Got out of the car and we were rushed by the sales person, when I said we were just looking for a small tree he offered to give us a ride to the other end of the lot but then disappeared so we just walked down and looked at the trees. One thing to understand is that their prices include planting, however even factoring in 3 or 4 workers their prices are exceptionally higher than almost every other nursery we have looked at. They have a large selection of species and sizes, but the prices can be beat even if you have to pay for installation and delivery elsewhere. Depending upon the size and type of tree you are looking for they are about 2 to 4 times more expensive than other nurseries in the area. High prices and poor services if you are not ready to buy today make them and option only if you can't find what you want elsewhere. read more

I called spoke with Jae and I was impressed how pleasant he was over the phone so I showed up. Jae took me around the huge nursery showing me different plant trees to my specifics and price range until we got to the end, and there she is, Purple Leaf Tree! I love how Jae explained the type of tree and how it will blossom. The experienced was relaxing, calm and hustle free. He even allowed me to pick some lemons from their trees and gave me planting mulch and fertilizer. Selected the specimen tree and was scheduled for install. We spent thousands of dollars on trees and plants. Less than two weeks after Moon Valley planted two Giant Bird of Paradise plants in our yard charging us $300 per plant, they sent an email advertising the same plants for $99 each. I called to see if they would make a price adjustment but no one has called back despite my sending two emails, leaving a voicemail and speaking with the salesperson about it. They have completely disregarded my request and not one person has gotten back with me. They only treat you as a valuable customer when you're spending money, otherwise they can't be bothered. read more

The entire staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable and the property had a vast amount of beautiful trees to choose from. I'd called the nursery a few days prior and he informed me of a special going on (50% off!) for the Crape Myrtle tree I was interested in. He also provided me with his cell phone and said to text him when we were coming so he could help us out. (Talk about service!) Naturally, I forgot to bring the paper that had his number on it. So, when we got there, we were shown the various Crape Myrtle trees by Carter, a very helpful and informative nursery professional. Despite already being shown the nursery, Jae came out and introduced himself and made it his business to be as helpful as anyone could ask. He was extremely informative in giving tips on our sickly Palo Verde tree and took us back through the nursery to find the best Crape Myrtle. Had the best experience with MVN Redondo Beach and their installation crew! Jason and Joe at the nursery helped us with finding the right hedges for our backyard and even did an on-site home visit to make sure everything would turn out how we wanted, including the delivery/installation that is included in the price. They were easy to communicate with and made clear that they wanted our project to turn out the best it possibly could. We got a great deal during their Fall specials and they were able to guarantee our price for when we were able to schedule an installation. As for the planting itself, it couldn't have gone better. Michael checked in with us the week prior to make sure everything was in place, including the 811 dig check. The foreman Alex called 30 minutes ahead of time the morning of, and the whole crew arrived just before the arrival window, eager to get to work. They were able to accomplish 2 days' worth of work in one day! They dug up all the holes where our old trees were and were able to power through the old root systems of the old trees with no problem. They were careful with our patio surfaces and were able to work through very narrow spaces to access our backyard. They were very professional and worked independently, updating me throughout the day on their progress. They cleaned up after themselves and left a beautifully finished, watered product. Alex walked me through the final results and left us with instructions on how to care for the newly planted hedges. Their positive, can-do attitudes made all the difference. The expertise at MVN from start to finish was clear. We had such a positive experience that we are ordering more hedges to fill out the other side of our backyard!
