Moncherioue serves some really delicious cream puffs. The texture is soft and fresh, with a light shell and plenty of filling in every bite. The mango passion fruit cream puff was bomb. Wish I could of gotten more, but only had sample size. Only gotten the banana hojita and Dubai chocolate. The banana flavor was so so, but the Dubai chocolate with the pistachio filling had the awesome creamy crunchy texture. Will get more in the future, especially the mango passion fruit. I LOOOOOOOVE THESE CREAM PUFFS!!! I first got to try it out during a Yelp Elite event couple years ago but it's been so delicious and the collaborations have been so exciting that I and my friends have ordered them several times. For 6 mini puffs and 3 specialty puffs it came out to be around $36. For the minis I ordered: Biscoff, Passion Fruit, Strawberries and Cream, and Vietnamese Coffee. My favorite out of these were the Vietnamese Coffee and the Biscoff. I feel that the minis are the best size, and the cream to filling ratio is perfect. The larger ones are a bit messy so I think overall I prefer the smaller size. For the larger specialty puffs I ordered a Hojicha Banana and two Potato Croquettes which was a collaboration with Karanchi Chili Crisps. The Hojicha Banana had actual banana chunks in the filling which was a nice surprise! It wasn't too sweet which is the highest Asian praise given :P For the Potato Croquettes, three outside crackle portion was sweet so it gave it a sweet and savory taste. I feel like I would have liked it better if it was a savory crackle though. The inside was made of mashed potatoes and it had cubes of ham and corn, and the entire croquette was topped with Karachi Chili Crisps to give it heat and a slightly smokey flavor. Kelly was super sweet regarding pick up!! I had overslept a Saturday morning pickup and she was able to make them fresh for me to pickup the next day at another pop-up!! I am so happy I finally got to try these cream puffs! And they over exceeded my expectations even though I knew they were going to be so yummy based on seeing what everyone was saying on social media and by the way the cream puffs looked! Every time I saw a post about them online, my mouth would water because cream puffs are one of my absolute favorite desserts ever. I got to try their chocolate sweet cream corn puffs from their pop up they did at Oh My Pate Cafe in San Marcos because that is the flavor I've been wanting to try for a year now. I talked to the owner briefly and she was so sweet and friendly! You can really tell how much love, effort, and care she puts to making them because of the ingredients she uses and how beautiful they look. Every part of the cream puff was amazing. The pastry part was a pleasant surprise because of how light and crisp it was which is different from the cream puffs I've had. The cream was perfectly sweet where it wasn't overpowering or too sweet and it had a nice touch of corn; plus it wasn't heavy. The chocolate on top was a wonderful addition and I could tell that the chocolate used was high quality and I definitely enjoyed the chocolate part. Every texture and flavor worked perfectly and balanced each other out which surprisingly made them not heavy at all. It's so great to now know that we have yummy cream puffs around and that she has been expanding her location visits! Always check their instagram for where they're going to be! I ended up in a random warehouse next to a tray of broccoli in Old Town while searching, but I eventually made it! And it was so worth it! We literally got one of everything, and the way these things were STUFFED was phenomenal. Each was a whole meal on its own. The cream was so fresh and inspired. I didn't think I'd like corn cream and chocolate, but that was my favorite! I also really appreciated the fact that each puff was stuffed on-site so they weren't all dense and wet when we got home. I got to try these amazing Korean cream puffs at a pop up at Cafeina Cafe in City heights! The mazapan latte cream puff was absolutely heavenly - you could really taste the mazapan and the coffee individually and the cream was made to perfection. I also tried an assortment of other flavors and I still think about the Thai tea and Ube cream puffs - the way the flavors were incorporated into the cream was beautiful.
