Stopped in for a quick bite before church. Cute little location. The Cafe Madrid was very good, albeit a little too sweet for my taste. The barista also made an adorable bear out of the foam, which was a nice touch. The almond croissant was really tasty, not to mention filling. read more

The ambiance of this little coffee shop is to die for, it's artistically decorated with just enough charm to differ from the million other coffee shops in Seattle. I ordered a straight black coffee and the coffee was pleasantly brewed with nothing super bitter in the aftertaste. A girl next to me ordered a latte and she was given lovely latte art- a bonus! Pretty good cafe near Pike Place Market. It's a little loud inside and there are only a few 2 seater tables so maybe not the best place to meet up with friends or get work done. But it's quick and their Iced Horchata Latte is pretty strong. The workers were friendly and the drinks were priced reasonably. read more

I was attracted by their latte art and stopped by to grab a drink. They offered a wide variety of coffee and with different flavors. I tried the taro purple latte, which I have not see it anywhere else. There were three sizes to choose from, and went with 8oz. The latte art of my coffee turned out to be a cute girl, and the latte was good, a little bit sweet to me. The best latte I've ever had honestly. The matcha latte had so much flavor and so did the taro latte. When I get a matcha latte at other places it would only taste like milk. I've never had a taro latte and it was sooo good. Plus the latte art was a nice perk. Would definitely go again!!! read more

I really like this shop--they do the best latte art! I'm a fan of the Mexican Mocha. They offer a lot of food items and the tamales seem really popular. Service is polite and quick typically. Two words...Taro Latte! I've been lolol Longing to try this drink for such a long time and it was EVERYTHING I'd been hoping for and more. Creamy, not chalky or grainy and always the most impressive foam/foam art. If only it was a little more accessible to just drop in. I'd be here daily for this drink. But, both locations are bit difficult as far as parking is concerned, so it's better if you have some time or you're arriving on foot. This location is relatively spacious compared to the one located at Moore theater, not quite as quaint though. It's still nice. The decor is still precious. I love Moore coffee shop! read more

I came to this place during the past weekend. I am not a big coffee fan so finding a good cafe that serves good quality tea is important. This place impressed me with the just enough hit from matcha and the soft touch from the milk. You can also get fancy looking creme topping. The only thing I wouldn't rate it perfect is because the atmosphere. The cafe turned on the music that doesn't suit the relaxing and calm environment at all especially as people come to Moore coffee to sit down and relax or even do work. read more

We actually weren't aware that there was another location, so we were very surprised to see this one is not busy at all! The girls working there were sweet. We got a Mexican mocha and a cappuccino and they had some cute art on top! The flavors were alright. I was more impressed with the aesthetic of the coffee shop- so adorable and so nice to go in somewhere that's not too crowded. read more

Didn't get a hot drink for the art because it was hot outside and there were no seats available in the tiny area. Only a couple of tables. I did see a lot of the girls who were already at their tables with their coffee art, and they were very adorable. Ordered the cranberry breeze, which is a herbal tea and was that day's iced tea choice. Not overly sweet and had a strong taste of cranberry, my kind of drink. Friend got Thai iced tea, which was sweeter and creamier than what I'm used to when it comes to Thai tea. Want to come back later on to try one of their hot drinks! Great coffee and reasonably priced. Better tasting than others in the area, friendly baristas, and they also have good Snickerdoodles. I usually end up here at least once a day when working. Be sure to get the frequent customer card and every 10th one is free. read more

Thank you, sister, Charlynn for inviting us to the Gold Star and Military Kids Day at Miners Landing if not I would have missed out on the most thick, foamy, chocolaty, and very flavorful hot chocolate I had ever tasted by far. One sip of it, it brought me back to my childhood and thought of my homeland, the Philippines. Most of the hot chocolate I've had from other coffee shops and restaurants can't compare to this one for now. This had its own taste; each sip taste the same as my last sip (still thick & frothy from start to finish) and did not have an after taste at all. This is a little gem; the room is not as big but it is very cozy but at least the ceiling is high enough on the 2nd room. At first, the set-up was a little bit weird but then I realized it makes sense. The 1st main room where you take your order had about 3-5 chairs and then the 2nd room had more table settings and that is where your hot food is cooked/ where you pick up your order. I think there might even be a 3rd room but I wasn't really paying attention. I forgot what my sister ordered but it was amazing as well. I ordered the Strawberry waffle for my daughter and she loved it. The waffle itself wasn't extraordinary unlike their hot chocolate, it was just average but the thing that I did like about the waffle though was how soft, and not too thick it was at the same time had little crunches at the edges. It was perfect for Kikay. Right now, the whole building is being renovated from the outside but don't let that discourage you from coming here. The staff were super nice especially the cashier, she was super friendly; she was very welcoming and was nice enough to make a quick conversation with us. I cannot wait until I go back here and have that hot chocolate again and try their pastries and tamales, yes tamales!!! Haha.. if ever I am around downtown area, you will see my ass there. I think the pricing is just much too high. You're paying for the vibes, not for a great cup of coffee. The matcha we tried was mediocre. There are so many other great places for coffee in Seattle, for just a fraction of the price. I think Storyville is preying on tourists visiting the market. They probably have to charge that much to keep the 8 employees milling about behind the counter employed. The space does have lots of seating, but it was nearly full during our early afternoon visit. Save your money, find another great local coffee spot!

The matcha was of good quality and the banana pudding top was a smooth, cream top that tasted just like banana pudding, with a fun crunch in the topping. The hojicha ginger tofu was a bit more adventurous in flavor. The ginger and tofu messed with my brain and made it feel like I was drinking a savory asian sauce/soup, but the drink was still sweet. I kept sipping, but the strange savory/sweet limbo never really balanced correctly to truly enjoy the drink. On the plus side, the silken tofu was fun to sip through the straw and added some protein. There is seating indoors, but the tables can fill up quickly. Some people were wfh, but most were chatting. There is 1 hr complimentary WiFi. Typical Seattle street parking. Overall, the latte flavors were fun to try and it was an aesthetic cafe. But, the prices for the lattes make them more of a novel, hyped up purchase.

I noticed that they now pour drinks from a pre-made plastic jug instead of making them fresh like when the store first opened. I usually don't get sick from drinking coffee but twice in a row is pretty bad. Their drinks are also overly sweet and most of them do not have a 0% sweet option, which is usually what I order from other coffee and tea shops, and it's probably because most of the ingredients are pre-mixed. They also use thick plastic cups, considering that Seattle is a pretty green city and a lot of similar Vietnamese coffee shops use sustainable cups. Sad to say, but my time visiting this chain has come to an end.

The drink came together very well, the oat milk was creamy and the espresso was very rich. All in all, I think this is a cool place to work and catch up with friends. I might read or journal here, but depending on the day and the lighting it can get a little dim for that. I'd come back again.

It made the experience feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. As a local, I expect better consistency and customer care. For some reason, you get a much better experience both in service and quality at Victrola on 3rd & Pine in Capitol Hill & Pike. At this point, I don't plan on coming back to this location.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!
