SOLID! My wife asked me if I wanted anything from Monarch Poke. I looked it up and thought .... wow I never had Miso braised pork belly. Might as well try! The food suffered a little from take out as you can see, but the taste was good. The miso flavor was really mild and the sauce was very runny. The salad was good and they gave a tasty dressing. The rice was good quality and the pork belly was delicious. This is a solid plate of food. Glad this place is around. Another good choice when I am hungry!
I was craving Poke for lunch and found Monarch Poke nearby. It got good reviews, and the picture of the food looked awesome. I got the Poke bowl of Half Spicy Ahi and Half Furikake Salmon ($20.00), Dirty Rice, aka garlic Rice ($1.00), and Everything topping except Green Onion ($0.00). Bad: - They have a credit card fee of 3%. - Staff at the cashier needed more time for training because she made some minor mistakes. (I know working for the first time is nervous!) - It's a little pricey for the bowl of poke. Good: - They have plenty of space for parking. - The food was delicious! I loved the combination of the garlic rice, fresh poke, and the sauce! Be careful, though, as spicy ahi can be spicy for some. - Friendly staff and Spotless shop. Conclusion: I found another good poke shop nearby that I will return! There are various options for pupus, deserts, and more!
What a find!! Haven't been to Pearl Kai shopping center in awhile, so checked online for what was new. Nice little place. Ample seating if you want to dine in and very clean! Service was great, very friendly! I ordered the miso braised pork belly...YUMMY!! This was my first time here, and will I definitely be back to try more. Everything on their menu looks so good!
First time here and I was amazed by all the options of poke! Even just by looking, they all look tasty and fresh. I only tried the spicy ahi though but will come back eventually to try the rest. The spicy ahi was one of the spicier ones. Got it with garlic soaked rice which was a good combo with ahi. The staff were friendly and helpful with explaining the menu items. Very clean interior and it felt cozy to sit in. One of the better poke place in my opinion!
Tried this place for the first time last week based on other good reviews, and honestly was very impressed! Located conveniently in Pearl Kai shopping center with a large parking lot. Can get busy at times though. They have about 5 tables inside with seating. EDIT: I went on a Friday (April 4th), around noon and most tables were open as people did takeout but I can imagine it gets busy during weekday lunch hours. The girl working at the front was super helpful and explained the menu, and also offered samples of each poke (except pipkaula). Ended up getting the garlic chicken plate with mac salad, and a quarter lb of the spicy ahi poke. I did take out and had to run an errand before I got home to eat it, but even after 20 minutes or so it was still good! Not as crispy as it probably was fresh off the stove but seasoned well and pieces were just perfectly breaded. The dirty rice was a good side option. Just the lightest touch of garlic and not too overpowering. Similar to another breakfast spot also in Aiea... Side spicy ahi was also good, a bit spicier than other poke places but flavored well. Fish was chunky and tasted fresh. Will definitely be back to try the other poke bowls and plates! Also want to try the crab dip and the namasu!
After visited Pearl Harbor, we came here for a super late lunch/ early dinner. The cashier is very friendly and helpful and made suggestions for us. We ended up ordered two poke bowls and ube cheesecake. The decors are chic and very comfy. We got our poke bowls and it was so yummy. The rice, the fish and everything just match so well and the seasoning was just right. Ube cheesecake is so good and yummy.
Monarch poke is a locally owned poke shop located at the Pearl Kai Shopping Center. My friend and I have been wanting to check this place out, but the last time we came, they were closed for cleaning/renovations. Parking available at the strip mall and bathroom located within their establishment behind their kitchen Service & Ambience: The owner worked the register the day we went and was super sweet. We told her it was our first time there, and she offered to give us samples of the poke before ordering. We sampled the inamona as it's their specialty. She also told us that all their pokes are made fresh daily from auction block tuna. It is not the largest place, ~5 tables (4-6 seats each) decorated with beautiful murals. We did feel a bit rushed to finish as it got busy and a lot of the other guests also wanted to sit down. T Price: $$. Poke bowls and poke by weight are charged at market price for the day. On the day we went, it was ~$18-19 for a half pound, which is pretty standard pricing for fresh poke lately (getting more expensive lately) Food: My friend opted for Poke Nachos with 1/2 pound inamona, and I opted for a quarter pound of crispy garlic chili oil and a quarter pound of inamona The Inamona is made with green onions, onions, limu, and light sauce that doesn't overpower the taste of the fresh ahi. It was highly recommended by the owner and another family dining in the shop, and it did not disappoint. The Crispy garlic chili oil poke, however, was a bit too oily, and the crispy toppings became a bit soggy. It was still delicious with ample garlic and mildy spicy. I personally would have also liked to be a bit spicier. Overall, I'd recommended stopping in for some fresh poke
We were in the area and wanted to try Monarch Poke. It's in a large plaza with a lot of different businesses all sharing the parking lot. No issue with parking. The place was upbeat, and simply decorated. Colorful illustrations of sea creatures. One restroom in the back by the kitchen. The owner was super nice and friendly! They have a good variety of bowls, etc. I just stopped in to get some Poke by the pound. Inamona Poke - flavorful and classic, letting the fish alone shine. Furikake Salmon - simple, light flavor of the furikake. Congratulations on 2+years of business. We wish you continued success.
Great fresh poke to choose from! The service was nice and they have a seating area where you can enjoy your food right away. I really liked my poke nachos since they use wonton chips and have chunks of avocado. The poke itself was really fresh and had great flavor. I got to choose two flavors of poke which is also nice. I definitely will come back!

Located in Pearl Kai Shopping Center (next to Baskin Robbins), you don't want to miss Monarch Poke. While the prices are a bit steep, you get what you pay for...QUALITY. Always fresh when you order from here. Their menu shows MP (Market Price) so it's not an exact price, but on the day I went, the poke bowl was $16 and half order of poke nachos was $18. My boyfriend and I ordered the Ahi Poke Nachos with spicy ahi, as well as a poke bowl with crispy garlic chili oil and wasabi poke. Nachos come with fried wonton chips topped with tomatoes, avocado, and drizzled with sriracha aioli and unagi sauce. Poke bowls come with TWO choices of poke on top of rice (white rice, brown rice or dirty rice) and can be topped with furikake, crispy garlic, green onion, unagi sauce and Pele's aioli. Of the three poke choices that we had, the crispy garlic chili oil poke stood out the most to me. It's different from what you'd see at other poke places and something I'd come back here for in the future. It does have quite a kick to it (even more than the wasabi poke or spicy ahi poke) as you eat it more and more, but not so much that it's overpowering the flavor of it all. So while I mentioned that it can be pricey here, you do get a lot of food. My eyes popped out when I saw the HALF order of poke nachos come out. It was HUGE! My boyfriend and I couldn't finish the poke bowl and poke nachos, so we had leftovers to take home. While it doesn't work the greatest as leftovers, it was still tasty. Customer service is also really nice here. They ask if it's your first time and if it is, they give you an overview of the menu to help you decide what to order. You can sample the different types of poke before committing to one. One of the workers recommended that I sample the crispy garlic chili oil poke before deciding if it was the one I wanted to get because she said it was quite spicy. I want to take this time to say this ahi poke nachos was delicious!! They don't use regular tortilla chips but wonton chips. Delicious. The ahi was fresh and texture was just perfect. You can also try a sample if you like if you're unsure. The inside of the location was nice and small. It felt nice. Customer service was great. We were greeted by almost every employee in there lol and made you felt welcomed. The next time I'm going to Hawaii I'm definitely going to stop by here again! Thanks again! Mahalo! Good ingredients. Imaginative creativity. Sloppy execution. I should have known as soon as I visited website: -taco poke? -capitalization inconsistencies (pet peeve of mine). -online ordering link that asks you to choose a location in Boston, LA, or Omaha? As it relates to the food, the poke (basic ahi shoyu), well seasoned, sweet round onion, good hit of limu but no consistency in the cut of the fish. Some cubes were stuck together, other pieces tiny orts. For $1.70/oz, I expect more attention to detail. A mahi mahi sandwich has a great combination of flavors from pickled green mango to a calamansi aioli but because they chose to spread the aioli on the bun rather than protect the bun and spread it on the cooked fish and top it with the veg, turned the bun to mush. The miso braised pork belly, great job with the marinating and braising and searing but chunks of ginger in the sauce made from the sauce (cooked marinade) taste bitter. It is the reason pieces of ginger are NOT used in miso butterfish. Finally the side salad. Great mix of up end greens but the dressing is served at room temp. Warm salad? As mentioned, online ordering does not work. Phone in orders to avoid a wait. Friendly counter service. Prices are in line based on the ingredients used but you're left feeling like value for money is not there. read more

This is a must try place. It's conveniently located in Pearl Kai shopping center. The service was super friendly and you can sample the poke if you're unsure of what to get. I got the half order of the poke nachos and it was big. I can't imagine eating the full size. The wonton chips were nice and crispy, they gave a good amount of avocado (yes!), and the poke itself was so good. I also took home and tried the pineapple upside down cake. The lady there told me to heat it up just a little and she was right. The cake was so good - the right combination of dense and moist. read more

During a late November 2022 local morning newscast that featured the newly opened Monarch Poke in 'Aiea's Pearl Kai Shopping, I quickly bookmarked this business. What piqued my appetite was their array of poke from fish fresh caught from the daily local fish market and local foods Poke Nachos, Garlic Chicken, Bulgogi Baos, and Signature Sunny's Shrimp that are enhanced by classic French cooking techniques. However, we're "townies" and rarely make our way out past the Downtown neighborhood, but we happened to connect with fellow Elite Tanyce W when she recommended this business. I remembered reading her Yelp review and others' stellar reviews and didn't hesitate to agree to meet for lunch here. Monarch Poke is located in the Pearl Kai Shopping Center with the bonus of plentiful free parking facing or nearby the business. Just be aware that the stall spaces are narrower or more compact in the main lot, whereas the stalls are wider along the storefronts. Entering the business, we were cheerfully greeted by the cashier, who Tanyce introduced us to as Kris. She gave us flavor descriptions of their fresh poke varieties and shared her thoughts about her favorite entrée plates as our stomachs growled. Just then, we met chef/owner Adam Gilbert who brought his classic culinary and local community experiences from his former Kapolei restaurant, Plantation Tavern, to 'Aiea. Chef/owner Gilbert also brought his wife, Sunny, and former staff to Monarch Poke so the food and service is consistent. IMHO, Monarch Poke is a good, slightly upscale and new fit into this neighborhood. Thanks to chef Gilbert for taking a few minutes from his busy schedule to meet us, provide his brief culinary background and descriptions of the poke varieties. There aren't any prices posted for the poke or fish entrées because chef Gilbert gets his fish from Honolulu's daily fish auction. Each poke variety is sold by weight, poke bowls and salads, the seared mahi mahi and fried salmon with belly are sold at MARKET PRICE. FOOD: - Ahi Poke Nacho: Tanyce ordered an HALF order of this local appetizer. The lunchbox was generously filled with crisp fried wonton chips and topped with fresh ahi poke, scallions, avocado and tomatoes. There was a drizzle of sriracha sauce and unagi sauce (eel sauce or Unagi no Tare). The spicy ahi poke had a good chili kick to it and the fresh ahi's buttery and silky texture was a great contrast/combination with the crispy chips. - Poke Bowls: we chose white rice as the base of our poke bowls but was given the choices of white, brown or "dirty" (garlic) rice. Both of us had our eyes set on theinamona ahi poke that is a more traditional or authentic Hawaiian flavor profile. The 'inamona, which is a seasoning made of roasted crushed kukui nuts and Hawaiian salt, gave the ahi tuna cubes a distinctive nutty and salty flavor while allowing the palate to fully enjoy the fish's freshness and texture. To complement the traditional flavors of the 'inamona ahi poke, my husband chose a scoop of spicy ahi poke and I chose California ahi poke. We enjoyed both the authentic and modern poke flavor profiles. Speaking of modern flavor profiles, we requested chopped scallions (green onions) and a sprinkle of furikake as toppings. We're looking forward to returning to Monarch Poke to experience more of their poke bowls or hot entrées such as the Garlic Chicken, Miso Braised Pork Belly and Hawaiian Plate (lau lau, lomi salmon, kālua pig, poi and chili pepper water). read more
I only had their Tofu Poke with the Dirty Rice. And I will do it again when I go back. It was so good. The day I went I actually got the last serving of the Tofu Poke at 4:45 pm. While I was there someone came in and was bummed to find out they were sold out. They walked out empty handed. Yes, it's that good. The prep is unique from the usual tofu poke. And the dirty rice...broke da mouth. Parents shared a poke bowl with a side of namasu - 2 choices with plain rice followed up by an upside down pineapple cake. They enjoyed it all. I was informed that this place/chef was formerly in Kapolei prior to covid. Their ribs & the braised pork also sounded interesting. I bet it's good. Fresh delicious ahi! I got half shoyu half spicy and it was amazing, one of the best shoyu poke I have ever tried so sweet and flavorful also the spicy was great as well but it is no joke spicy so if you can't handle the heat don't get it! read more
Came to Monarch Poke for lunch today because I like my fish like I like my sex: on a bed of garlic fried rice. First time having poke. I ordered the inamona poke with the shoyu poke on the "dirty" garlic fried rice. The shoyu poke was pretty good but the inamona poke was absolutely phenomenal. Sesame oil and garlic is always a match made in heaven. The portion size they provided was also reealllyyy good. Lots of food for a good price. Lastly, I gotta commend the staff for being friendly and helpful. I came with my parents and they had a vegetarian option (tofu) for my vegetarian dad. My mom doesn't like fish or Asian food, so the staff helped us find a dish she might like (the garlic chicken). She's super picky so she didn't finish it, but I tried it and it was delicious. 10/10 lunch would recommend. read more
I often search for places that have poke nachos when I'm in Honolulu because I have yet to find a place that makes it in Orange County (where I spend the other half of my time). I came across Monarch Poke when searching for said poke nachos on my Yelp app, and one look at the photos had me jumping in my car and driving 20 miles to get it! They're located in Aiea right off of Kam Hwy in the shopping plaza across from Pearlridge. They're right next to a place called "Build Your Own Ramen", in case you need a landmark. Plenty of parking is available in the shared lot. It's a casual place with several tables inside. When I arrived, I was greeted by the friendliest employee behind the cash register. I already knew what I wanted (poke nachos) and was stoked to learn that they have 2 sizes - mini and regular. I'm always down for the mini so I can save room for my other "square" meals of the day. The mini poke nachos will set you back $18. It's a hefty price for a mini, but well worth it, IMO. The original comes with fresh ahi poke topped with tomato and avocado over fried wonton chips and drizzled with sriracha aioli & unagi sauce. I mean seriously, how could you go wrong? The ahi was super fresh and all of the ingredients mixed with the poke was a major flavor bomb! They're obviously known for their poke (hence the name), but they also have a diverse range of plate lunches including garlic shrimp, fried salmon & ahi belly, garlic chicken, pork ribs, Hawaiian plate... you get the drift. Hole in the wall shop with a talented chef! As much as I'm legit to shrimp, I'll bust out my epi pen any day! That sunnys shrimp plate - omg the flavors are amazing. Legit dump ur rice in the sauce and lick ur plate I always get bummed when people serve banana style lumpia because I'm allergic to banana but these sweet potato lumpia definitely hit the spot! read more

First time trying this new poke place! But it's more than just Poke! We were greeted by the friendly cashier, Kris who was very helpful. She gave us samples of Wasabi Poke upon request. It was super fresh and tasty! We also met the owners Adam and Sonny and found out they are the same owners from Plantation Tavern in Kapolei! WOW! That was one of our fave places for Poke Nachos up until they closed and we were so bummed.... They also had a great Steamed Fish with Lupcheong... Hope they bring it back as a special! lol How Ironic! Was just thinking the other day... I hope they reopen in Aiea! lol YAY! Manifest! Now they have a banging New Menu including their signature Poke Nachos! So of course we ordered that - Full Size you can do half n half shoyu poke and spicy ahi poke or your 2 poke choices. Todays MP was $29 but so worth it! We also ordered the Seared Mahi Mahi with pickled mango and Calamansi aioli on Kaiser bun with shoe-string fries. YUM! This is the Best Mahi I've had! Thick cut and seared perfectly! Sliced Pickled Mango adds a nice flare to it! Their ingredients are fresh and really great quality! This place is A must-try! Menu is so unique and diverse! We'll be back to try the Katsu Sando $15, Bulgogi Beef Sandwich $17, Fried Salmon with Belly (MP), Garlic Shrimp $21, Sunny's Shrimp $25, Ahi Belly Ginisang (MP) Bagaoong Fried Rice $14, Tamarind Glazed Pork Ribs $19 Sounds so good right?! Saw the great reviews and decided to give Monarch Poke a try. I was not disappointed! First off, the service is great! The staff are all extremely friendly. Like others have said, I would come back based on the service alone. The food is awesome as well. We got poke bowls, poke nachos, Katsu sando, pineapple upside down cake, and the ube cheesecake. Everything was delicious! The poke was seasoned well and the ahi was fresh, good sized chunks. The Katsu sando was tender, juicy and flavorful! For the desserts, the ube cheesecake was a little too sweet for my liking (my grandma liked it) but the pineapple upside down cake was good! The location is easy to find inside Pearl Kai Shopping Center (right next to Build Your Own Ramen). The ambiance of the restaurant is laid back with about 7 tables. They do get busy around lunch time but totally worth it! I'll be back! read more
I saw that there was a new place to eat in Pearl Kai shopping center and so I thought why not. I go in and I'm automatically greeted by the friendly coworkers! It was a chill atmosphere. I quickly look at the menu and realize that I may have a couple questions and Kris picked up on that and asked me if I had questions. I asked her about the toppings and she told me there was no extra charge. I ordered my boyfriend and I the spicy ahi and California ahi with all the toppings and also a half order of the ahi poke nachos. While I waited for my food, the workers and I chatted about how I tried to come in on a Sunday and they said they were closed on that day and that I was glad I was finally getting to try it. They told me they had ube cheesecake but was in the middle of making it. Once I got home, I realized I was missing the unagi sauce and crispy garlic toppings. The bowl was on the smaller side, but the ahi poke nachos made up for it. The wonton chips were good and weren't stale. The quality for the price was underwhelming. It's okay though because I'll definitely be back because of how nice the workers were and the service they provided. read more

Super fresh and yum! It's in our way to the Pearl Harbor tour, we ordered a small wasabi ahi poke with garlic rice, this is the best poke we've ever had, very flavorful and seasoned, I'll highly recommend to go with sesame oil flavored fish to better taste the flavor both sides! The ahi poke nacho we ordered half size (thank god it was HUGE!) and delicious, we looked at it and thought we're not able to finish it, guess what! We did clean up both dishes no kidding! The source they put in the nacho sauce is a bit sweet goes well with the hearty freshly fried chips and spicy ahi! 10/10! Btw I wasn't a nacho person at all and I wish I could have eaten this everyday in California! read more
Wow, what an incredible find. We were going to eat at a nearby restaurant but it was too busy. I looked up and saw the sign that said it was open, so we decided to give it a try. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and patient. She gave us her recommendations and the rundown of the menu. We ordered the Nacho Poke regular size with 2 different choices of poke. We had spicy ahi and shoyu poke. Both were served fresh and chilled at the perfect temperature. It went well with the nachos. Great taste and very flavorful. We also ordered the Mahimahi Sandwich. It was topped with thinly sliced pickled mango and a good amount of shoe string french fries. The Mahimahi was grilled perfectly with a nice firm and tender texture. It was very flavorful. We got to meet the owners, Adam, and his wife Sonny with their teen son. They informed us that their former restaurant that they used to own was located in Kapolei Shopping Center under the name, Plantation Tavern. Omg! We loved that place. We used to frequent there a lot. So now they're here in Pearl Kai Shopping Center. Yes! Closer to home, lol. We had a great experience and a great surprise. We will be back soon. read more

Found out about this place on Instagram and it looked promising. There was a bit of a line when I got there, but it moved quickly. Ordered the Fried salmon belly and spicy ahi poke. The Fried salmon good and gave a decent amount of fish for the price. The spicy ahi poke was not super spicy and did not have a strong flavor. It was a light coating which highlighted the flavor of the ahi, which was good since it was fresh ahi. Only a few small things - It took a while to get the Fried salmon belly. Those with only poke orders got in and out quickly. I asked for green onion, furikake, and the unagi sauce, but when I checked once I got home, I noticed I only got green onion on my poke. Overall, a little pricey, but the fish is good quality. Definitely try at least once to see if it's for you or not. Good amount of parking, but may have to park far if it's during peak hours. read more
Eat here. Eat here everyday that you can. Go here and order a seafood something and eat it. Enjoy it with a side of Lilikoi Aloha Maid juice beverage. Basically, what I'm saying is that I recommend you visit here, give them your money, and put what they give you in exchange for money into your alimentary canal, preferably via your mouth or similar ingestion apparatus. I had the mahi mahi sandwich which was perfectly seared and matched with bun and fresh veg ingredients and aioli. My husband devoured the amazing and extremely fresh spicy poke (two scoops) with rice. Also, the person working behind the counter was so sweet, cheerful, and obviously enjoyed sharing Monarch with folks, it added an extra special element in an already great food experience! read more
Monarch Poke is located in the Pearl Kai shopping center across of Pearlridge. I decided to give them a try because I saw they are fairly new & I was in the area. The staff is super nice & friendly and they are pretty fast at getting your order ready especially if it's just a poke bowl. I ordered a poke bowl with spicy ahi & shoyu ahi with brown rice. It comes with a bunch of free toppings if you choose to add it on. I also got a 1/4 lb. of cucumber kimchee. The shoyu ahi was my favorite of the two. But they didn't give too much brown rice on the bottom and it was pretty dry & flakey. The cucumber kimchee was actually my favorite thing I got. Nice & crunchy and very spicy just the way I like it! There were no prices of how much the poke bowls were and I didn't want to be cheap and ask so I just went with it. Luckily it was about $15 which is how much fresh fish poke bowls usually are nowadays. It says sold by weight but it would be nice to have one set price in the bowls assuming that they're always giving the same amount of poke in each bowl. Otherwise, nice new place. I like the set up in there with a big readable menu board. There are a few tables that you can dine in. And if I go back, I would try their poke nachos which looked really good & generous amount! read more

I was looking for a poke place to stop at on my drive home and Tanioka's was closed. Monarch Poke is conveniently located in the little shopping area with Kurukuru across from Pearlridge mall, so it was an easy stop (and even on the right side of the road) for me. The yelp reviews are spectacular, so I think my expectations were high. When I walked in, there was only one other couple sitting at a table. There are plenty of tables and the eating area is clean and bright. They even have some artwork for sale on the walls and some interesting stickers stuck to a door. The lady working the cash register was very friendly. She asked if I had ever been there before and I said no. She then went over the entire menu with me. I didn't have the heart to tell her I was only interested in getting a spicy ahi bowl. It was good info though. In the future, if I stop by here again, I would try one of the salads or sandwiches. She explained to me that every poke bowl comes with white, brown or garlic fried rice. Garlic fried rice sounds delicious, but not when I have meetings to go to in the afternoons and maybe not with poke... The poke bowl was $17 and it was average size. She explained that the fish is fresh and it tasted decent. I was more concerned about the scorching hot rice making my poke warm. I have a weird thing about warm poke and like my rice on the cooler side. The sauces were interesting, it wasn't like other spicy ahi I have tried in the past. It wasn't bad flavor wise, I just maybe prefer other places' spicy ahi. I'd be interested in trying some of the other flavors though, but might just buy it by the pound (I think it was $24/pound). Also, by the time I got to the end of eating my poke, I had run out of poke and still had rice left over, so the rice to poke ratio is on the higher side I think. They also only offered ahi poke, mussle poke and tako poke. There were some other "sides" too like tofu poke and mac salad. But they didn't have hamachi or salmon poke. There were quite a few different canned juices to choose from, a few desserts and packages of lihing gummy bears. There is definitely something you'll like here and I'm glad I checked it out. We went to Pearl Harbor in the morning and wanted to stop for food close-by on the way out. We had a poke bowl with the spicy chili oil ahi, spicy ahi, and dirty rice. I really enjoyed the poke, it tasted so fresh. For some reason the hot rice with the cold poke was a weird taste experience but I got over it! The ube cheesecake was delicious, not too sweet. The star of the show, however, was the Poke Nachos! They were DELICIOUS. We did half spicy chili oil ahi and half Inamona Ahi Poke. I really enjoyed the inamona and the toppings of the nachos paired very well. It was some of the best poke we had on the island. Really big pieces with lots of flavor. Food is so ono! I'm wanting to try the shoyu poke next time. The spicy was VERY spicy to me, I'm so used to eating Foodland "spicy" poke. This one was so delicious and lit my mouth on fire...either way I was scarfing it down because the flavor. Service is quick and they are very friendly. So good we went back the same week! Clean inside, friendly staff, great a/c, food's ono! Very limited seating, but enough for the folks who want to sit down to eat. Located in Pearl Kai, one little treasure for ahi nachos or garlic chicken and poke, across the street from Pearl Ridge. Plenty of competition for grinds, but one we have returned to more than once in the same month. The menu is limited also, but plenty of combinations to make with the existing options. There is also a selection of local artwork on the wall which can be purchased, as well as logo swag near the cashier. The staff is fun to talk to when they're not too busy. There's plenty of parking, especially during non-peak hours. The bathroom is back past the kitchen. We look forward to returning here soon! read more

Monarch Poke has been on my list to try and when I finally got the chance to come in, I was very impressed. We got poke bowls and everything tasted good. The fish was so fresh that we finished our bowls so quickly. It took a while for our food to be ready but also appreciated they took their time as my guess is that everything is made to order. I'll definitely come back again and would love to try their ahi katsu next time! read more

Finally got to try this place. Inside is spacious and clean. They have tables and benches along a wall. All kinds of things in their decor. They sell T's, paintings, few other items. Daughter got their spicy poke bowl with white rice. She ordered garlic chips but didn't get it. Ended up with green onions instead. She said it was ok. They don't make their bowls with sushi rice, which she prefers. Hubs ordered the shoyu poke bowl with white rice and wasabi onion poke and furijake. He liked it. I ordered the bulgogi beef sandwich. The buns are a little different from standard Chinese buns, they are a little thinner and firmer textured. It has bulgogi and cucumber kimchee. Not too spicy, a tad salty. Your have a choice of Mac or roused salad or fries. I opted for the fries and I'm glad I did. They were very thin and very crispy, with salt and finely ground black pepper. While I liked the bulgogi buns, I loved the fries! Poke bowls seemed slightly overpriced. Bulgogi sandwich seemed ok. Want to try their kalua pork nachos, katsu sando, and lobster poke. If hubs wants to come back, will try one of them. read more
First time trying this spot. We got a poke bowl and a 1/2 order of the nachos. Both were really good. We got the dirty rice in the bowl and the 1/2 order of nachos was a big serving. Thank you to Zay who rang us up. She said the full was huge and would serve 5 people, which I don't doubt (lol). Super glad we tried this place. The ahi was so good, super fresh. First time at Monarch Poke on 6/26/23 and we are still talking about the food! When we arrived they announced that they don't have any poke bc they haven't gotten the fish yet. So we went ahead and ordered plate lunch. We ordered the garlic shrimp which was onolicious! One of the best tasting garlic sauce on the island. Tako poke was also good. Katsu sando was tasty and the garlic chicken was ono!!! Service was awesome with friendly staff and aloha spirit everywhere! Love that! So glad we stayed long enough for the fish to arrive bc the. We got yo taste the ono poke nachos! We tried the spicy ahi poke which had a nice kick to it. We loved the fried wontons and spicy mayo on top. The place was clean, new and great vibes. They have plenty parking available. If you love ono grindz and fresh poke, definitely try Monarch Poke. You will thank me! read more
