Stopped here for a quick meal before heading to an event at BNL. I didn't have super high expectations since I had read the reviews beforehand, but overall it was a decent experience. It's located inside a food hall type of thing, so it shares the space with other restaurants. The area is very well lit, which I actually liked, it made the space feel open and lively. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll, which I had read can take a long time to come out, but that wasn't the case at all. It took about 10 minutes. I also ordered the duck fat fries. Everything I had was pretty good and came out at a reasonable pace. One downside was that our table didn't have utensils or napkins, so we had to ask for them. My friends ordered drinks and had to ask for straws, and a few appetizers were ordered only for us to be told later that they weren't available, which was a bit annoying. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're looking for something convenient before heading to TD Garden or an event in the surrounding area. Not super memorable, but it gets the job done.

The price menu is $19 and they said they didn't update it yet.

Price Tan Tan is $19 but come out $20 at check out. Pork was just pork belly roll ,not chashu pork. tastes old and weird. Tuna sushi was terrible, not fresh. Wasabi smell old and not taste the way it is.

We came here before going to TD Garden -- the location is convenient and interesting with many food options to choose from. Our server was lovely, kind, and accommodating. The food was a bit disappointing -- lacking flavor. For an $8 bao bun, there was very little to it, a piece of pork and lettuce. For the price point we were expecting more. The ramen was decent but again, lacking flavor.

The food at momosan ramen Boston was very mediocre and nothing special. I thought the ramen was kind of overpriced but it was located the in the TD garden food hall so that's to be expected. I got the all star ramen and it was $29 but I thought the overall portion felt small considering the price tag. Getting a seat wasn't too difficult around 5pm on a Thursday and we didn't have any reservation either which was nice. And overall the service was alright but the waitress was kind of rude. The restaurant was practically empty when I visited so I placed my bag on the seat next to me at my table and she told me I had to move it if someone came. It seemed very strange for her to say that given there were more than enough seats to go around. Overall, I found that the tables were kind of small and the noise level was loud but not too loud that you weren't able to talk to one another. Not my favorite ramen spot and wouldn't revisit again.

My friends and I stopped in while visiting the area and decided to give this place a try. The host was kind enough to reserve a table for us to return around dinner time, and we were seated right away when we arrived. It's located in a food court-style area with several other eateries serving the West End. Our server was wonderfully polite and truly the only reason this place earned any stars. I ordered the popcorn shrimp, spicy wontons, and a spicy yellowtail sushi roll, while my wife ordered a ramen bowl and edamame appetizer. The edamame portion was quite small, though she seemed content with it. Unfortunately, the food was a huge letdown. The popcorn shrimp was drenched in sauce, making it nearly inedible. The spicy wontons had absolutely no flavor; it was the equivalent of eating mushed baby food. The sushi roll was the most disappointing of all; it was dry, with a thin sliver of fish and none of the quality or freshness I'd expect from a restaurant associated with a "well known" chef. While the space itself is nicely laid out and the food court atmosphere didn't bother me, the overall experience was a total disappointment. Great service, but the food missed the mark completely.

If you like ramen, AVOID this place. Went here recently after catching a movie at AMC. We ordered Brussels sprouts and some baos. The Brussels were excellent. The Baos were plain. Just the bread+meat+piece of lettuce. No sauce, no garnishes. My husband ordered the $30 all star and I ordered the Tokyo chicken. It took FOREVER to get these soups. We almost cancelled and left because it took so long. When the ramen finally arrived we were underwhelmed and disappointed to say it kindly. The broth had zero flavor and was so greasy. None of the meat had any taste. We were so disappointed with this place.

    Edamame and vegan ramen

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Good ramen, but the sushi was very slow to come out. We were looking for a dinner spot in the TD Center food hall and this place caught our eye. The hubby saw that they had a vegan ramen and we decided to give it a go. The decor was typical modern food hall nice, and on the night of our visit it wasn't crowded at all. The hubby got his vegan ramen, which we thought was very good--the broth was spicy, nutty and complex. The tofu was fried, which was unexpected but good. We shared an order of edamame, which was ok, nothing fancy. I wasn't in the mood for ramen so opted for the sushi and roll combo (3 pc nigiri, choice between two small rolls), which took WAY longer than the ramen to come out. We saw that they had two separate areas for ramen and sushi preparation, and the sushi guy was falling behind--perhaps due to to-go orders? At any rate, the combo was a pretty good deal price-wise, but nothing fancy, like the edamame. The ramen seemed to be where it's at, as the name indicates. The service was nice but overall I'd say just ok experience.

Am always star struck when it comes to Chef Masaharu Morimoto. Been to his NY restaurant several times before it closed years ago; then to his restaurant in Napa Valley - had a beautiful graduation party there with my first cousins in San Francisco; then to his restaurant in Philly. With such high end venues, I was surprised to tumble into his Ramen sit down here in Boston in a food court! The ambiance is a 5. Very classic Motomoto, understated elegant touches, modern clean lines, decor reflect his homage to his Japanese roots. The service is a 5. Friendly staff that gave me a menu to peruse even when they weren't yet. No rude treatment as other reviews shared, my lucky day. I wanted to order the duck tacos but they said it's really fried duck wontons. So I just ordered Tonkatsu ramen. It was good except that it didn't have enough umami. The pork wasn't pork belly or char shu like most, and it was so fatty.i'd rate ramen a 4.

This is a convenient place to get food if you're in the area, but otherwise it's a meh experience. We had a concert to attend to next door and thought we'd get a quick bite, but it was anything but quick. We waited over 20 minutes for seating and weren't going to get seated unless we asked because the text didn't go through. Then we waited another 40 minutes for our food and we were late for our concert by then. The food was decent, got the tsukemen, and I think they felt bad and gave us some extra toppings. I didn't have much time to enjoy it though and just scarfed it down. They also don't have udon noodles. The karaage was very good though, crispy, juicy and flavorful. Would recommend getting it if you come.

We stopped in before a Bruins game. Reservations are recommended, they were busy! We started with a shrimp tempura roll that was really good! The ramen was delicious. The tan-tan is definitely spicy, but amazing. It's loud but you're next to TD Garden on a game night, we had an awesome time and our server was perfect. Highly recommend stopping in!

While my ramen was tasty, but the noodles were very overcooked. The noodles are very mushy and detracted from the broth. Also was also lacking even though I was one of 4 patrons and the location was well staffed. In addition, the entire bar was so sticky that menus, napkins, and even coasters stuck to it.

Popcorn shrimp and All Star ramen
    Thomas A.

The popcorn shrimp had some heat to it but it was overly drenched in the aioli sauce. It was too much, which made it taste heavy and greasy. The all star ramen was okay. The broth was good as well as the thin chashu pork slices. The pork belly slice was a tad sweet for my taste.

My husband and I came here while visiting the area. Service was great all around. Our hostess and waitress were both friendly. The ramen was just ok, a little bland for me. The fried chicken and seared fish were quite good with the fried chicken being the highlight. It was so flavorful. The ambiance is nice and bright and everything was clean and organized. I forgot to take photos of the food.

We walked into a cozy, compact space with a traditional ramen shop feel, the kind of place where the smaller layout gives it a more intimate atmosphere. The interior is warm and functional, with a counter and a few tables that make it a comfortable stop for a warm meal, though seating can be limited during busier times. The energy stays focused and efficient, fitting the style of a neighborhood ramen spot. The ramen is the main reason to visit. The menu offers a variety of broths and styles, including tonkotsu, miso, shoyu, and spicy options. We ordered the spicy miso ramen and found it had a good balance of heat and flavor without being overwhelming, with the broth rich enough to carry the noodles and toppings without becoming too heavy. The noodles had a nice texture, and the bowls felt satisfying, especially on a colder day. The toppings, including pork belly and other additions, helped add more depth to the meal, with the chashu tender and well seasoned and the soft-boiled egg cooked to that perfect jammy consistency. The appetizers are also worth trying. Items like karaage, takoyaki, and gyoza pair well with the ramen and make the meal feel more complete, and we appreciated that the menu has enough variety for a quick ramen stop or a longer meal where you want to try multiple dishes. One thing to keep in mind is that Tora Ramen is cash only, so it is worth planning ahead before visiting. There is an ATM nearby, but it can be inconvenient if you are not expecting it. The restaurant is also fairly small, so there may be a wait during peak hours, though the turnover is usually reasonable and the staff handle the flow efficiently. Tora Ramen is a solid spot for ramen in Chinatown. The cozy atmosphere, flavorful bowls, and casual experience make it a good choice when you are craving a comforting meal. The cash-only setup and limited seating are small drawbacks, but the quality of the ramen makes it worth visiting for a warm, satisfying bowl in a no-fuss setting.

I am always surprised at how full I am when I leave! I'm stuffed every time. There is complementary miso soup with all of the bowls I've tried, outlined below. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail. I liked the yellowtail in this a lot and found that it stood out the most from the other two fish in this particular bowl!

Every time I'm like "where should I go in downtown" I just get stuck on this place like it's worn a groove in my brain. Like one of RFK's brain worms. It's a little confusing to order but basically you pick a soup, pick a spicy level (burn your face or burn your colon) and then add an absurd amount of toppings. Then they deliver a bowl the size of your head (or my head, I have a big head) and you kind of reconsider your life decisions. I like this over the other hot pot tech because my two greatest weaknesses are cooking and choosing. At least this takes out one of those. The beef itself had a strange taste and wasn't enjoyable at all. When I asked for chopped green onions, they told me they had already run out. The food also lacked flavor, so I asked for chili sauce since it is only chili oil with almost no actual chili sauce. When I mentioned it, they said that's just how they make it. It got even more ridiculous. They serve Coke, but when I asked for a cup of ice, they said they didn't have any ice left!!! We also ordered the crispy pork for $8.99, and the portion was surprisingly small for the price. The service wasn't good either. Our bill came to about $44, and I still left a $6 tip even though I wasn't happy with the experience. Instead of thanking us, the server ( a lady) came over and complained that my tip was "just under 15%" and said their restaurant expects a minimum 15% tip and started to give a nasty attitude after! Honestly, after hearing that, I almost wanted to take the tip back. Tips should be earned through good food and good service, not demanded. Overall, this meal was a huge disappointment, and I would not recommend this restaurant.

It is a self service restaurant that has limited seating so just a heads up that you may have to wait, but trust me it's worth the wait!

The ordering experience was a little odd, but the food came out very quickly. I got the truffle ramen with the spicy broth, and it was very good (which was not really spicy, simply well seasoned), and quite filling. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. One of us got the non-spicy broth, and she noted that she thought the spicy broth was better (and again, not truly spicy at all), so I'd just keep that in mind when ordering. I also got the truffle mac & cheese, which I was pleasantly surprised by! It was pretty good, and came with some sort of delectable crunchies on top which I was obsessed with. I haven't had much ramen since I became vegan, so I don't really have any other vegan ramen to compare it to, but it's certainly some of the best I've had so far.

Once seated, three different servers came by asking if we had ordered drinks yet. We told them we had, but then we sat there for about 15 minutes before anyone came back to take our food order. By that point, the restaurant had already slowed down significantly, yet staff members were standing around chatting instead of checking on tables. When our server finally took our order, she seemed annoyed and rushed, asking if that was all we wanted before quickly walking away. After we finished eating, we had to wave down staff multiple times just to get the check, but no one came. Eventually, I walked to the front to pay, and the same server who took our order asked, "How may I help you?" I explained that we had been trying to check out and no one had checked on us. Her response was simply, "I can check you out then". The food was decent, but the service was some of the worst I've experienced. Poor communication, long waits, lack of attentiveness, and an unprofessional attitude completely overshadowed the meal. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Everyone was able to order something that they really enjoyed for a reasonable price. The atmosphere was perfect and the staff handled our large party with ease.
