My vehicle was due to 100k service. I usually do basic services on my vehicles myself, but did not have the time to perform a timing belt replacement on my own. Since I work on my own vehicles, I am fairly particular on who works on my vehicles. I chose Monument Auto Masters on a referral from a friend and what a great recommendation that was! I came in on Monday morning just after they opened and they put it right on the lift, identified the problem (a torn fender liner) and fixed it on the spot. Chris, the owner, wasn't even going to charge me for it and I reminded him that his staff time was worth money and he agreed to take a small payment. In my lifetime, and at 55 it's been a long time, I have not had a mechanic due to feeling as I have been taken advantage of. Until now that is. After having taken my car repeatedly to Midas for squealing brakes MAM confirmed what I read about pour brakes. Topped off my brake fluid, when just 1 month ago I was at Midas for the third time and they didn't say squat about fluid. I have been coming here for years and I always forget to write a review but today totally deserves one. I walked in because I busted my side mirror off and ordered one to replace it myself. This was an epic fail to many bolts and ways to fuck up the door so I brought it in and they are going to replace it while I wait. How sweet are they now I get to save money by no ubering around all day plus I know it will be done right. I have done services such as brakes, o2 sensors, engine issues, alignment and smog between all the cars in my family. Chris the owner is always fair , well priced and will tell you that you can do this repair now and this one later to save you money in an emergency fix situation it's great. I have been coming to Auto Masters for about three years now. I have had other shops tell me what the problem is and when they have everything apart "Whoops" we have another problem and more money. Chris is very honest and able to diagnose a problem accurately and provide a cost with no surprises. In addition he is very punctual with his turnaround time. As far as his prices he is very fair! I recently brought my ES350 Lexus to Monument Auto Masters and Chris was the best! He was honest and explained everything he did in detail. He didn't try to persuade me to make unnecessary repairs and answered all my questions. I had my reservations about bringing my car at first to anyone other than the dealership, however after I brought my car to Lexus of Concord and received the worst customer service ever, they even left grease stains on my light grey leather seats! And was trying to charge me nearly $900 for a regular 60K service, 3x times the price I was given at Auto Masters for the same service. It's been awhile since I had to visit these guys. (which is a good thing). On my previous visits they were always professional and efficient. My biggest kudos to them is they always give you all the options for repair and explain all the different pros and cons, on most repairs you can find the right solution to fit you budget. I came in to the shop yesterday to have auto Masters look at my 2006 Lincoln and they told me I needed a fan in the modulator and the cost was going to be over 600 in parts and 200 in labor for my peace of mind and I wanted to check around I called the dealership and the fan in the modulator on only comes in one unit The dealership said I could buy the whole unit for 289 no charge 100 dollars to put it in next time somebody goes to that shop you but I shop around before you get your car fixed there because you're going to get ripped off read more

My car was making a very LOUD noise after I ran over something large on the freeway. I thought for sure I broke an axel or something. It turned out to be a splash guard broke loose and was rubbing on the tire. Chris An (owner) could have charged me for some obscure engine part (I don't know anything about cars!) but he didn't. Low price, honesty, and fast. They did a good job today with my Honda 2002. The owner showed me the chips on my rotor, the rusty, and it was very thin; also he was honest with my brake pads. Big O tire in Pinole told me my front brakes was only 5mm, but they wouldn't recommend me to change them soon, but they did recommend me to change my tires. So after drove for another 3 thousand miles, I decided to have my brake changed. I had been calling many places, they either too expensive or couldn't tell me the price. Yesterday, I took my car to Wheel Works in Walnut Creek at 10am, and signed the paper, and was told to be ready at 2pm, maybe 2:30pm, the latest 3pm. I returned at 2:30pm, wait until 3:00, then said they couldn't do the job unless I agrees to change both, the rotors and the pads, but they were vague about the thickness of the pads. They said still 5mm. So I said no and left. I am glad I left because today I got a better deal with Monument Auto Master. They also rotate my tires. Big O Tire wouldn't rotate them because they said there were no enough track left. read more

No appointment needed for my oil change, in and out in less than 30 minutes! Professional, efficient and very helpful. On a side note the mechanics working in the shop could try to remember that the waiting room is within hearing distance, nothing negative was being said but the four letter words were not necessary, I would have asked to wait in the office if I had children with me. read more
