Country Breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and one biscuit with gravy. Delicious!

Moongate Cafe reminds me of the old time dinners my Dad used to go to that has lovely staff, good food, cozy atmosphere, and has been around 43 years (for a reason). You will always get an amazing meal quickly and made with love. The owners are really lovely people. It is not a fancy place on the outskirts of town but you will have a hot delicious meal! Give it a try!

    - an out-if-the-way location off 70E, this restaurant is best described as simple, clean and straightforward. Servers are kind and pleasant and food is diner inspired. They've been around awhile with a loyal local crowd.

    Steak fingers with brown gravy.

Those steak fingers! Nothing like it! Really enjoyed our brunch today. Service was phenomenal! My husband grew up here. When we pulled up, I was a little apprehensive, but as others have mentioned, don't judge a book by the cover. When you walk inside, it's charming and welcoming and the food is great! We will definitely be back!

All of our meals were good - and prices were every reasonable too - cost under $60 for 5 people. Very simple breakfast menu options and lunch sandwiches too. Classic hometown place, recommended for a nice quick breakfast spot.

Do not let the outside frighten you! Go in and eat. Get the hot salsa and guac to go with your basket of chips. Then get the steak fingers. Sure, their chicken fried steak is tasty and the Mexican food is too. But you want to get the steak fingers. I am a fan of the green chile queso on them but the wife likes the brown gravy. Ask on your 1st visit to get all the gravies to taste test. It's an honest to goodness diner with dinner rolls and salad with every playe dinner. Yeah they close at 3 daily. So ya gotta get there early. Service is awesone. Place is clean and homey. Go

One of the best breakfasts I had while visiting Las Cruces. High quality ingredients, premium sausage & bacon, homemade southern style biscuits. Friendly waitresses and old country atmosphere.

Don't judge this book by its cover. Owned and operated by the same man since the 80's, this tiny place is the gem you're looking for if you're a "greasy spoon" connoisseur. Green Chile pervades, as it should, because Hatch, NM, home of ALL green chile, is right down the road. The food is good and plentiful (and not a trade of quantity for quality). The waitress is one of those true professionals of the craft. No wasted motion. Efficiency balanced with the right amount of attention and care. All the other customers were regulars greeted by name, and we expect to be joining that crowd. We will be back!

Salads and my dad ready for them steak fingers!

A rustic little place that has a great breakfast! My favorite is the Quesadilla with potato, egg and bacon with green sauce on the side.

Looks cute but it closes at 3pm. We'll have to try it out another time. Giving 4 stars as a placeholder.

We had actually tried out a new place, and were gravely disappointed. Two words, "fake" "meat". So, yeah, with the nastiness of the previous place leaving us yearning for a good burger (other than those from home!), we were in the area after a long day of sports nearby, and decided to grab a couple of burgers. Again, it's not fast food. There were some disappointments, but not deal breakers... 1) The burger patty on my burger was about 2" x 3" It was pretty d TINY!! But...at least it was real meat, lol!! And THAT is what we went there for. The bun? These are homemade and usually very good. The top bun on my burger was hard as a rock. It was either stale to begin with, or microwaved after it was toasted. Not too much of a deal cus I'm low carb anyway, though I had planned on breaking my diet for what I already knew would be a tasty house made bun. So, I wasn't too put off, by having an inedible bun. As it was, the under bun was perfect, and toasted with garlic.... and I DID break my diet for this, which I ate by itself. This bread is tdf! So there's that! Since I planned on breaking my diet anyway, I went ahead and order fries. The fries were not greasy like they used to be years ago. But they didn't seem fresh either, like they were years ago. Not soggy, not bad. I'll let it pass. We don't like seasonings on our fries so we got them "naked", and they were actually pretty good that way. No salt, nothing (though I did, later on pour on some gooey cheese for some nice cheese fries). The burger itself was good. I got the mushroom swiss burger. I'm not so sure that the white goo on my burger was swiss though. I've never seen swiss melt into almost nothing like that before. Perhaps it was grated? Still, never seen gooey almost liquid swiss before. I think it was either "swiss cheese product" (white american cheese), or provolone or something. Would have been nice, like tdf if it had been real swiss cheese. The grilled onions, fresh meat, fresh bottom bun (lol) made this burger. Also, again, I appreciate that they put garnishments on the side. I just ate them straight up, including the giant leaf of lettuce. A good overall meal. So even if Voodoo disappoints in some areas, there's always a treasure somewhere, and it was an enjoyable meal. Take away from this... wish the buns weren't stale or microwaved. Wish the burger patty was a decent size, not slider sized. Wish the swiss cheese was real swiss cheese. Not even gonna say I wish prices were lower, that's a given. My burger with fries was over $15.

When I arrived there were several customers there ahead of me which led to a wait around fifteen minutes or so for my food as everything is cooked to order by one man. This food truck offers Philly Cheesesteaks, Chicken Phillies, burgers and fries, and burritos. There seems to be a surfeit of beef and chicken on the menu. There are few, if any, New Mex specialties. Prices are quite reasonable. After you order and pay a gentleman begins working at the grill to prepare your food. The food is presented in a styrofoam container and plastic bag. There are no chairs or tables to use so you drive away with your meal. Today I ordered their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It came on a fresh, but soft bun which failed to contain all the meat and veggies when I lifted it from the container. Although the lightly toasted bun was fresh and had good flavor it forced me to eat this sandwich with a fork...which was not provided by Los Sanchez Grill. I would advise purchasing a burrito instead of the sandwich unless you want to eat with your fingers. It must be said, however, that the food served out of the Sanchez food truck is high quality. And, you get a lot for your money. Lots of peppers, onions, cheese, and quality chopped steak filled the sandwich. It possibly could have used a bit more seasoning but this was one upper level Philly...despite the bun's failure to hold the food. This Philly would normally rate an "A" or "A-" but with the failure of the bun (which was in itself quite good in flavor and texture) I would rate the Philly at Los Sanchez a "B." Burritos I could see a rating of "A-." For the overall experience (not dining experience since there is none) I would argue that Los Sanchez Grill earns THREE AND THREE QUARTER STARS. Next time I'll order a burrito and we'll see. The food itself is high quality and deserves all the praise it receives.
