This review is long over due. Yes, the food is legit. It's not Denny's or IHOP, or any of the other chains you can visit. This is small town, we care about what we serve, cooking. And it's awesome. BUT, if it was just the food, I'd give it 4 stars. The 5th star is for the people that work there. They make sure you're comfortable, and not in a fake, "is your food ok" as they're walking by. If you DO NOT eat PORK, and you want a *savory breakfast,* I would not advise you to eat here. All breakfast meat options are made with pork and the country potatoes are made with pork-based chorizo. That knocks out nearly all the savory options for breakfast sides. If you're going for Fried Chicken & Waffles, call ahead to see if they are making fried chicken. I went this morning and got disappointed. I settled for a fruit waffle then taking half of it home to fry my own turkey bacon/eggs with it. Had lunch there today and was great. Three of us all went different directions. 1-burger and fried; 1- club with fruit and I had The Steve: omelet with hot link and veggies. They were practicing social distancing and masks here.The staff was friendly . Our waiter was the best I didn't get his name. We ordered our food and it came fairly quickly. When in Vallejo, you have to try Momo's. Yes, it is quite small, but you can luck up and be seated immediately. That's what happened in my case, at least on a Friday around 11 AM. I ordered the plain waffle. I don't have a big appetite for breakfast, but this waffle was just the right size. I enjoyed the waffle/butter because it had just the right amount of saltiness to counter the sweetness of the syrup. The staff here is excellent. They are very attentive and friendly. Still great food, but man, the prices have changed SO MUCH. A plain stack of pancakes used to be $8, now $15! $15 for 3 Pancakes?! No sides or anything. Well, first things first, we arrived on a Thursday morning. I believe it was almost 10:30am. My friend, Jason & I were getting together for our monthly breakfast meetup. We walked in and it was jam packed. It is now more like a very small cafe than a restaurant. There is very little seating indoors and the atmosphere is hot, crowded and greasy. Thank goodness for us; they offered outdoor sidewalk seating! We decided to eat outdoors! There wasn't much seating outdoors either, but we lucked out and snabbed a four top table. It wasn't long after we arrived that a mother/son duo walked in. There was no seating for them, so we invited them to join us. They were grateful and sat down beside us. The mother told us of her life growing up in Vallejo. She informed us of how her son had a stroke and how he lost his girlfriend, his home, and how he moved back in with her so she could care for him. It was so sweet, yet so sad. I ordered their Chicken Fried Steak and Jason ordered his usual as well, a Garden Omelet. They both came with country potatoes, choice of toast or pancakes, and I even got 2 eggs, any style with my breakfast! Talk about an enormous hungry man's breakfast!! We were stuffed by the time we completed our amazing conversation with our new local neighborhood friends. Momo's Cafe has become a local staple spot in Vallejo. It is a small locally owned business that is known for its great food, friendly staff, and central location. Had the opportunity today to go to Momo's Cafe for breakfast with my husband. I had been hankering for some pancakes and let me tell you they did not disappoint. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The servers were friendly and made sure we were enjoying our time there. Hubby ordered the Carnitas Omelet, Country Potatoes and a side of pancakes.(YES! The place is called MOMO's and ran by a father and son team. There menus is like any other place but there twist is is amazing. French toast for sample the French toast comes with bananas strawberries pecan and whip cream with warm syrup. Then combined in your mouth is worth the trip. Everything is overpriced!! Went in about 10:45am My kids wanted the bean and cheese burritos but they were already out of the flour tortillas. My hubby wanted the huevos rancheros with pork but they were all out of pork. Both of my kids ordered hot chocolate so one was made with hot foamed milk and the other hot chocolate was flat and made with cold milk. The waiter promised to remake it and brought it to my kid by the time we were finished eating and ready to leave. One of my kid ordered a grilled cheese, she said it was gross the cheese wasn't even melted. They had forgot to bring me my sourdough toast with my meal. I really feel like everything was just thrown together very carelessly. I wish I would've taken photos. Also they really need to dust in there. Things they have up on the shelves as decor looks filthy like they've never been cleaned. The manager/owner really needs to do better. read more

Googled breakfast spots on a lovely Saturday morning. One of the first choices was Momo's Cafe. Never been before but previously heard they had great food. Small but quaint spot. Gets super busy and there is limited seating, so make sure you try and get there early. Order was taken shortly as we sat down. Food was delivered promptly about roughly 15 mins later. Came in today with my family expecting to great breakfast especially after some bad news. Order at the table our party wasn't that big just six. I order first I asked for something simple eggs, waffle , & potatoes. Everyone got the food with someone ordering chicken at the table. Received there food first.
