California Killer Cookie ($3.50) - I preferred this cookie because it had a mix of dark and milk chocolate chips, which elevated the quality of this cookie for me! Unc's Chunk ($3.50) - This was their spin on a peanut butter blossom, which I enjoyed.

California killer cookie without the walnuts and pecans because the last ones were in our dozen box

This cookie shop is a classic in our household. We have to come here at least every year and get a dozen cookies. All of them are good, but my favorite is the California killer cookie with pecans and walnuts. I recommend that if you have a hard time making decisions with which cookie to start out with. I would've taken a photo of the cookies in the box, but everyone's hand is reaching inside for a cookie the moment the box is opened.

Came down to San Diego to pickup something and my son demanded we make a cookie stop here. An order of two quickly turned into a dozen. We did manage to keep our hands off until we got back to OC. So far we've really enjoyed the whole batch. Been coming here for around 30 years. Great service from really good people. Supporting a local business. They do have POS. We did ApplePay

One of my favorite spots in SD for classic cookies! They have mostly classic flavors, nothing too crazy but sometimes that's what I'm looking for. My favorites are the California killer cookie (with no nuts) and the golden oatie (oatmeal with chocolate chips). Parking is sometimes tough, but I try to avoid peak times. I did knock off a star because I ordered the California killer cookie with no nuts and they gave me the ones with nuts. Thankfully I'm not severely allergic but I do have a walnut sensitivity and I immediately felt it on the first bite so I had to run in and exchange it. That kind of mistake could be way worse for someone with a severe allergy.

I've heard so much about this place so I had to visit. The service is very fast as most cookies are already pre made. The inside is small with no tables and chairs. You can get a half dozen cookies for about $20. The cookies themselves are pretty good. They are nice and chewy.

The only good cookie. Oatmeal chocolate chip

I've been wanting to try their cookies out and finally took the plunge. The cookies were kind of small for the price and there were flies trapped in between the display case along the cookies. We ordered half a dozen, the coconut macadamia cookie was not good, tasted like cardboard. Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookie was alright, we've had better. Oatmeal chocolate chip was actually pretty good and the others weren't memorable enough for me to even think of what else we ordered. I believe we actually only took a bite or so and tossed them out. The girl at the counter, seemed annoyed that there were customers and wasn't very welcoming.

Being from San Francisco, this is like the San Diego version of Hot Cookie. Absolutely love all the variety. Plus all the cookies tasted so fresh. California Killer Cookie (No Nuts): A crowd favorite. Something really nice about mixing white chocolate and milk chocolate. Chocolate Chip Macadamia: Love me some macadamia nut, so even better with chocolate. Double Fudge: It was an all chocolate cookie, but I didn't seem to pick up on the double aspect. Golden Oatie: I'm usually not a fan of oatmeal cookies, but this one was great. Really loved the chocolate chip against the grainy oat. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip: A very peanut buttery cookie with a few chocolate chips on top. Kinda wish there was more chocolate. Sea Salt Caramel: I think this was my favorite. A regular chocolate chip cookie with a big circle of caramel in the middle. Like how can someone make the chocolate chip cookie even better? This is how! White Chocolate Macadamia: Another macadamia nut favorite. This time complemented with the whole chocolate; though I think I prefer the regular chocolate chips.

Fresh and tasty cookies! We ordered a half dozen cookies for around $20 and got a seventh cookie for free. Since it was our first time, the worker gave us a free coconut macadamia cookie to try which was so nice of them! We got the California killer cookie with and without nuts, white chocolate macadamia, chocolate chip, chocolate chip macadamia and oatmeal raisin. The cookies were fresh, moist and chewy on the inside and slightly crispy on the edges. They were also loaded with toppings and were not overly sweet which is perfect for me. My fav was the signature California killer cookie without nuts. I continued to eat some a few days after purchasing and they were still good and moist!

Yummy fresh cookies! The interior gives cozy homemade vibes. Since it was our first time, the worker gave us a sample of their coconut macadamia cookie which was so sweet of them! Ordered a half dozen for $20.50 and got a seventh cookie for free. We got the California Killer with and without nuts, White Chocolate Macadamia, Oatmeal Raisin, Chocolate Chip, and Chocolate Chip Macadamia. They're soft and chewy on the inside and have a slight crisp on the edges which is the best of both worlds! My favorite is their signature California killer cookie, just the right amount of sweetness.

    Flies on their cookies
    Nick S.

While the cookies are good, they're definitely not good enough for me to buy them with flies landing on top. The store keeps its doors wide open, and the cookies sit out uncovered with nothing to prevent bugs from getting on them. It completely ruined the experience for me. I won't be back until they figure out better food safety and hygiene.

Amazing service and nice and welcoming. I really appreciate the workers time and effort to explain the cookies to me. They're sooooo yummy and fresh ingredients too. Always a happy time coming into this place with a mom and pop shop vibe too. I cant wait to come back
