Solid asian fusion restaurant in the riverdale area. Always come here for dine in or delivery. Place is small but cozy & clean. Servers are friendly and attentive. Every time we order our food comes in fast & fresh. Fried food doesn't taste refried or oil reused which is usually a turn off on most chinese / asian restaurants. I recommend this restaurant if you are in the Riverdale area.

    Broken plastics in the food.

Service and quality have substantially gone downhill. My order was spilled and the plastic was melted into the food. Second time it happened. Called restaurant and the lady was apathetic and rude. She said "we don't have any non-plastic container. You need to bring your own container next time." Sorry, there won't be next time.

This place is incredibly easy to miss unless you're intentionally looking for it. I've gone past it…read moreso many times without a clue this establishment was even there. I loved the ambiance of the place, it was so cozy, warm and relaxing. The music they were playing matched perfectly with the vibe and aesthetics of the place, it was soft and romantic in a way. There are plenty of tables available for groups or solo dates. This is a perfect place to sit down and journal or get some work done. I literally only waited 10 minutes from start to finish to get my takeout, I sat down on one of the available tables and immediately started reading my Bible app, truly relaxing. Half of the tablets were occupied but everyone appeared to be relaxed and just enjoying their meals so the noise level was low. If you're waiting for takeout they give you a ticket and then bring your takeout to the table you're at. If you ordered in advance for a pick up you just walk to the counter and they hand over your food. The staff were friendly and graceful. While I was ordering my food at the counter, I was able to see the staff handling some of the food. They were plating, and I was pleasantly surprised with the fact that all of them were wearing gloves even while they were taking the prepared food to the tables. You get 5% off your bill if you pay with cash. There are no atms inside. Now let's talk about the actual food, the star of the show. I ordered the claypot braised pork belly and I was notttt disappointed! This meal was such a unique experience. I am used to eating very flavorful and well seasoned dishes overall so I've tasted plenty of dishes that had more flavor than this. However, I have never enjoyed a dish that was so intentional with all of its textures and tastes. The rice was soft and light, and the vegetables had the perfect amount of crunch and spice, while the pork had a mild sweetness to it. The egg was a perfect add on to put it all together. This is the kind of plate that you have to truly eat everything it's served with to fully enjoy all of the different textures and flavors that it brings. If any of the spices or flavors would've been overwhelming, it would take away from the other flavors every item on the plate has to offer. I put a little of everything with each bite, yummm. The only flaw with the dish unfortunately is that the larger portions of the pork were chewy and a bit dry, which based on other reviews seems to be a thing. The smaller pieces were very tender and delicious. I will definitely order again from here. I'm excited to try their homemade soda, coffees and their summer/spring roles Happy yelping and enjoy

The staff are incredibly fun and friendly, always ready to serve up delicious, authentic Vietnamese food--or pizza, if that's what you're in the mood for. On paper, VPho is an odd mix: New York-style pizza by the slice or pie alongside flavorful Vietnamese dishes. But somehow, it works. The location still has classic pizza shop vibes but has plenty of seating for smaller groups. Prices are very reasonable, and for my Pelham Parkway locals, here's a solid move--grab some bánh mì to go on your way to a Yankees game. Whether you're craving a great slice or some legit Vietnamese food, this spot delivers. And don't forget to say hello to my guy Miguel, the local pizza legend.

I've always loved…read moreChinese and Asian food since I was a kid, and in adulthood I make a lot of Asian dishes at home for their economic-friendly nature and health - chicken and broccoli with chili sauces and curries is a favorite of mine that also gets me my daily veggie requirement and is low in calories (I mean compared to fried chicken cutlets, meatballs and pasta or some of the other carb-heavy dishes I could make) and quick to make. I never expected to find a good Southeast Asian market in Fordham, like right pretty much in the heart of Fordham, a couple blocks up Kingsbridge. It's the only one of its kind besides the halal meat market next door. I found this place through google maps and almost thought google maps was making a mistake. Although there's not much info about their hours (I just know they're open 7 days a week, forgot to ask their hours when I was there and they're not posted) I took a chance and stopped by. I was expecting, like most "misplaced" ethnic markets, to not have a wide variety, have expired products, and whatever they do have, to be overpriced. None of this was the case here at Battambang. They had pretty much everything I need to make my coconut curry dishes - all the kinds of curry paste, from massaman to green to red. Jarred sauces galore that I normally have to go to Flushing or Chinatown in Manhattan for, and not dusty or looking like they've been sitting on the shelf forever. Chinese sauces as well. Noodles of all kinds - Udon to vercimilli. Coconut water and coconut milk. And best of all, the prices were the same, or in some cases even a little lower than what I normally pay at Hong Kong Supermarket or J Mart, even being a small, almost bodega style market. The employees were very friendly and talkative with me. They're from Cambodia, but the store has products from Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and China. I'm so happy to have found a store with Asian sauces and products nearby, that I don't have to go downtown or pay tolls to go to Queens for.

My perception of the restaurant was significantly altered. As a vegan, I was aware of the vegetarian options available, so I requested that the drunken noodles be prepared in a vegan manner. I provided explicit instructions to ensure the desired outcome. However, when the drunken noodles arrived, the sauce exhibited an unpleasant fishy taste. The establishment confirmed the use of fish paste in the sauce. Despite this, they promptly remade the dish. I strongly advise against ordering the Yummy Ma-Ma. It resembled store bought instant noodles with a homemade sauce. The vegetables were undercooked, and the tofu was not well prepared. After experiencing the Yummy Ma-Ma, That's when I decided to try the Drunken Noodles. I requested that the tofu be cooked differently, which, after the fish paste incident, resulted in a more palatable sauce and better-cooked tofu. Initially, I was impressed with the quality of the dish. However, upon further inspection, I discovered that the noodles and vegetables were still undercooked. One waitstaff was kind, but one of them was particularly unhelpful. (Only noticed men working there) While I do not condone rudeness, I cannot recommend this establishment.
