Perusing the menu, it looks like most of the items are barbecue related. I ordered a fried hot chicken sandwich. It came on a soft roll and required eating with a knife and fork because the amount of fried chicken overwhelmed the roll. The chicken was perfectly fried and crispy with a great sauce transmitting good heat. I ordered corn bread to go for a midnight snack. When trying the bread in my hotel room later that night, I couldn't eat it. I think the chef used a tablespoon instead of a teaspoon when adding salt to the batter, which was disappointing because I love a good corn bread. I'm guessing this was a one off and will try it again. I'll be back in Stowe this summer on the bike and will try Nocturnal again in order to provide an update.
