A beautiful gem sitting inside the hotel. Here at this restaurant overlooking Rockaway beach, we had the freshest jumbo coconut prawns with what we thought was mango pear then apple sauce but our server surprised us with it being a guava and apple sauce. It was really really good! Moonraker in Pacifica is such an underrated gem! The ocean views are unbeatable, especially from the clamshell booths facing the water. The views were amazing to sit at front row watching the ocean while dining. The ambiance with live piano, dimmer lighting, service, drinks, and food were all very delicious! We were celebrating our anniversary and they brought out a dessert with happy anniversary written on the plate which was so thoughtful. We got the calamari, oysters, clam chowder, cold crab (only complaint here was the quantity wasn't worth the $29) and the cioppino which was very worth it for all the scrumptious seafood they packed it with and I wanted to inhale all the broth. If you are thinking about going to Alexander by the Sea vs Moonraker for a special occasion, definitely go to Moonraker. Service, vibes, and value is way better. Great view, great service, food is good too! Nothing MIND blowing, but it was a good meal. Originally thought the portions were small, but was actually very satisfied after we were done! Went for my girlfriend's birthday and they provided a complimentary dessert which was surprisingly good. Good vibes, and costed just over $100 in total which was very fair. Only criticism I have is that the food took a bit long, and waiting for our check at the end took an extended amount of time. But our waitress seemed to be juggling multiple tables so it made sense. Had a family friend not given us a gift card, Moonraker Restaurant would've continued to fly under my radar. My group of four was seated at one of the booths directly facing Rockaway Beach, our view completely unobstructed through floor-to-ceiling windows. This magnificent panorama of the Pacific Ocean's rolling waves is the proverbial money shot. To share, we ordered a half portion of the Grande Platter ($58) which had a nice combination of raw & cooked seafood; Jumbo Stuffed Dates ($17.95), always a crowd favorite; Kobe Beef Carpaccio ($18.95); & Dungeness Crab Cakes ($27.95) that isn't worth a reorder in the off-chance that we dine here again. I had Dungeness Crab Cioppino ($45.95.) Tender pieces of rock cod were the standout ingredient for me, & the side of crusty bread was a spoon, of sorts, for the flavorful tomato broth. Moonraker's Tiramisu (~$12) was a good one & served in an adorable teacup. Though not great, the food exceeded my expectations for a restaurant with a beautiful view as its main feature, but I'm unlikely to return because as I've said, the food was not great. read more

A pretty nice restaurant that's located in a beautiful location in Pacifica. The views of this place are impeccable as you see the ocean waters from the floor you're on, and the food is pretty decent too. There was a live pianist playing the entire time so that also added a cherry on top. I came here with my family and we ordered plenty of things off the menu. We got items such as the oysters, mussels, kobe beef and sea scallops, seafood pasta, as well as these coconut prawns. I really liked the kobe beef and sea scallops and the oysters. The scallops were tasty and perfectly cooked and the beef was good as well. The oysters were pretty fresh as well even though they were all tiny ones. The coconut prawns and the seafood pasta were okay. The shrimp had great crunch but it could of been seasoned a little bit more. Same goes with the Seafood pasta as well. Definitely make some rezzy's if you plan on coming here. If you're looking for some pretty views definitely come stop by this place! read more

Wonderful view and walk later along the ocean. My boyfriend and I shared two good cocktails and the coconut shrimp appetizer. I had the lobster Mac n Cheese and enjoyed. The presentation of a small lobster tail topping the cavatelli pasta was fun. My boyfriend enjoyed the salmon with artichoke and other veggies. We shared a dessert of warm peach blueberry crumble. Breathtaking views, fantastic food and service! We took our neighbors here for their 50th anniversary they actually got engaged at Moonraker 51 years ago. We had several appetizers, calamari, coconut prawns, oysters Rockefeller, crab cakes and all of them were fantastic. Entrees are generous portions and tasted great the seafood choppino was greasy and flavorful. The lobsterMac and cheese is loaded with lobster. Service was great! I really enjoyed the food. The oysters were so fresh and yummy. We also got calamari and salad as an appetizer. My other family members got the seafood pasta which was a hit! I enjoyed my salmon a lot. It was cooked slightly over that's my preference, but it was still really good nonetheless. We also got the lobster Mac and cheese which was soooo good. The food was decent over all, we tried everything from soups, lobster macaroni and cheese, crab cakes, etc. and it was all decent but not life changing which was to be expected. We ordered 3 appetizers and by the time dinner came they had never arrived. When this was mentioned they were eventually brought out about half way through dinner. What I found interesting was that no manager ever stopped by to apologize or check in, then suddenly a comped dessert appeared (without the ice cream it is supposed to be included with) but I would rather have had the appetizer comped or at minimum have it discussed with me. Sending a dessert without checking preference or allergies is an interesting choice. We had already let them know we were in town celebrating a bachelorette before arriving, and I suspect an already comped dessert was used to cover up a mistake on a $300 bill. Personally I wouldn't recommend this restaurant based on that but to each their own! read more
