tasted fresh. Before going to the Vallejo Farmer's Market last Saturday we stopped into Momo's, in downtown Vallejo, for a little breakfast. We were very please that there were tables available, despite the number of people outside at 5he Farmer's Market. I attribute the open tables to the quick and friendly service by three different employees. Our order was taken quickly and the food was served in no time. Part of my order included a side of pancakes. I liked them a lot. They were a little crispy, which I liked. We originally had planned to eat at another downtown Vallejo spot, but when we went in there was a unpleasant restaurant smell, so we left. I'm very glad we did. Staff was attentive, communicative, and a man had even fallen down outside the restaurant and one of the waiters ran outside to assist the guy.
