We're huge fans of Moody Ales, so we felt compelled to try the tacos. While the price of $2.50 is unbeatable, and the size and tortilla quality are great, we felt that the tacos were a bit too fancy for our taste. The abundance of extra veggies on top was a bit overwhelming, and we thought they could use just a pinch of salt. However, overall, we would still recommend trying them, especially if you're enjoying a drink on the premises. They're a great accompaniment to a beverage, and the value is hard to beat.

Not bad, pretty decent selection of beers. Hard to choose moody ales over the other breweries on the row on an average night, but they do have a few standout beers on occasion and a decent patio.

Moody Ales is the last craft brewery on the block. Their beer is nothing special. You can buy from can size all the way to Growler size. Prices are not bad. They also have boardgames that you can play while having their beer here. Nice vibes. I like the fact that there are no age restrictions at craft brewery places.

Moody Ales was the second brewery we checked out along Brewers Row. This one is the furthest away but still only a 5 minute walk away from the main area. They had a food truck, Russet Shack, out front that was serving loaded style potatoes. We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon (around 5:00pm). The space is huge with tons of seating inside and out. The patio was packed; a mix of picnic tables and cabin style chairs. Cool that they have a stack of board games available too. There were 10 flavours on tap (plus a cider and two wines). They also had a few snacks (Hardbite chips, BHK jerky, kettle corn and pepperoni sticks). There's a small merchandise area (hats (a pineapple one!), tees and glassware). Their 16 oz glass ($5.00) is the cheapest we've seen but it was plain. - Flight ($8.00 for 4) - we went with the ravens collab brut IPA (#8), huge citrus hazy pale ale (#10), bergamot sour kolsch (#14) and bourbon barrel aged russian imperial stout (#11) ($1.50 extra). Our favourite was the sour kolsch; refreshing, light and sour. Russian imperial stout was interesting but a sampler was more than enough. Huge citrus hazy pale ale was most similar to Twin Sails dat juice pale ale. Brut IPA was pretty standard. - Sublime pineapple hefeweizen ($6.85 for 650ml bottle) - Intrepid matcha saison ($6.85 for 650ml bottle) Again, decent beers but nothing stood out for us. The bottles we brought home are more to our beer liking.

Conveniently located down the street from Yellow Dog, this is a great way to clear out the craft beer scene in Port Moody. Parking is available in front, as well as in a small (public) lot across the street. The inside follows the hipster theme of "converted warehouse", which is what this establishment basically is. The establishment feels a lot more spacious than Yellow Dog, though that may be because of fewer customers. There are also a couple of picnic benches in front, which must be nice during the summer months. Staff were friendly and professional. The girl even brought my filled growler back to my table. They sell munchies here as well, such as potato chips. As they only had 5 brews available at the time, I had a paddle to knock out 4 of them (Hardy Brown Ale, Affable IPA, Smoulder Smoked Porter, and their cast Blond Ale Equinox). Unfortunately, I didn't find their beer to be very good overall. The only one I liked was the brown ale. A for effort, but the place needs a bit of work. I may be back at some point in the future, but for now, I think I'll stick to Yellow Dog.

We came here for the Lavender Sour after we had saw at at a local liquor store and wanted to come directly to the source. Wow! I *LOVE* sours and additionally a good floral flavor. The two combined made for the best beer I have ever had. It was truly like my two loves had come together to create a masterpiece. Don't miss out if this flavor intrigues you!

The best brewery in Port Moody hands down. The pineapple hef for the win this summer. So juicy and delicious. The cute pineapple swag has me over the top happy with this place. There's a ton of parking if you're swinging in to fill a growler or you can take the train as it's super close. The staff are friendly and there is a good selection of board games to choose from too! Moody Ales has always been and will continue to be my favorite.

I tried their IPA and loved it - medium hoppiness goodness. Love the vibe! They have some board and card games available to play. You have to ask for Cards Against Humanity at the bar and now we know why, it was a pretty dwindled down set! All good though. This block of breweries gets pretty busy, I'd recommend going earlier. We got there around 9pm and there was about a 5-10 min wait for us.

How fun it is to live in an up-and-coming brewing district. Moody is pretty darn solid. Their vibe is a tad more Hipster than Yellow Dog, which I leans a bit more to the family side. Come to Moody Ales on a Friday or Saturday evening if you want to hang with the cool cats. The crew is super cool. I sat and enjoyed a glass of smoked porter while waiting for my growler fill of blonde ale. The flavour was a lot of varying hoppiness that was easy to distinguish. It was nice to chat with them and learn more about their processes. Overall, their beers lean to the bitter/hoppy side. Fine for those who like it but I prefer to lean toward the malty beers. One thing I gotta say tho... is their branding is a bit of a miss. They tried to look all rustic and slapdash but it feels a little forced. To have it scrawled across their back facade in supergraphic is a bit of a mistake IMO. But maybe it will eventually just become a fabric of the community!

I love their labels. Clearly displaying what you got (important when you have a couple of growlers!), the day of refill, and ABV

Good variety of beers, at least 12. So there should be at least one that you'd like. They offer from taster glasses to refilling your growler. They have some light snacks, tshirts, and hats. Nice atmosphere. They have 3 tables and space at the bar. The downside is that they don't allow dogs inside as most breweries do. They have a patio with more tables that might be great during the summer and for the pooch. I love their labels. Clearly displaying what you got (important when you have a couple of growlers!), the day of refill, and ABV. I wish they would add IBU, keeping the education!

My favourite microbrewery! I really appreciate the great service from the women who work there, they always make me feel appreciated and relaxed as a customer and I somehow end of spending way more than I sought out to! The vibe is nice and unpretentious unlike some of their competitors. You don't have to be a Hipster to hang out here and enjoy their fresh quality, beer. You can get great craft beer at lots of places now thankfully, but Moody Ales goes beyond with their great attitudes and welcoming atmosphere. I will be a regular customer for the foreseeable future. Worth the drive to Port Moody! (Haven't partaken in any of the food trucks yet but some of them are very alluring.)

I wanted to order a turkey panini, but the server informed me they don't have it. In fact, they only had one kind of panini available (of five) with prosciutto. I ordered that with the regular chips add-on and a non-alcoholic IPA. The panini was terrible. The prosciutto and the greens both tasted old and the whole thing was soggy. Even the cut was sloppy. The chips never came so I pointed it out when we got the bill. The server said she forgot about the chips. She came back with a minuscule bag of extremely spicy tortilla chips and said that's all the chips they had. I now understand why the place was empty on a Saturday afternoon. At least the beer was nice, otherwise this would be a 1* review.

Parking is plentiful on St. Johns, as well as the side street. There is a small lot, but it might be part of a patio. There is also a food truck (I imagine rotating) in front. The building is pretty bare bones right now. There is a bar area, 2 seating areas, and a stage for what I assume will be future live music. And of course the patio area in front. The venue was still doing a soft opening as of the time of writing. As they haven't received their flight paddles yet, there were no flights available. I was forced to order 16oz sleeves instead. The taster glasses still say FMF (Fraser Mills Fermentation) on them. At this point, the beers are honestly quite mediocre. Everything was quite bitter despite being non ales, including the "lighter" ones such as the Cerveza and the Citrus IPA. I honestly had a bit of trouble deciding what to order, as nothing really stood out in a good way. The staff were understanding though, which is greatly appreciated. Honestly at this point it might be better to give them a few weeks to work out the kinks.

I don't consider myself a beer/sour person, but I genuinely enjoyed the tropical sour and I loved that you can order $3 mini sizes so that you can go for more variety. I also tried the prickly pear sour, which sounded better in theory, but I wasn't mad that I tried it. A lot of my friends like the light beer (only 110 cal!) and the raspberry flavoured one. They're also well known for their deep dish style pizza. Although we were stuffed from dinner earlier, we knew we had to try it. Despite having no appetite, I still enjoyed the couple of bites I had. I liked that there was an even distribution of ingredients and the thickness of the pizza added texture and enjoyment. I don't frequent Port Moody, but would love to check this place out again if I'm in the area.
