A Tacoma/Lakewood Treasure! Monster Burger has been a staple in this area for many years and is loved by tons of locals. I have been twice with colleagues and I was impressed both times. Ambiance: You can expect it to be steadily busy during lunch time with lots of carry out orders. There are 6 tables available for dine. Food: Don't be fooled! They have way more than burgers. I've had the monster burger which was good but I also have had the monster yakisoba which was phenomenal!! I highly recommend trying their gyoza as well. I have driven past this place for a few months and always thought it would be nice to stop in, it looks exactly like the place that would have good burgers... This is the best burger shop in all of Washington. I have a chart. It's better than Frugals, Out and About, Lucky's, Lefty's, Dick's, Pick Quick, In and Out, and especially Best Burgers. It's better than Boomer's and Five Guys and Kidd Valley. I obviously haven't tried every single burger shop but after stopping here you won't need to try another one. I was stuck in an unfortunate time. Space continuum with car pros Kia down the street, and thought I need to get some food otherwise I would starve to death. I walked down to monster burgers, it is not very appealing from the outside, but my attitude was I didn't care if I had to cheat death or not, I was just hungry. They have a pretty good selection, the menu was very diverse, but I stuck with their signature burger, fries, and a drink. The food came pretty quick, and it was fantastic! Juicy burger, completely loaded up with the tomatoes and lettuce, the fries were crispy and delicious, and it completely filled me up. Fantastic food at a reasonable price, cheaper than the big burger chains, and service above and beyond. Big smiles, great food, I'm definitely coming back. Great job! read more

Prices listed are nowhere near the actual cost. Ranch Burger basket, Gyoza plates, Monster rice were all about $15+ per while their menu has -$10 prices. That being said, Fried Rice was "ok" compared to other local spots. Gyoza isn't served with Gyoza sauce or any dipping sauce which is a bit odd. White steamed rice was actually good! Lastly the Ranch Burger basket. Has nothing to do with ranch rather it's a Double Cheeseburger with fries. Which honesty compares to Herfys, Dairy Freeze and Patty's Burgers. Stopped by here for our first visit a few days ago. Call in orders only and masks required at drive thru pick up window. Cheese sticks come with ranch, no marinara and were ok. Ordered mushroom burger which was big and delicious but could have used some seasoning and order of fries which was a lot more than we were expecting. Place has gone downhill. Since you can't go inside they make you park and wait. And it is difficult to tell where to order from... The drive-through is covered in plastic and signs. Been here years ago had a burger, dont remember which one. I think it was okay...couldnt have been too great if I havent come back until now. This time around I opted to try the Mongolian Beef...but also wanted to try the short ribs--they said we could combine them for a $2 up charge. We have several people in our party--so I tried some fried mushrooms, they were good. Tried some egg roll, not that great. Portions were rather small for the price. The Monster Burger is huge, but I almost always go for the Hawiian Burger with no bun (low carb) after years of having it with the bun and fries. Amazing flavor and completely satisfying. During the pandemic, the drivethrough window is how you get your food. Order by phone and pick up at the window about 10 minutes later. No losing a bunch with the old worn interior decorating... because you are here for one of the best burgers you will ever try. I came here based on the burger reviews and it did not disappoint! My burger was the 1/3 bacon burger the sauces were amazing, the meat had a great char broiled taste. I will definitely eat here again when in the area. If I could compare it to any other local burger, I'd say it's fairly similar to Frugal's, which is one of my favorite burger places. Monster basket and I was not disappointed. Not only is this thing gargantuan, it has the flavor to match. I could smell the char broiled beef as soon as I opened the bag. The bacon was plentiful and thick. There were so many mushrooms they were falling out with each bite. The fries were cooked to perfection. Looking forward to trying the halibut and chips with the next visit. EDIT: There is no drive-through. There is a window there but it is blocked. This is also the way I feel about the condiments of my latest treat, The Monster Burger. This burger comes piled high with all the normal veggie fixing, mustard, mayo, sautéed mushrooms, pickles, crisp thick bacon, two kind of cheese, and fire grilled burger patties. While there were a ton a strong flavors in the burger, they all balanced each other out and let you get a distinct taste each one as you bit through it. A couple notes about the individual flavors... the sauces being applied onto the lettuce and not one side of the bun makes for a sloppy experience. Leave the wrapper on half the burger or come with either a bib or shout wipes. All of the meat on the burger is fantastic, the bacon is thick and flavorful, and the burger stayed juicy despite being grilled. The fries were nothing to get excited about, but good for what they were. They also come with a fry sauce that is, sadly, mostly ketchup. What you can get excited about, however, is getting a side of Kimchi with your burger. 5/5 read more
