Came across this place walking down the street and their wine collection is truly amazing. Apparently you could bring your own food to enjoy with the wine which is such a nice touch. You can either order by glass or order a bottle for groups. They also have green wines which is not easy to find around here. They don't "serve" you, you just need to go order at the front and grab any available table. I'm not really into wine but a must visit for those who know their wine.

Very cool and hip spot. They feature world wines which is a nice break from ubiquitous California reds. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet. Nice place to try unique wine, study, read or catch up with friends.

I walked in the wine shop and had a glass of enfield 2023 Club Catalanes. A wonderful blend of Grenche, Cinsault, and Carignan. Light with lots of fruit forward and a tangy finish. I was greeted with a smile as a demonstration of tasting of wines was taking place with a vender. The shop is highly decorated around wine and other items which makes the wine tasting cozy.

Been coming here for a while now, place is amazing. Friends groups, date night or solo wine chilling sessions are all great here. Dog friendly, you can bring your own food, wine selection is pret amazing and fun. The vibes are always spotless, staff is friendly and amazingly helpful. Every single time is great. Highly recommend. Also have been to multiple of their events and pop ups and they're always so much fun. Anyways, thought today I like this place so much I had to leave a review finally.

We came here to get a wedding gift for a friend and asked for some assistance. The sommelier at the register said he would be with us in a second. He seemed to maybe try to help us but also didn't seem very engaged at all. Some attitude and lack of enthusiasm. We mentioned that the wine was for a wedding gift and was requested to have meaning. He basically shut that down saying that meaning is subjective to everyone, vs giving a suggestion on some kind of Love Story wine. All the wines he suggested we asked if he tried and he said absolutely not. We ended up buying the most expensive wine we could see at 200$ and left. If we had known there were other wine shops around the corner, we would have gone somewhere else .

Love this little place in Little Italy! Came here on a surprise vacation from Pack Up & Go and they purchased tickets for to the Vino Vino Little Italy wine tour from So Diego Tours. We met our guide here to start our tour and he was very nice. There were 8 people in our group. We had 3 different wines - and these were not tasting pours (and there was no spit bucket)! Be prepared to drink on this tour! Vino Carta is a cute little shop with great service and knowledgeable staff. I even heard they have green wine?? I wish we'd been able to try that! There is good seating inside and outside and it's close to the water. Would definitely come back the next time I'm in SD.

I ordered from a food truck that was parked in front of this wine shop, so we decided to check out their wine selections. After some browsing, my friend bought a bottle of the Tout Terriblement Maceration, which has a pink color to it. I only like sweet wines, so this was too dry for me. There is a nice little patio out front to enjoy your wines and I saw a dog that looks like the owners' pet inside the store, so it might be pet friendly as well.

Vino Carta exceeded my expectations for a wine bar. The cozy ambiance and knowledgeable staff created a welcoming atmosphere. The wine selection was impressive, featuring a diverse range of varietals, and the recommended pairings were spot-on. The attention to detail in both the decor and service made for a delightful evening. I highly recommend Vino Carta for any wine enthusiast looking for a memorable experience. The outside patio is splendid with a nice view of arriving planes.

I specifically came to Vino Carta because they had a collar with Tuetano Taqueria (11/20/20) Parking - Street parking in Little Italy is always a pain, but is possible. I found parking closely. Wait Time - There was no wait time and we were helped quickly to find a pairing that would go well with the tacos. I like that they have a small outdoor area and provide glasses so I can relax and drink the wine and eat. They apparently have reservations for this small area, so if you're planning on going, call ahead! Wine - The wine was a good recommendation. It tasted like wine, however, the let down was the tacos. They did not live up to what I expected of Tuetano, a Michelin recommended taco stand. But again, that is for the tacos, not a reflection of Vino Carta. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Vino Carta, and would possibly return for a different food vendor.

    amazing options!

I made a reservation (just in case) because on a weekend you never know. Luckily, though, we arrived and there was plenty of available seating. We enjoyed sharing a few plates and fresh oysters on the half shell. They do not have a kids menu, which was alright with us. Our daughter, who loves a good steak at 5 years old, enjoyed their pub steak and fries and shared a Mexican Coke with her brother. For my husband and I, we enjoyed sharing their beef tartare and to finish it off, a banana split. What we found so whimsical about Finca is their presentation. My husband and I really enjoyed exploring their menu and leaving room for a return visit soon. This time around, it was just the 3 of us, to chat over some wine and apps. Had their April featured Pinot, which was amazing (had 2 glasses). First, I still really enjoy the Carruth Wine Garden. It is nice to have an outdoor space to drink wine right in the center of the city. In general there plenty of parking ,and it is dog friendly. As far as the wine, it is very good. I like some more than others. More recently, I have enjoyed the Unicorn Red Blend ( a longtime favorite) and the Syrah. I love that it is dog friendly, inside and out. My dog loves going there and she makes friends each time. A change that they made recently is that the main garden area is now child-free, which was a positive change in my options, as it had gotten a bit chaotic in the past with children not being very well supervised. The still have a family-friendly outdoor space. In the past, there was always live music when I came. I was there most recently on a Saturday evening and was disappointed that there was no music. Also, the prices have gone up ($18 per glass). Unfortunately, I found the pours to be somewhat inadequate, though it depended which staff member was pouring the wine. They do not allow for outside food, and only make certain dishes certain days of the week, which unfortunately doesn't allow for many options if you are hungry. Water is readily available inside and outside. All in all, it is a lovely place with good wine to come with friends and your 4-legged friends. It has gotten a bit pricey, and I do wish we could bring out own snacks, but I still enjoy going and am sure that I will be back.

So I turned around and stopped in. What I found was a quaint, tucked-away, almost inconspicuous spot delivering food and hospitality at a level that honestly borders on absurd for how unassuming it appears from the outside. The service was warm, polished, and intuitive without ever feeling pretentious. Hats off to both chefs, Christi and Mark for making me feel welcome. The wine pairings? Thoughtful, balanced, and exactly what you hope for from a restaurant that actually respects food. And then there's the burger. This thing reads like poetry: Ribeye and NY strip trim blend, cooked like a proper steak (medium rare, the only correct answer here), melted gouda, a soft house potato roll, all resting in a luxurious bordelaise sauce that would make a French chef nod in approval. Seriously. This is not a "burger joint burger." This is a chef-driven, butcher-minded expression of beef. Every bite tastes intentional. The bordelaise underneath ties the entire thing together with this deep, glossy richness that elevates it from comfort food into something bordering on fine dining. Places like this are why I still love discovering restaurants organically. No hype machine. No gimmicks. Just confidence, technique, restraint, and execution.
