Dined here with a party of ten. The staff is very friendly and the resturaunt is clean and nicely decorated. Our dinner was served family style. First two large bowls of ceaser saled and a house saled came out. Followed by 5 Bowles of penna a la vodka, baked ziti, pasta with marinara sauce, meat balls and sausage came out. Then individule entrees were served. Again, portions were generous. I had the shrimp scampi and my wife had the muscles marinara...both delicious. Not only is this brand-new spot immaculate but it has the best pizza and Italian food on Long Island. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by their friendly staff and you can either grab a quick slice to go, sit at the bar, take your pizza outside, or have a nice dinner in their dining room. The BBQ chicken pizza is a must-have but you really can't go wrong with any of the slices/rolls they offer. The dinner options are fantastic and the portions are large but perfect in my opinion. You have to try the pizza here! Something about the sauce that gives it a unique and delicious flavor. The crust is thin, crispy and light which is hard to find on Long Island. They did a beautiful job with the decor, it's clean, quaint and inviting. We also tried a few other dishes to include the meatballs and linguini....all delicious. The owner was very friendly and checked on us multiple times, and was great with our kids, which made for a very enjoyable evening with the family. went tonight with my family before the light show I was excited for the novelty. I was pretty disappointed when I walked in and learned there was only bar seating and high tops. Wasn't fun or enjoyable with my three year old son. I had to eat and stand. The dining room was empty and three waitresses were standing around. The counter employees weren't too friendly. Walked in and ordered a chicken cutlets parmigiana hero and a Mo'lisa salad with chicken, after 30 minute I inquired and said the hero was done they were just waiting on the salad. After 45 minutes the order came out and the counter person checked the order, upon arrival to my home I had ice cold and flavor less chicken cutlet parmigiana and a Caesar salad with no chicken. Grabbed a couple of slices here for lunch with my friends. The service could be better. As we walked in, there was a worker behind the counter eating his lunch, and two other guys joking around with each other, one of whom clearly noticed us but kept on joking around with his co-worker. So, three employees behind the counter, no other customers besides us and we had to ask to be served. *COVID ALERT * I was really looking forward to enjoying a nice meal. The food was delicious! I have been here many times and wanted to support one of my favorite restaurants. We sat outside which was very nice. It felt like a sense of normalcy. I was very disappointed at the lack of sanitation of the dining tables or chairs. I saw people sit, eat their meals,get up, tables were cleared of plates, but never sanitized or wiped down before the next person sat with their pizza or food.. This happened multiple times. I went inside after my meal to say something to someone. At that time someone came out and wiped all the tables with the same rag. I told him I was surprised and disappointed. He sarcastically said to me " thanks for the positive feedback, I told him that was not a very good answer. He said we're doing the best we can" it was not at all busy there was plenty of time for someone to properly sanitize the tables. I don't know if I was more disappointed in his response or the lack of sanitation. I have worked in the restaurant industry for more than 20 years. This did not give me a sense of confidence to go out to eat in a pandemic! read more

Dine in and out here often, and local resident in PLO. Went with a party of 8. Ordered a bunch of apps, drinks, and our mains. I changed my mind about 5 mins after my order was placed when the drinks came out I and asked to change my main course. Our apps weren't even on the table and the waiter (who was great) went and asked and said the chef said "no" he was very apologetic and recognized who absurd that answer was. I keep trying this place because it's convenient. If I didn't live on town I would never go there. I have tried most of the salads there which run $13 to $15 and aren't worth $6. I had Mo's meatballs yesterday and they came out of the freezer section at Costco I'm sure. The sauce was bland as well. Not what you would expect from an Italian joint. This one is a total disappointment for me and sadly it's not because of the Pizza. The Pizza is actually pretty amazing, we were so happy to find out that they deliver to LB so we started to frequently place orders here. The pizza was always amazing, the Buffalo Chicken and the BBQ Chicken Pizza are probably the best around but here's the problem, every time we got food delivered and I mean every time there was an issue whether it be a different price for the same food each time or the wrong pie. We constantly had to call and complain about getting the wrong thing or being charged incorrectly. Here's where is really all went downhill, one night we called and ordered a pie half Buffalo Chicken, when she tells me the price it was the price for a full specialty pie. So I say to her we're only doing half and she goes yea it doesn't matter we charge the same no matter half or whole? Now does that make sense to you? Is that good for business? Using half the product but charging the same? I said are you sure? And she said yes that is how we do it and I said okay then please cancel my order. Now this wasn't the only time I scratched my head when it came to their odd pricing, one night we ordered Baked Ziti and it was almost $20!!!!! Mind you it was bland and had zero taste. Baked Ziti at any restaurant and pizzeria I have ever gone to is $12 and under, $20 for Pasta and Cheese? I guess we should of stopped ordering after that incident. So unfortunately this isn't about the pizza they are putting out but the pricing and constant mess up's that happen here. So GF and I went to Mo'Nelisa last night after the Jones Beach Light show. This is a simple review. 4 stars for the food. Absolutely phenomenal! Best meatballs I have had in a long time. Meatballs with the Zucchini Linguine, just amazing taste and presentation of the meal. Bread was hot and fresh, sourdough with an olive oil infused dip,just exquisite. GF had the broccoli rabe chicken and pasta (white wine and butter garlic sauce) simply awesome. The prices were decent, and the service was outstanding. My only 2 complaints are the bathroom and the exterior. We were the only people last night, and the bathroom was disgusting. No reason for this. The exterior just doesnt match the interior. It is a nice restaurant, food, price atmosphere, etc just you wouldn't know from the outside. The owners are well known on Long Island, one is a TV personality. Elisa you have a hidden jewel buried in Point Lookout. just do a makeover on your facade and have someone check the bathrooms once in awhile. But we will be back, it deserves that much! read more

Once again, I tried ordering via phone for a lunch delivery. Once again, the person answering the phone was beyond obnoxious. My friend gave them the credit card info, and then wanted to add something and was told very rudely that he already ran the card and would not take the other order. He then called back and stated that he cannot deliver to our agency (located within the Malibu parking lot) because he didn't want to pay $50 to get in the gate ????? I have tried along with other co-workers to be polite and have even had a conversation with the owner when I had a previous issue with the person who answers the phone and takes orders. I guess the issue has not been resolved. If you have a horrible attitude, you should not be in public service,....period. NEVER going bac again. read more

Went he here recently with my best friend and little cousins. The decor is beautiful inside and outside. If you are just ordering pizza they give you the option of sitting at the pizza bar or sitting outside. If you are ordering entrees they offer you inside seating. The food was really good my friend and little cousin has the buffalo chicken slices and I had the egg plant. We also got an order of garlic knots. I see what the other reviewers mean by the owner only greets people he knows which is fine we were only there for the food. I would have given the the place 5 starts if it weren't for the two guys serving the pizza. He was loud, arrogant and rude. He spent a lot of time yelling at customers and making snide remarks. He just seemed like he wasn't having a good day at work and it showed. I can see frustration when it's a lot going on but it wasn't. Just had the best dinner at Mo'nelisa! Have been wanting to visit since it opened and today was my lucky day. The shrimp scampi was delicious and so was the veal parmigiana! Wish I wasn't so stuffed to have had dessert, but next time I'll try to save some room for a sweet treat. Love the family atmosphere with Mo walking around with baby in hand greeting all the tables. Elisa was so sweet and stopped by to thank each table for visiting. Very impressive to see the owners meeting and greeting patrons. Can't wait to visit again since I already picked out my next 2 meals!! read more

At the site of the former Olive Oils in Pt Lookout, we were expecting more from Mo'Nelisa. We were in the mood for a slice, but they offered a limited variety of pizza. What was the difference between the margarita, Grandma and Sicilian slices? Other than the Sicilian having a thick crust....Nothing! Same ingredients on all three. I detected a slight attitude in the counter person. As if I was doing him a favor. I've stated this over and over for other reviews and it's the hired help (waiters, waitresses, servers, etc.) that can make or break a restaurant. You can have the most delicious food, but the 'presenters' are the ones who deal with the customers. I would really like this place to succeed, but they've got to expand the menu. Closest pizza/restaurant is East Side Pizza on Park Ave and they have an extensive full menu. However, their table service is non-existent. Mo'Nelisa can be so much better. read more

Popped in twice for lunch. My buffalo chicken slice was great and the chicken parm slice was even better. My only regret is that I don't live closer, I would go there all the time. If you ever find yourself at the end of the loop parkway turn left, you won't regret it. read more
