NY steak w fries

Food was beyond fabulous. Service even better. Nice music, ambiance was romantic and calm. Everything was great. Will definitely go back.

Food was savory to perfection the Crab cakes were amazing and if it wasn't for JEFF our server/Waiter he said to try it with the pickled seaweed which I thought it was just decorations. However wow it gave the crab cakes a crunch and savory taste. Next was the blue cheese bacon salad, that was a cold. Jeff said do the ribeye and im so proud of a great flavor this place has. If it isn't for the waiters to ask us what we want and how he gave us the details i wouldn't order the bad ass dishes. God Bless a great place like this!

It's hard to believe that it's been over 13 years since my frist review of Moonshadow Grille. Gone is the buffet but the quality never went away. This was the 3rd year in a row my aunt and myself had Thanksgiving dinner here. We both ordered the traditional turkey dinner $48. Dinner came with white and dark meat, stuffing, green beans, cranberry, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing and it included a salad (Soup was also a choice). Hot rolls and a delicious cornbread was brought out with butter and pumpkin butter before they brought out our salads. I love this place because they have been constantly great. The turkey, both white & dark, has always been tender, moist and flavorful. Everything else was great as well stuffing green beans and mashed potatoes. The gravy had a subtle garlic flavor. Both of use could not finish or food. We also had the choice of pumping or apple pie. Our server asked if we needed some to-go boxes and we said yes. We will be coming down for Christmas dinner. Last year we both ordered their filet mignon. It was so tender you could easily cut it with a spoon. As for their staff? Extremely friendly and helpful. Keep up the great work Moonshadow.

It was another New Year's Eve, and Diane and I decided to repeat here for dinner, and then view the movie "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" at the Brenden Theatres also inside the Avi Resort & Casino. Both were good choices. This time we began with a meaty Shrimp Cocktail, followed for me by a bowl of unusual Bacon Jalapeno Popper Soup. The soup was smooth and likeable when I ate it, but as I suspected I paid for it much later at home when the high spice level caught up with me. A good Spring Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing and excellent-tasting complimentary Cornbread & Butter rounded out the preliminaries. Then while Diane enjoyed an 8-ounce Lobster Tail served with Drawn Butter, I struggled to finish a special Surf & Turf selection consisting of a 12-ounce Ribeye and 6 Grilled Shrimp augmented by specially ordered Sauteed Mushrooms, Bearnaise Sauce, and Demi-Glace, along with a well-cooked Baked Potato with Butter & Chives, and a few Asparagus Spears. The steak was thin but definitely medium rare as ordered. And I was full after only consuming 3 shrimp. Nevertheless, I could not turn down a slice of Moonshadow Grille's famed 5-Layer Decadent Chocolate Cake. Alas, no ice cream was available this night, but Whipped Cream was substituted without any request by me. And the cake was again delicious standing on its own. The only discordant note of the evening was overcooked Steak Fries. They were replaced but still tasted dead and unfulfilling to Diane. Service by Jesse and his assistant was attentive and outstanding throughout the meal, with Iced Tea refills provided without any need to request them. And booth seating hovering over the main dining room floor was comfortable. New Year's Eve hats and bead necklaces provided by the restaurant contributed to a festive holiday atmosphere.

Such a cute place. Our server Kandy was very attentive and checking up on us. She was friendly and recommended the New York strip, which was really good. My chicken was good perfect .

Chef's Soup of the Day

We've dined at a lot of places in Laughlin and I must say this was one of the best ones; however, not worth the price. The ambiance is nice, small place, clean. You kinda forget you're in a casino. There is no restroom inside the restaurant so you have to go out into the casino. My husband ordered a lobster but it was a tiny lobster. We paid market price at $65 so not worth it. The chefs soup of the day was delicious. He also had the filet mignon with rice pilaf and asparagus. He enjoyed his food. My ribeye and asparagus were good. The baked potato was nothing special but it was good. They do put the topping on right in front of you: butter, sour cream, and chives. We had tiramisu for dessert. Wasn't the best but it was a big piece. I wish they had draft beers. All beers are bottle. Service was good and fast. We did make reservations.

2 fir $55 deal- NY strip, garlic mashed - thin steak, pretty good though.

We got the 2 for $55 deal. Overall pretty good. Meals seemed small but we left feeling full. Not every plate needs to be overflowing. Also came with a desert to share. Service was fantastic. Kind of bummed they don't offer cocktails. Only beer & wine.

Chocolate 5 layer cake, omg, we ate it all!

If you take kids, they will charge 18 dollars extra on top of regular plate price to split a plate. Ridiculous. Very rude service.

Fantastic. Cooked like it had something to prove. Juicy, flavorful, and honestly the kind of steak that makes you pause mid-bite and reconsider your life choices up to that point. But let's be honest--Pam Pam stole the show. Pam Pam doesn't just bartend... she commands the bar. Drinks don't get made, they get orchestrated. I'm pretty sure she made my cocktail with one hand, took three orders, solved a minor dispute, and still had time to roast me for not knowing what I wanted. Efficient? Yes. Intimidating? Slightly. Entertaining? Absolutely. At one point I'm convinced she knew what I was going to order before I did. I asked for a recommendation and she looked at me like, "You strike me as someone who thinks they want whiskey but really needs a margarita." She was right. I didn't question it. The vibe? Somewhere between a high-end steakhouse and a family party where the funniest relative is in charge. You're not just a customer--you're part of the show whether you planned on it or not. Final verdict: Steak: Drinks: Pam Pam: deserves her own TV series Would I come back? Without hesitation. Would I sit at the bar again? Only if I'm emotionally prepared. 10/10--come for the steak, stay because Pam Pam won't let you leave without laughing at least once.

Rob was our waiter and he is great! Most importantly, the food is delicious. The hot buttered bread is soft and absolutely yummy. I brought my family here last night, and they loved everything. The meatball vegetable soup was amazing--perfectly seasoned and not overly salty like so many soups can be. They also offer great dinner specials. I ordered the BBQ chicken with shrimp; the chicken was tender, juicy, and generously sized, and the shrimp were huge with a very flavorful, tangy BBQ sauce. My daughter's boyfriend had the steakhouse burger, which came with a very thick patty and plenty of extra fixings. Portions are large across the board--we all had leftovers to take home. This place never disappoints, and I'll definitely continue coming back whenever I'm in town.

We were allowed to sit and order drinks while waiting for everyone to arrive. Our server, Chris, was amazing. He was very prompt with our drinks, very patient with all of us. Even a couple of latecomers. He answered all of our questions and requests with a smile and courtesy. The everyone remarked about the great service, plentiful servings and how good (tasteful) our food was. The food stars tonight were the taco salad, prime rib and teriyaki chicken. Perfectly prepared and yummy. Prices are very reasonable for the serving sizes. Give them a try, you will be glad you did.

Since I knew that the Fish N Chips offered here was no longer All You Can Eat, I opened with an add on: a refreshing Side Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing. It contained several small cubes of tomato, and helped to fill me up, as designed. Our entrees arrived soon afterward. Besides Coleslaw that had a good balance of creaminess and crunchiness, and nicely seasoned elongated French Fries, the battered fish on my plate consisted of three large batons of very heat-hot fish that tasted great dipped in provided Tartar Sauce after application of a little lemon juice and malt vinegar. One of my batons was a little undercooked; the other two were perfect. Diane liked her Fish N Chips as well, plus the Fried Shrimp, but wished that her shrimps had been battered rather than breaded. Our server, Chris G., did a great job of waiting on us, and quickly fulfilled our requests for ketchup, malt vinegar, and in Diane's case Coleslaw removed from her plate. Even though I was pretty full at meal's end, I knew that if we had gone to an AYCE place like Black Bear Diner across the Colorado River, I would have downed at least one more filet of fish. The Fish N Chips offering here was quite reasonably priced, so Diane and I discussed putting in another order to split, and decided to do so. Thus, I called our server over and tried to put in the order. Alas, I was told that no more fish remained--but not to worry about making a belated request, because the cook had informed him that no more fish remained right after receiving our initial order. So we couldn't have had more fish even if we had tried to add a third helping with our original order. Next time I will arrive earlier in the evening!

Then we noted that the restaurant was within 30 minutes of closing. So, we quickly diverted to El Charro in Bullhead City, only to learn that it, too, was about to close. So, I turned around and headed here, even though OpenTable reported that no time slots were available. I dropped Diane off before parking, and she easily scored a table here. In fact, hardly anyone was seated inside the restaurant, and it did not seem like a festive Mexican holiday at all. The Tuesday Night Menu was very limited, but I selected very tasty and smooth Stone Guacamole not prepared tableside but including tomatoes, White Onion, and jalapenos, to go with house-prepared salsa and spiced up Tortilla Chips. By request Diane received a complimentary basket of non-spicy Tortilla Chips, as well as a Kids Cheese Quesadilla. Somehow this filled her up. I, on the other hand, ordered a Southwest Beef Burrito with added beans inside, and Roja Sauce and Queso on top. The burro was large, but I finished it, along with more beans, and included rice. Everything tasted good and washed down well with Diet Pepsi. Service by Brett was very good, and at least the decor of the restaurant had the festive feel of Old Mexico, in this instance without the camaraderie of fellow celebrants.
