When you have such a name for a restaurant, everyone working there and the owner(s) should show pride and emphasis in upholding its name. To begin, it took them a while to bring water to our table. We were looking at the menu for over 5 minutes. Then when I was ordering I was ppointing AT the lunch special section to order food. The section says a complimentary item of soup/salad/spring roll so I'd thought it would come with any at the restaurant's choosing since the girl taking my order didn't ask which one nor did she bother to mention how the lunch special works. Maybe I should have asked her for clarity but isn't it a restaurant worker's job to assist people with their orders and provide clarity?? All she asked was what style of noodles or rice and with what kind of protein we wanted. Our entrées didn't take too long to come and we were surprised at the portion size. We were about 1/3 through eating our entrees and still didn't get our complimentary items. Had to flag down the guy working by the front; I said we ordered the lunch special and wondering where the complimentary items are at. He replied with a very confused look - You ordered the lunch? He went to check the system and came back to say the order was at 3 PM and order isn't a lunch special. And I asked - Isn't the lunch menu from 11:30 to 3 PM? Yes, there must have been a communication problem he said. And told him when I was ordering I was pointing AT the menu so how was there a problem? Seems like the girl totally ignored where I was pointing on the menu? She didn't ask if I wanted regular or lunch special to make sure? Rude to change to a regular order without asking. The system also First and foremost they are not living up to its restaurant name very well. Rude to change to a regular order without asking. The system also didn't show that order was put in after the lunch special time! That's just not ethical. So the guy said he'll have to charge regular price for the entrées because of the size and asked if we still wanted the extra items. Still got charged for them. *face palm* As good business practice the lunch special price should have been honored as an apology because it was THEIR fault. Now let's talk about the food. The flavors weren't as strong as Thai food is known for, especially the lemongrass seasoning, usually in Woon Sen style dishes (we ordered one with pork) and it didn't taste fresh? Also I think they used chicken instead? The Shrimp Pad See Ew flavor was okay, unfortunately the shrimps weren't very fresh and the noodles so overcooked (no chewiness left at all) you could just swallow it without chewing. At least the mushroom soup and the Thai Iced Tea were okay and didn't taste watered down. The spring roll was a joke. It was ONE and was the length of a 3 inch soy sauce dipping sauce plate because it was served in one! Not even sure how this place has been in business for a long as it has been, probably having a bar helps with its vibes. As someone who is of partly Southeast Asian heritage and have Thai relatives this was a disappointing meal. I think I will be sticking to what my elders taught me as #1 rule eating at any Asian restaurant, make sure there are always Asian people in there and have plenty of Asian people reviews for authenticity. This spot did not have "Yummy Thai" and glad we didn't get sick from the food. And anyone who knows authentic Thai food would expect alot with such a restaurant name.

Decent local Thai eatery. I like the decor and courteous staff members. Nice cozy place for dates or casual dining. I ordered take out red tofu veggie curry, Thai dumplings, and Thai stir fried rice. The red curry was decent but I've had better. My favorite was the fried rice and Thai dumplings. I usually don't like fried rice but theirs are tasty. The Thai dumplings were delicious, must have appetizer. Looking for a cozy spot for hot Thai food, yummy Thai is an option. I thought the food that I ordered, that was thai chicken wings, and green curry were average. My lychee martini was five stars and the best one I've had ever. I thought the service was pretty good. I was told that since they charged a sur charged fee, if you use credit/debit, I decided to use cash instead to avoid the fee. The thing that impressed me the most about this restaurant is how beautiful it is. The decorations, from the lighting, and what looks like someone plant a tree in the middle of it. They had a beautiful bench in an area all decorated and dressed up for social media attention. It was really nice inside. They also had outdoor dining, but this particular day was a bit breezy. The food was just ok. I was expecting more flavor from my green curry. My Thai wings were just crispy chicken, served with sweet chili sauce. Nothing phenomenal. I will give a thumbs up, the prices are pretty good, my drink was amazing, and they have a really good happy hour deal. Not to mention, my overall experience was not bad, but just ok. HAPPY YELPING!

Ok Guys! I ordered an early take-out dinner here. I got the Thai noodles w/ vegetarian duck. This was very tasty would definitely order this again. I also go the fried dumplings it was different than I expected but ok not really for me. Ohhh, I really enjoyed the cold tea at the bar they add some kind of milk to it. It's very very good & for only $4 u can't beat it. It's in a clear beverage canister. The place is clean, & clean air. No smelly, smoky restaurant smell like some places. The prices r fair to be be in NYC. Transportation: Take A train to last stop W. 207th St / Bway or #1 Train to 207th St & walk up (3) blocks to Bway. It's in Inwood so it's safe enough. Staff is friendly! It's a beautiful restaurant u can sit in & eat if u like. Large enough to bring a group of ppl indoor & outdoor dining. Enjoy! I definitely, recommend this spot.

I passed this restaurant several times in several years and never been inside. Customer service is not there. There is missed opportunity. However, the food is delicious. We order the Pineapple Fried Rice Entree, Pad Thai Entree, and Calamari. They gave you more than enough portion that you can take home or share the dish. Cute ambience I will definitely come again. Affordable prices great for family date night or just eating alone.

Found hair at bottom on pineapple fried rice after getting delivery. Definitely not mine. Worst part is that it was all the way at the bottom after I'm almost done eating. Disgusting

I went to Inwood area to have my bike serviced, so met a friend who lives in the neighborhood. So we decided on Thai food (one of my fav for its distinct spiciness) We went there for a lunch. Ordered a Tom Yum soup, wished it was spicier. On asking they said I can add the red chilly paste they provide you, that does not do it. But it was tolerable. Pad Kra Pow and Pad nam prik were our main courses. The dishes were scrumptious and big portion, actually 2 people can eat them. Came with white rice. I had pad nam made spicy but again that Thai kick was not there. Overall a good place, they do alot of pick n drops so it seems its a popular takeaway spot. The ride back to Bronx on Fordham road couldnt be more delightful after their food!!!

Lunch time for a party of one in Inwood, Manhattan. This Thai cafe is conveniently located nearby the A train at 207th Street (last stop in Northern Manhattan). Lunch special of large shrimp Pad Thai with salad $9.50 was average. It was very greasy and the portion was small for a platter. The salad peanut dressing was very bland and insufficient. Oddly, the salad was planted on the same plate as most standard Thai restaurants have serve the salad separately- a individual salad bowl and the Pad Thai in its own noodle bowl. Straight forward service without any malarkey. Certainly not authentic Thai cuisine as the food is too sweet. I overheard the staff (bar tender server, bus boy and female waitress) all speaking Spanish and far remote resembling anything Asian. This cafe has a bamboo decor with a large photo of a large Buddha with a background of a Buddhist temple, perhaps Wat Sena Sanaram, Ayutthaya? Tables are align set and filled with Western utensils rather than the traditional Asian utensils and no chopsticks in plain sight. Chopsticks are available by request only. Service is average. Air conditioned environment which was a nice cool down from the blazing humidity and summer's heat. Tap water is served in mason jars. While sitting at the bar I noticed a large glass jug of sangria which was enticing but no bits of fresh fruit was embedded. Takeout menu is available for grabs.

The restaurant was busy and I was by…read moremyself so I was happy to sit at the bar, and was attended to by the most sweet bartender ever. Very polite, professional and attentive. I first ordered the crispy spring rolls, which were very good. For my main I had the Massaman Curry. Now folks, this is my favorite curry of all time -- actually one of my favorite foods of all time -- and while it's common in LA where I used to live, it's not as common where I live now, in the Bay Area. And the restaurants that do carry it usually do not make it right and it's not very good. I am used to Massaman in the traditional preparation where it's more like a beef stew made with chunks of beef and needs to cook overnight. When done right it is the most aromatic curry ever -- it's almost like an aphrodisiac! -- and the beef comes out oh so tender. Usually if places have this curry but then offer a choice of protein, then it generally is not cooked properly, and that is actually how they prepare it at SaiTong. But because of such great reviews I decided to take a chance and try it. Well, let me tell you, it was definitely not the norm...it was absolutely delicious! I had it with chicken (they serve breast as default), and the chicken soaked up the curry really nicely. I also asked for there to be no onions, which I think alters the flavor of a curry too much. It does include the traditional potatoes and peanuts, and the potatoes were fine and cut into nice little chunks, the peanuts actually were thrown in raw.. what I think is the more traditional way which is to actually burn the peanuts a little bit, but that's okay, it didn't take down the dish any. Their brown rice is of the very dark kind, which I like, and goes so well with the curry. Service was wonderful from the bartender but was also provided by the rest of the staff and everyone was so nice. I left there feeling so satisfied, and cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes.

Fortunately, there were plenty of options near my Midtown hotel that offered quick delivery. Dagg Thai was just around the corner and had solid Yelp ratings. Rather than creating an online account, I called the restaurant directly and placed my order. They estimated delivery would take about 25 minutes. Less than 20 minutes later, the food was waiting for me in the hotel lobby. I ordered: * Cashew Nuts with Shrimp -- Bell peppers, onions, scallions, cashews, and dried chilies. * Dumplings -- Mixed shrimp and pork served with a soy vinaigrette dipping sauce. The Cashew Nuts with Shrimp had a flavorful, light sauce with just the right amount of heat. I really enjoyed it. My only disappointment was that the shrimp were battered and fried; I would have preferred grilled or pan-seared shrimp. The dumplings were more like shoo-mai than traditional dumplings. They were a bit dense but still flavorful and satisfying. Considering the quick delivery, the food arrived piping hot, and the excellent Cashew Nuts dish, this was an easy four-star meal.
