I think most people would enjoy this boba place. As another reviewer mentioned, menu descriptions would be helpful. My salesperson was friendly and patient to describe the drinks for me and make suggestions. I said I wanted a drink with a noticeable tea flavor and not too sugary, so I ended up ordering the #2 Golden Phoenix Milk Tea. It is fancy, topped with cheese foam and gold leaf! I added mini boba and ordered it with less ice, but as usual, I forgot to ask to reduce the sweetness. Creamy and goes down easy, but I couldn't taste the tea and only noticed how sweet it was. Eh, I don't think bubble tea is for me anymore. I should just stick to real tea. I don't think you can order hot tea drinks here. I hope the restaurant will eventually offer what appears to the Japanese souffle pancake posted as a Yelp pic. If so, I'll be running back to try that. Watch out One Milk Tea... There's a new Boba (shop) in town... I have been anticipating their opening day and they are finally open. The crowd has lessened a little bit since it's opening day on 1/14/23 and I was able to snag a table and enjoy some Chicken Wings with my Matcha Oreo Tornado (whoohoo! I don't have to drive all the way to Elk Grove at T% for this yummy flavored drink). The chicken wings (5-pcs) was tasty and flavorful too. Of course, when I'm not home on time the kids track me down on Friend Find and lo! and behold! I get a text with their orders: Herbal Tea, Supreme Lychee and The O.G. Viet Coffee. I also ordered Fried Fish Balls for the husband since he couldn't join me. The fish balls were chewy and reminds me of how they make them in the Philippines. We call them bola-bola referring to the versatile Filipino meatballs. Spacious boba shop with a few table seating. Nice aesthetics. Spotless. The kids at the order counter... err, young employees (Isaac and his female co-worker, I'm sorry, I didn't catch her name) were very helpful and friendly. I've been waiting for this boba shop to open. I agree with others that a description of their drinks is needed. I ordered the "Golden Phoenix Milk Tea," which consists of oolong tea topped with cheese foam. It came out warm, which was unexpected. It's because the tea was freshly brewed. The boba was a little on the soft side, but overall I enjoyed my drink. Finally I decided to try Moon tea, so excited that it open in west Roseville! The service is ok, at first, not very welcoming but later once I started the conversation with the cashier, she was a little more open up. The cashier only knows the description of the drinks but never had actually tried all the drinks and snacks. She probably only have tried them when she buys it. Hope the owner will make sure that their cashiers knows what they are selling ... The place was clean and empty when I came in, no music at all.. it felt very empty lol. Ordered their signature magical milk tea to just to try before anything else. I admit that is tea is very good and I love it! It let you to adjust the sweetness to "less sweet" and I still think is too sweet. It was weird that a boba shop that can't adjust the sugar level to zero, so I asked again and this time I was able to do it unsweetened! The worst of my trip was the popcorn chicken! They used chicken breast for their popcorn chicken, so dry ....... But why chicken breast !!??!! Then my 2 drinks ' top weren't seal correctly... so it got spilled everywhere .. so make sure to check it before leaving the store.. Overall, not bad. The milk tea tasted great, I was able to adjust the 0% sugar. Just the employees needs to be more knowledgeable of the drink and what they can adjust or not. The drink menu is thoughtfully categorized: milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, matcha, and coffee beverages. Like the drinks menu, the toppings menu as well as the fried snacks menus are aided by colorful pictures to help you imagine the yumminess you are about to consume. On both of my visits thus far, I had just come from having lunch with a friend and was ready to indulge in a dessert drink. The lady who took my order gladly answered any questions I had about the teas and toppings. So far I have tried the OG Viet Coffee and the Ube Taro smoothie, both modified to a 50% sweetness level and with light ice. I was so pleased with the quality of these drinks and would easily reorder either at a future visit. I have visited Moon Tea House with a different friend on two occasions, and they also ordered the OG Viet Coffee and were very happy with their beverages. One friend requested a 100% sweetness level and said the taste was perfect. My other friend chose a 50% sweetness level and thought the sweetness was just right. I visited Moon Tea House for the first time and I've never had anything like it! I tried the Red Thai Tea drink with 50% less sweetness and cheese foam. I looovvveee the cheese foam! It's kind of like when you sprinkle some salt on your hot chocolate and it intensifies the chocolate flavor and cuts some of the sweetness. The foam was creamy and fluffy and perfect with the red thai tea flavor. I also didn't realize that boba tea could be blended and that was really tasty. One of them Roseville gems for sure. The interior of this boba shop is extremely open. It almost feels empty. I can't help but feel like they could do more with the space because it could actually be a nice place to hang and catch up with friends over their delicious drinks. Moon Tea have the perfect menu size in my opinion. There's not an overwhelming amount of options like many other places, but they aren't limiting either. There's a good variety of different types of drinks anywhere from milk tea, fruit tea, coffee, slush, and more. They even sell snacks/appetizers! I have tried at least a handful of drinks from them, most from the fruit tea section. My absolutely favorite one is the Peachy Orange Grass. The cup it comes in is beautiful and aesthetics makes the drink taste better. Believe it. The fruity taste of this tea is unbeatable. It's also the fact that it taste like tea with fruits and not so much artificial syrup. The real fruit bits in there probably helps a lot. The downside to this is that it unfortunately does take up some volume in the cup, so I never feel like there's enough drink. Still, so worth it. The lemongrass adds such a wonderful and uplifting aroma with an added uniqueness to the taste that nowhere else offers. It will forever be my go to order even though I am willing to continue trying other ones from this place. They are good for it. Additionally, I enjoyed the Takoyaki (octopus balls) snacks. They're the only snacks I've tried so far and they're delicious. Moon Tea House also offers stamp cards that I no doubt, would've filled up over and over if I live remotely closer to Roseville. read more

I've been spoiled living in areas where there's a boba shop 5 minutes away in every direction and tried them all but for me a good boba drink only came down to 2 things: 1) can you taste the flavor of tea? 2) does the boba have the right texture and chewiness? I'm giving this place a pass. Tea flavor definitely came through for me and the boba was good enough. I'm probably not going to try all the drinks only because I'm basic and prefer plain milk tea drinks, but it's good to know I can get a milk tea here that won't be watered down or have boba that's over or under boiled. YAY!!! I finally tried this place after itching to try it every time I'm in this very well liked plaza!! Okay so I'm not a boba junkie (I wish I could be but the carbs in the boba do not sit well with my metabolism) HOWEVER, the Matcha Oreo Tornado........ 10/10, like the matcha actually pulls through!! (The regular sweetness is not sweet; so if you like sweetness definitely add to it!) the menu isn't specific in what is exactly in the drinks, so if you don't mind some surprises, give it a try. The ambience in this place - industrial and sleek. The drinks are pricer, but this place is definitely for the experience. This place is like the Nordstrom of bobas & that type of experience comes with some dolla signs!!! Like they even give you buzzers to notify you when your drink is ready!! Finally a milk tea shop in this side of town and love that they're open until 9pm, many close at 7 which is always a bummer. It's obvious they are still learning the ropes since they've only been open a couple days but here's some feedback to the owners: please include explanations on the menu! Us and everyone in line had questions since each drink had a cutesy name but zero explanation so it's unclear what anything is until you ask. They were also out of boba and which is disappointing so we opted for mini boba instead which is just not as good. We had to wait about 10 minutes for 2 drinks. New boba joint finally opened up in the Raley O-N-E plaza so we had to give it a try. First time, we ordered the 1. Signature Magical Milk Tea with sea salt cheese foam boba and pudding and 2. Golden Phoenix Milk Tea with boba - both 50% sweetness and less ice. Sweetness was perfect amount of sweetness one would expect with 50% sweetness. Ice was a factor...one had the perfect amount of ice to it despite being 50% and the other literally had no ice and came slightly warm. This was probably in part to them using a shave ice instead of ice chips or cubes you normally see. Not too impressed with the Golden Phoenix MT but Signature Magical MT was pretty solid, although this could have been because of the ice ratio. Overall, a positive experience considering they were less than a week in from opening day. Decided to order boba from there again a week later since we were already in the area this time ordered the 1. Signature Magical half sweet and regular ice (figured that less ice might potentially be too little ice) and tried the 13. Avocado Hulk regular sweet and ice. Oddly enough regular ice this time was literally no ice at all, which was rather disappointing. Avocado Hulk was lacking sweetness entirely just tasted like blended avocado. Might give them some time to work out their kinks before we give it another try. read more

The menu is a little vague with its description which made ordering a little more difficult. I ended up going the safe route ordering the herbal tea with moonlight boba. My bf also ordered a thai tea with boba. The wait as expected was long but I think it was worth it. The drinks were good but the boba was more on the soft side - not my fave. The herbal tea was good but basic and the thai tea was different from the classic as it had matcha in it. Overall, we liked the drinks but the boba could be better. However, it felt overpriced for what it was since it was just fruit tea with a few fruit pieces for decoration. Tried Moon Tea for the first time and we will be back! I highly recc the Ube Taro, have never really tried anything like it at another boba spot. I also ordered the Golden Phoenix since it was on the top drink menu. It was good and something to order again if I'm craving for a typical boba drink fix. Not sure if it's just me, but there is a notable quality difference in the taste of the drink compared to other boba spots like Quickly's or T4. Me and my friend came to Roseville yesterday from Elk Grove and decided to try it out. Great idea! The place looks very aesthetic and modern. We tried the peachy orange grass, which was really good.
