This story is about to progressively get more and more worse I was looking for a place to get my nails done because I had been at the mall and it was close and convenient. But boy do I regret that decision entirely . I walked in & it was completely empty which is a bad sign for a nail salon on a Saturday afternoon so I should have known better to begin with, no one even acknowledges me when I walk in . They were too busy watching their television to notice I had even arrived . So once the man decided to look down from the TV, I tell him what I wanted. LITERALLY showed him a picture he glances at it and says okay sure So I let it be known I wanted a full set & a manicure. Not only did I not get a manicure he just starts gluing nails to my hands basically skin included . He got the crystal powder all over my skin which made it extremely painful once I left to the other shop to have it removed He then drills too much of my nails off so now they have an awkward shape that was completely unacceptable. I'm not kidding I can not believe he thought I was going to pay for those claws he attached to my fingers . I gave him 2 chances to fix it and all he did was get upset with me, add more crystal powder and aggressively drill my fingers which drew blood. So i had to stop him. Im an extremely patient person so I ended up giving him too many chances . It took me entirely too long to get my money back once I let it be known that he clearly couldn't give me what I asked for . They begin to argue with me which is extremely unacceptable and unprofessional. I left and had another shop save me . Save yourself and don't bother going here . You deserve better read more

I got eyelash extensions. And just definitely the WORST experience ever and most HORRIBLE work I've ever had.. 80$ for just clumps of glue. The lady dropped glue on my face and decided to use acetone to clean it. I would choke every time due to the smell. It happened at least 3 times. Took her over 2 hours to put in individuals where I could've gone else where to get 3 in 1 for 25$ . TOTALLY DISATISFIED! I WILL NEVER GO BACK. I just hope that real eyelashes don't fall out. Worst pedicure of my life!! I went here recently because the place I usually go to was super busy.... horrible mistake as it was definitely the worst pedicure EVER! To start off, from the time they started working on me to the time they were "ready" to paint my toes was literally less than 5 minutes!! She attempted to cut my cuticles but spent about 30 seconds on each foot- she even did one foot without even soaking it in water. I had to ask her to put lotion on my cuticles and go back over them. To make matters even worse, when she did do my cuticles, she cut them so they started bleeding and she did nothing to stop it! She didn't even clean up the blood. Therefore, when the pedicure was over, I had dried blood on my toe, which was gross! You would think that she would clean it up? Also, the paint job was horrible. There was paint all over my skin. When I saw that she took the top coat out, I immediately told her that there was no was she was going to leave my toes looking like that! It had honestly looked like a small child had painted them, it was so horrible. Another thing is that she cleaned the foot bath while my toes were drying and she spent maybe a whole 15 seconds doing so. I don't even know if she used soap or not because I sure didn't see any suds. It was just gross. I honestly can't believe that they have such poor hygiene. Overall, I was in and out of that place in 20 minutes or so. They weren't busy at all, so I don't know why the lady was in such a rush and did an utterly horrible job. I love this place. The customer service is always amazing no matter who's helping you. Everyone is so nice and professional. In the past when I've gone to other nail salons, I've always had a favorite person, but not here. They're all great! They have a great gel selection and can match any gel color to the regular nail polishes that they have. This is nice for people like me who don't care for gel on their toes. Not to mention they always have some good movie or show playing on their TV that's mounted up on the wall. No matter which chair you sit in you can clearly see the TV. The shop is always clean too. I'm going to give my honest opinion about this place. I only have done a basic manicure for $9.00. This manicure last me exactly two weeks before the paint starts to peel off. This is my third visit and I'm never disappointed on how long the color last on my nail ( I think it's the nail polish they use to be honest ). The ladies are very nice but they rush the manicure they don't take their time massaging your hands for instance or scrubbing them or even taking off the skin. It's a fast and basic manicure but I keep coming back because I was so impress by how long it last and how pretty my nails stay...the place for example where you sit while your nail polish dries it dusty. I can see why people say it's dirty because it is. I personally would never get a pedicure here or anything else besides my basic manicure they do a really good job and like I said it last me for the full two weeks. Update. If you read my last post and I have mentioned that I have a feeling this place was going to mess up my toe nails. Well it did. The dirty implements that was used on me or even the nail polish messed up my toe nails and feet. My toe nail got infected and messed up since that day. I thought it will go away as the nail grew out but it didnt. My nail got some kind of fungus that I never had in my life. My feet used to be beautiful and now I can't even wear sandals. I'm so embarrassed of how my feet looks now. Thanks to this place for ruining my feet. Now I'm going into treatments to get rid of what ever this place infected my feet with. I came in showed them the design I wanted and they sat me down said they could do it. The guy that did my nails was super rough he cut me with the electric file twice. One of the cuts was across my real nail he cut through it. They had said they could do the design but once you they were trying and two people tried they said they couldn't do it. I gave the two stars cut my nails came out nice even though they weren't what I wanted. I also think it's very rude that they say they can do it just to get your business if they would have been honest from the get go I would've gone somewhere else. read more

Came in a at around 6 pm asked for a full set, they said take a seat. I waited about 15 to 20 min till they finally sat me down, as i was waiting for my turn another girl comes in and asks for a pedicure they take her in and sat her down and began to do her pedicure when i had been waiting before her! As i waited the guy comes over and asks me what color i want so i show him a picture of what i want and he says, yes i can do that, (ill try) so i didnt say anything but i thought to myself like what do you mean ill try like tell me yes or no? So i let him continue and when he was done i looked at my nails and it didn't look like what i was asking for. So i just paid and left but I would not recommend this place at all and wont be going back. They dont even do what you ask for so why waste time and money when you can go somewhere else and they can do what you ask for. I got the gel manicure. They keep switching staff to work on my nail which was the weirdest thing ever. They make you put your hands under the blue light to make the time pass. I think putting the hands under that too many times is bad for you. Anyway, they just paint the nails, make you wash your hand and send you in your way. Other places would give you a massage. This is an update 2 years later. The costumer service is still very good and the workers and absolutely the best they take care of me and everyone else really great. And my nails come out beautiful when they are done. Today I got done obre nails and there absolutely gorgeous!! I got my nails done by nikki. I recommend Montclair nails 100% !!! Not once have they done a bad job or disrespected me or anyone else. they take there time to do there best and are very patient. The money that you pay for your nails is WORTH IT I left this nail salon happy with beautiful nails. I always recommend this place to family and friends and there all happy once they leave the nail salon. My daughters always get there nails done here and are very pleased with there results. OK let me start by saying I went in Monday wanted fills Nikki said she was really busy short on staff she could take me as a walk-in or come back schedule an appointment for today Thursday at 5 o'clock walked in on time asked me to have a seat after sitting for 15 minutes I Asked how much longer she said 15 minutes 537 finally sit me down come to find out she gets defensive when I tell her I would like my nails filed round on top square in the front she gets aggressive and defensive with me then she sits me there waiting meanwhile she's cashing someone out grabs her drink goes to the back and then comes back behind me sits down and says OK maybe you don't understand how I'm gonna file your nails and do my technique on you I said no you asked me how I wanted them done and I told you and you couldn't take the constructive criticism you got defensive I'm giving you constructive criticism and she just got offended pissed off and asked me to leave that she wasn't going to do my nails and I said you know what your problem is you got an attitude and you can't take constructive criticism I'd be more than happy to leave and let me demonstrate my nails OK you did the full set I raise nails up under the light to compare. When she's saying there ugly mind you she said in front of all the customer sitting there three family members her mother and another person inside. I said this is the set you did two weeks ago this is my first fill after showing her under the light how thick one hand was and how flat and thin the other hand was she said this is ugly I said this is your technique this is your work you're the only one that did it I'd be more than happy to walk out but at least take the fucking criticism Dum ass. read more

I am so angry at this place!I go in and ask if they know how to do a certain type of nail style ( I showed him a picture) he said he was able to do them. Throughout the process I kept showing him the picture to remind him what I wanted it to look like. He kept telling me "I got it, you don't have to keep showing me the picture." He said he had the right colors. So I said okay because I didn't want to keep bugging him about it. Now I can let a slight wrong color choice go, but he did my nails wrong in every way possible. First off, wrong color for the gold. It looks orange. Second, he placed my nails on crooked, he left a big gap on the sides of my acrylic nails, I told him the glitter was wrong and he refused to change it to the glitter I asked for. I didn't ask for gel and he did it anyways and told me I had to do gel for the style I wanted. He ended up charging me 35 dollars for some fucked up nails and he kept talking over me when I tried to tell him he was doing it wrong.
