The food is usually okay here, but I had the worst experience tonight! I filled my bowl as usual, and then filled an additional bowl of different sauces/oil like I always do for maximum flavor. The chef cooking my noodles continuously sprayed water on my food then entire time it was cooking, and then end result was flavorless pile of disgusting food. The person working check-out told me they do that because their grill gets too hot. They should turn the heat down instead of watering down the customer's food because I couldn't even eat the mess they coked up for me. It's too expensive to be messing up like that... read more

My family and I went to this Mongolian BBQ last week, it was our first time there. I liked the fact that there are different pricing options. You can have 1 serving of either a small, medium or a large bowl. Then there's all-you-can-eat if you're really hungry. We are from southern California, and most of the Mongolian BBQ around here are all-you-can-eat only, some have 1 serving prices, but I don't remember seeing different prices for different bowl sizes. The veggie selection is good, the sauces selection is huge. The meat selection is good. They have beef, chicken, pork, imitation crab (if you look closely there are shrimps in there.) But I was disappointed to see that they do not have lamb. I always eat lamb at Mongolian BBQs. My family liked the flavor, the food, the selection. They would give it 4 stars, but I did not like the flavor no matter what different combination of sauces I tried. Plus, I'm really disappointed with the lack of lamb. I would give it 2 stars. So to compromise, I'm giving this restaurant 3 stars. If you're in the area, and you enjoy buffets, I think this is a good place to give it a shoot, the prices are very reasonable for a buffet restaurant too. read more

This place is pretty good. Prices are usual, portions are large, selections very good (fresh and well stocked). The food, after being cooked in front of you on the traditional round grill, is served hot in a bowl. We usually get the food served on a plate in other similar restaurants and the result of the bowl presentation is that all the sauces and seasonings sink to the bottom. That makes the food at the top of the bowl somewhat bland, and the food at the bottom very warm and much more flavorful. In the future, I would start eating from the bottom of the bowl for the best result. Our meal was served with a small bowl of rice and excellent service. Recommended! read more

They have great quality service that is hard to beat. The food is absolutely amazing. I have only come here twice, but I suggest getting a medium bowl and putting a lot of stuff in it. They wont bitch at you for piling it high and deep. Mongolian BBQ is like the Subway of Mongolian food. I mean you can create whatever, I mean whatever you want. This is where I go when I want great food, and leftovers for the next two meals. The servers and chefs are very friendly. I usually find a piece of someone else's meal in my own. Not a big deal though. Great place to go on a date. read more

This place is rock-steady. I was a regular eater at this place in 2005. It was great at that time. I went back in 2008 and it was the same. The only complaints I had was the decor but who in their right mind goes to an asian restaurant for the decor and ambiance anyway!! I went back in 2010 on my way back from Denver to Seattle and this place has improved. Not in the food since IMO the food was perfect but the owners have updated the interiors for the better. Went here for the first time with my boyfriend, and we both enjoyed it. Everything was clean and orderly. All of the food items were fresh, and I could not stop scooping up those veggies! The chef gave us tips on what flavor of sauces to add, and our waitress was very pleasant and considerate. My boyfriend finished eating before me, so our waitress came to box up his leftovers. She offered to box mine up since she was there with the idea of continuing to eat out of the box, so we could continue our conversation without being interrupted again by the staff - so simple, but so brilliant! I really can't think of a single complaint other than we felt a little rushed toward the end. I'm pretty sure my fortune said something about going back there to eat again... :) read more

This was by far the worst Mongolian BBQ I've ever tasted. I know Mongolian BBQ places can be hit and miss, but this was a huge MISS. The staff were very friendly, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars. We did our usual routine and added the recommended amount of sauce and oil. When we tasted our food, it was as if we hadn't added any sauce at all. My husband added soy sauce and sriracha to make his more flavorful. Mine tasted like it had been seasoned with the scrapings of a charcoal grill or cigarette butts. The noodles were rubbery and the tofu was like chewing on an eraser. Again, nice enough staff, but the food was inedible. Don't waste your time at this location. read more

Seeing crab as one of the options for this price was great. Is this the best Mongolian bbq place I have been to? No. The selection is decent. But the sauces are too watered down. Even after adding one full bowl of sauce in one bowl of my food, there wasn't much flavor and needed the sriracha. 4 stars just because this place is in Boise and what better options do you have? :). read more

A chill, laid back kind of dive. Quick process. The longest amount of time was spent on what I wanted in my bowl... and how to mix the sauces. The nice thing is having a chart available with suggested mixes. It's a reasonable price for an all-you-can-eat sorta thing. Or if you're not a competitive eater, they have single bowl prices. This was my first Mongolian BBQ experience. I love the concept, and I think this place executes it very well. We were served by an incredibly friendly (and very pretty) young woman who took the time to explain the process and ensure we knew what we were doing. The prices are fair. We got the medium bowl for $10, which could easily be split into three reasonably sized meals. I will only be in Boise for about 5 months, and I will definitely be taking advantage of this awesome little place while I'm here! read more

I have eaten in a lot of restaurants but never one like this place. I really like the idea of deciding what you want in your dish, such as more veggies or a certain mix of veggies. Then it is kinda cool to have the dish quickly cooked as you watch on the huge stir-fry flat. This was my first time to eat here, but I can see myself as a regular. This place is a lot of fun at a reasonable price for the amount of food you can eat. Actually, some people eat more food than the bowl could possibly hold. read more
