Wow. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. We just had a terrible experience here. Walked out before we even completed the order. This place is absolutely NOT ALLERGY FRIENDLY. The minute we informed our waitress that one of our children has a couple of food allergies her already sour attitude soured even more. God forbid we ask about what's in the Moo Sauce! When we asked about ingredients in the hamburger buns, instead of simply taking a minute to check with the back, her flippant, blow off response was "I don't know, they'll just buns". After asking her to check... she begrudgingly went to the kitchen window and low a behold... the buns contained one of my son's allergens! Normally, this is not a huge issue, but combined with the down right rude, nasty, uninterested, anti-accommodating attitude, our internal allergy alarms were going off and we decided to avoid this horrible place. God forbid if we needed to epi-pen our kid because some 2-bit waitress is too put out when asked a couple of questions. Forget this place. We would have been placing our child in potentially life threatening danger if we stayed here. Thank god there is Sonic Dive in near by. Sonic has a great allergen menu. read more

This place is right next door to my work so I was bound to try it. My first thought was Hahahhaa at the Name of the Place Moo Moo's Burger Barn. But I really enjoyed the Buffalo chicken, it is pretty spicy so if there was less buffalo sauce it would be better but it's pretty delicious! Hubby and I came here to get our "Cow Tipper On!" If you have never seen Clerks 2 then your gonna be lost with that line, even though its Moo Moos and not Moobies. Lol! Dude that rang us up at the counter got the reference! Burgers are pretty darn good and seasoned well. Hubby and I both subbed our Beef Patties for Turkey Patties. They also give a choice on all of their burgers to sub the beef for grilled or fried chicken as well. There is also a veggie patty option as well. Reason why review is 4 stars is because they charge .85 cents to sub their beef patty for any of the other options I mentioned above. Also prices are Kinda high, I think it was like 6 bucks for a shake... Which was da bomb. A container of ice cream does not cost 6 bucks, so that was pretty high for a shake. But for burgers alone its around 7 bucks and if you choose the meal which just comes with fries it's around 10 or 11 bucks. I like the option of fries that come with the meal. You can choose from regular fries, beer battered fries, I think sweet potato, and amazing onion rings which are totally made with a nice beer batter. Next time I am definitely going to try their Redhook Beer Battered Fish n Chips. If there onion ring batter is anything like the fish n chips batter I know it's gonna be bomb! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Place was slow though.. I hope they pick up business soon. Maybe they need to advertise with living social or groupon so people in all of sac know about this place. Hopefully that promotes business. One more suggestion maybe they should also offer lunch specials, there is a ton of businesses around there and that might help build up business as well. But decent place I prefer it much better than Smash Burger or Red Robin. Lots of variety and good amount of appetizers for a burger joint! read more

Moo Moo's Burger Barn is a welcome addition to the corner of Sunset and Stanford Ranch. The menu is incredibly comprehensive and should feature something for just about anyone. The one area that was lacking for me--and this could have just been a one off or a new place working out the kinks--was the execution. The menu has a ton of breakfast options, a whole barnyard's worth of burger and sandwich options, and all the sides you could think of. On my maiden voyage I chose the Pastrami Burger. It was massive and came with a heaping portion of salted, cured beef on top. I had the battered fries on the side and was quite happy with them. On the other hand, my experience was not without a few cow-tipping mishaps. When I ordered the Pastrami Burger, the server heard Monterey Burger. I was ordering to go so luckily they printed out my receipt on the spot and I was able to correct the issue. The wait was quite long. When the burger finally came out it was a little lukewarm. Moo Moo's has potential, but perhaps a few growing pains on the way. I'll be back to see how things are progressing. read more

This place was great. Nina was our server and was incredibly kind. My boyfriend want a sticker and she was kind enough to give him some so sweet. The beer batter fries are delicious. I got the Monterey burger. Very good and my bf got the breakfast one on Texas toast. His was better lol but they both were great. *****SLOW SERVICE**** We have always enjoyed our food here but today it was unacceptable. 15 minutes since we placed our order and no breakfast yet. This is not good and the place is not close to being busy. Saturday April 2nd. First time here to this new location in Rocklin. I had the Morning Moo Burger on a Kaiser roll instead of the Texas Toast. Anytime you have a burger with an egg on it, how can that be wrong? The only issue is that the two strips of bacon that are on it are very very small slices. They need to be thicker and longer. We had Oreo shakes that were old school served in the metal cylinder. Loved it. You can take home whatever you don't finish. Very good service as well. We will be back. read more

My friend and I tried out Moo Moo's in Rocklin tonight, fabulous service and such yummy food! Jeff was our server tonight, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! The owner Ramzi was very friendly, he made us feel like family. He came by and chit chatted with is for a while. It's rare to receive such great service from every single person there. I'm giving the highest review on this place because I absolutely LOVED my chocolate milkshake!!! So glad I ordered one as this place is supposed to be known for it. Had the milkshake about an hour after devouring a classic hamburger w/garlic fries! It was a takeout order, so the fries weren't as hot as I would like them to be, but I can imagine if they were right out of the fryer and delivered straight to the table! Warning...they actually put globs of chunky garlic on them! Just the way it should be!!! The burger was a very nice-sized patty. Hubby got double Moo w/bacon and he loved it. My friend and I went here for the first time one night after watching a movie. The staff greeted us kindly as we walked in. The menu had so many mouth watering choices. Been looking forward to checking out this new burger place in town. Sadly expectations were met with a big helping of FAIL! Positives: Awesome design, decor, lighting, environment. Negatives: 1) Didn't realize this was a sit down restaurant. Obviously many people will like this, but for people like me looking to come sit for a bit to eat a burger/fries/salad/tenders/etc. this is a big turn off because you have to wait for a server on drink refills and because you'll have to tip since its full service. It would be one thing if the food was amazing, but it's almost like getting a server to seat you at McDonalds and feels unnecessary. Speaking of, I'd rather eat McDonalds any day of the week compared to this joint as it would taste better and save me $10-15 for a basic meal! 2) No introduction to the business, usually a place that's just opened will instruct staff to say stuff like "have you been in before" "how'd you hear about us" or "how was your food". Our server was all business, no intro or questions to leave possible feedback. 3) The normal fries tasted like they were out of a frozen walmart bag or gross diner fare, tenders might of been a bad batch because 2 of the 3 were half consistent of very rubbery chicken that makes you think you just broke a tooth when you bite down on it. Conclusion: Even if management offered me a giftcard I wouldn't go back, first impressions are huge. Thank goodness places like Five Guys and Mooyah exist in this town because they know how to do it right when it comes to Burgers and Fries! I love it here! The employees are awesome. They are like a big family! The flaming moo is too die for and their beer battered fries are delightful as well. I had a dinner salad last time I went and it was one of the best I've had at restaurant. To others that say the employees socialize too much...to me it looks like friends hanging out after work because they like it there too much to go home right away. My only comment is I wish you guys were open later sometimes my busy schedule doesn't allow me to eat until later and moo moos would be my choice otherwise. Keep up the great work!! Jess read more

Ordered the Moo Melt with battered fries yesterday to go. The restaurant itself looked very nice, lots of leather booths and flat screen T.Vs. We were greeted immediately and handed our order. I couldn't wait until we got home, the smell was so good and began eating it on our way home. The portion sizes are large, the fries were hot and crispy, (but soft on the inside). Moo melt had tomatoes, red onion, a very lean patty and wonderful bread. I couldn't finish it so my husband obliged. He is super picky and typically won't eat anything unless I cook it, but he told me afterwards that we should consider going there on a regular basis and trying other items on their menu also.. I passed by this place before and wanted to try MooMoo's. I didn't realize it was a "sit-down" place, so I sat at the bar (yeah, they serve alcohol). Not that there's anything wrong with that. But it explains why the guys are constantly moving through the bar area. I had the Classic Moo, to try it out without the fancy stuff they put on a burger and charge you more for. It was just okay. Nothing special about it. And I keep saying that I get a better burger at Wendy's. This place makes that statement true. I also got the sweet potato fries. Again, nothing to call mom about. Loved the place. 1st time last night with daughter and SIL. My daughter and I had the grilled ham/cheese w/onion rings. DELISH. Service is very good. Very friendly folks working there. Attentive, and nice guys. I ordered a burger and a "green" salad. The salad had a lot of croutons, tomatoes, olives, and onions. So if you don't want those, you'll have to ask. Also, the burger was well-done. I didn't really care for it being cooked that much, BUT, that is my fault. I know better, but on the other hand..... SmashBurger and KrushBurger don't give you a burger on the dry side by default. This one was. I'm not really holding that against them - I will try again and order medium and see how that goes. Hit up Moo Moo's for lunch with the crew. Prices were right for the quality and the food came out pretty quickly. Booths are spacious and comfortable. Calvin was our server and he did his best to make sure we were well taken care of. Classic Moos and BBQ Moos were had. Side salad option with the burger was large and fresh. So my first experience here was absolutely terrible. I waited an hour and a half for food and ended up leaving after because I wasn't even checked up on, given this was on my girlfriends lunch...this was on one of the days they freshly opened. Well I call tonight to have an order prepped for me for carry out. I called at 8pm thinking that they closed at 9pm, however I was wrong, the manager there took my order and when I get there the doors are locked so you can imagine my bit of confusion, well they can't find my order and the manager steps in and assumes full responsibility and tells me that my fish and chips are on him and his remorse is sincere. I was over at Verizon and he personally delivers my food at around 8:20 again at no charge, this really caught my eye and gave me a smile seeing someone take responsibility and using their power to take care of a customer, good job! read more
