My driver(from GrubHub) was great, they delivered the order on time and as requested. However I was shocked to see the items were not in a bag. I reached out to the driver and they confirmed that that's how it was handed to them by the restaurant. I got a moon bowl, sweet potato potstickers, and the cauliflower BBQ wings. Half the potstickers were burnt black in the bottom, which I immediately smelled as I opened the container they were in. The other half tasted raw. It was completely unedible. The best thing of the cauliflower BbQ was the dip it came with. The actual cauliflower was soggy not crispy as advertised and completely lacking flavor. The Moon bowl was the best part of this delivery. I have no complaints about it other than the sauce I chose was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't. I am so torn on moonbowls. I order from here regularly cause I love the healthy options and when it's good, it's SO good.....but it's getting ridiculous and not making sense for me to continue being a customer. They NEVER get my order right and constantly forget to add the extra sauces I pay for and even forget the sauces that go with the dish. For example, forgetting the Korean bbq sauce on the BBQ cauliflower. So disappointing! Also, the quality control is hugely lacking depending on the day / who's working the kitchen. Tonight they effed up my order again and unfortunately you can't call the restaurant and have someone fix this issue. You call them and you get a call center and I was on the call for 18 minutes before the person trying to help me said she is having technical difficulties and has to call me back in 5-15 minutes. What a $#!t#013 Never again. This is "located" inside a community kitchen called "Daisy Diner". This is basically a food truck operation inside a brick and mortar building. The location of this place is kinda shady looking; but I get it. It's Long Beach and it's part of the vibe. For those prices, I would expect better. The "inside" is an open garage roll up door entrance with an order station. No one to take an order. It's all virtual. Welcome to a post-Covid world. There is a couple of small tables and a bar seating area in a narrow hallway leading to a public restroom. When I say bar, I mean a 12" shelf bolted to the wall, about chest high. Not exactly clean. The food was terrible. I had the orange chicken. The chicken nuggets were dry and hard. Difficult to chew. The rice was ok but without flavor. I ordered two toppings: avocado and basil. The avocado was the best damned part of the meal. I did a half avocado, sliced, for my two bucks. The basil was barely noticeable in amount and flavor. To top off the night, I waited 20 minutes for my meal. I never got a text notification, which I expected because they ask for your cell number. They also ask for your name, I guess that's a back up plan for the text. I got nothing. Butkus. I finally got tired of waiting and asked the "delivery driver" without a vehicle if he could check on my order. The idiot fumbled around for a couple of minutes and eventually said "oh, I guess it's ready". My order had been ready for 10 minutes but he forgot to call out a name. Food was really tasty, we had bbq bowl. What was not good is everything else. Automatic order system is not very intuitive (opposite of that). To keep it plain and simple, it's pretty good salad. There could be work around balancing some of the toppings (without additional add-ons) but otherwise it's really nice. Most of the bowls are balanced in flavor and have great quantities. The chicken was a bit dry but wasn't inedible, it has great texture and taste. One thing that surprised me was the roasted pineapple add on, it was a distinct smoky, savory, sweet aroma that was delicious. The Chia Pudding was unexpected, I've never had anything like it but it tasted great. Plain flavor, yet simply good so I'm eager to try their other desserts when I can. read more

My first time trying Moonbowls was yesterday, and i was very surprised by their KBBQ Cauliflower Wings. There were so much that i had leftovers still. This is definitely the saving grace of my meal. A bit pricey for 12 dollars considering a head of Cauliflower is around $3. I also ordered a bowl with their roasted chicken which was super dry and tough to chew. Also, it had no seasoning, which i guess i can give a pass since this is a healthy restaurant. The sesame tofu i got was okay. The sesame dressing was pretty good. The brown rice was tough and very dry. The dressing really didnt help. I would say that compared to On+On's bowls, id rather get On+On because their sides are very flavorful and their chicken has more flavor and juicier. The whole thing tasted delicious, savory, and filling. Every ingredient mixed with the others so well, and I'm not a huge fan of kimchee. The impossible meat was probably the best preparation I've ever tasted. For sure healthier than a majority of dining options in Long Beach after 9 PM (fast food). The single bowl came to $22 after 20% first order discount +tip. Without the discount, would've been about $27.... I'd order this at least twice a week if the price point was a LITTLE lower. $27 is a bit high for a single bowl, even with the extra add-ons.
