They gave me great advice regarding checking recall info on my car and they showed me how to check if I am low on oil because I never knew how. VW owner here. My car's oil pressure was low and I was nervous about bringing it to the mechanic because sometimes people don't wanna work on European cars and it's generally more expensive. They took me in as a walk-in and were able to diagnose and fix it quick. They did an oil change, replaced my sensor switch, and also checked the rest of my car free of charge. I had maintenance done about a year ago and they didn't bs me, they told me they could tell a lot of the pieces were recently replaced and that I was overall taking good care of my car. Before they even worked on my car, they told me to check recall first to save me money. I was originally quoted for 350 but they ended up only charging me 300 for everything. Cheap, fast, honest. Go Gas used to be Mash Gas. They are very popular because their price is usually less than their competition. I always buy their cash price because it is even sometimes less than Costco which is 20-30 minutes from my home, and Go Gas is only 5 minutes away. They offer service but I haven't used it. They have self-serve air and water for your vehicle. You need to go inside and ask them to turn it on. While you are in there, you can pick up a snack, like a chocolate covered mocha ice cream bar. read more

I have always been treated fairly there. They are my first stop when my car is not running right.

The service is great and customer service is always perfect. There fair with there prices compared to dealerships and you always get a free 27 point inspection with your services that you need or worried about. I remember when I got a used car and went to them they told me things on the car that i didn't know about and it was that the radiator is leaking and it was sealed before but it didn't work out. I called these guys Friday before Christmas after the AAA guy told me I needed a new battery in my prius immediately or it wouldn't drive. They told me to drive around for 10 minutes and then come on in. They tested my battery, found it was fine, and then they noticed that I had a dented bumper, so the head guy offered to pop it back out. They worked on my bumper, fixed it up, and even had to work really hard to remove all the duct tape residue I had from where I taped it up :(. And to top it all off, no charge for any of it, "happy holidays". Given this, I will for sure trust them next time I need service done, can't wait to give them some money! read more

Called ahead to ask if my car with a flat tire could get towed to the shop, and they said that the tow truck should be able to just pump air into the tire so I could drive my car to the shop without having to tow. I have AAA, and the tow truck person said the same thing and checked that my tire would hold with more air. Arrived to the shop safely and they removed the nail, plugged and inflated the flat tire, and checked the air in the other 3 tires. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Honest people here. Came twice. The second time for a check engine light and tire rotation. They told me the former was due to a gas cap not being screwed in and the latter wasn't needed until my next oil change. Was not charged and refused a tip. We have left our cars at this friendly shop for oil change, headlight low beam replacement and tire replacement. Each time it was easy, convenient and fairly priced. This shop is great substitute for going to the dealer where I always feels bit over-sold and over charged. The shop is easy to access on the east side of the Mash, now Go!, gas station. I needed my tires replaced, an oil change, and just a general check of my car and came here. The owner was very responsive and friendly over phone/text for ordering the tires and scheduling. I'm fairly car-illiterate and he could tell, so he also explained to me common maintenance and safety practices. He seemed very trustworthy and I felt like my car was in safe hands. The only issue for me is that the shop is located at the gas station so at times its really busy and congested with cars. There isn't a lot of parking there. My Odyssey van was not starting, so I had Salim (?) check it out. A new starter was required......just as the AAA repair person had diagnosed. Dropped it off, and the next afternoon Salim called to say that a new starter installed would be $350. Such a deal! 3 hours later, that SAME day, my Honda is starting like a champ, and is as good as new.....for a 16 year-old beater. Salim is a gentleman, and seems to be genuinely an honest person in the way he conducts his auto repair business. He knows things too. The dreaded check engine light came on on my 2000 Honda CRV I just bought, and I was freaking out a bit. I need that for work! So I took it to a gas station in montclair and they said it would be an hour plus $150 to read the diagnostic code and I said pshh no thanks. Drove just a bit down the road to Montclair Auto Shop and the mechanic was super nice. he put in his computer, read the code and said "2604... meh, this is a bullshit code. it's fine, I'll reset it. If it comes back on again, you come here and we'll look. but this is no problem." and didn't charge me. He was also nice to my dog. Definitely earned my business for life! read more

I first heard of this shop from my boyfriend who had gone there several times for work ranging from small jobs to larger jobs all of which were done to the satisfaction of my boyfriend. I did not feel like I had a shop that I could trust in San Francisco so when my car faced severe problems I had it towed all the way from San Francisco to them because I knew I could trust them more than anyone I had seen in San Francisco. After my experiences here I would recommend them to everyone. Since the initial big job on my car I have brought my car here several times for oil changes and small issues that I've had with my ~15 year old car. Waheed has always been so helpful and so respectful and has kept my budget in mind when recommending options for fixes. For example when the heat in my car went out he suggested something that would cost way less than a job that would cost quite a bit of money. The point is that he gave me an option I would've otherwise not known about and I really appreciate that. The people here are honest and they do good work and that's what you need in the shop; I'm so glad I finally found that. It took me about 5 tries with other shops. Waheed runs the shop in the sense that he wants you to be a returning customer. He isn't just trying to get you to pay a lot of money and never see you again.
