Issac returned to trouble shoot what was causing the problem with our furnace, as this was his second attempt to address the issue. Issac is very polite and sincere in his attempts to solve the problem. He communicates clearly, it is obvious that customer satisfaction is important to him. Ron is a lifesaver. Murphy's law: your AC unit *will* go kaput when it's the hottest day in the summer so far. Ugh. (spoiler alert - AC unit is fine, it was just a blown fuse) After a power outage followed by a power surge from PG&E (ugh can't stand them) our smart thermostats went black. No power to the furnace. Ron came over and he was incredibly calm, informative, and professional. He checked the furnace first and indeed he did not see any power in side the panel (I never knew there was an led light in there to indicate power... learned something). Then he checked the external, separate fuse box controller (also didn't even know this existed). And BINGO.... blown fuse. He swapped it with a new T15 fuse and the furnace and thermostats powered up. While he was there, I decided to have him install a surge protected for the furnace since power outages/surges are becoming a lot more common these days (grrrrrr PG&E!). This way, if the surge protector gets fried it's only ~$250 to replace vs. having to replace the furnace! ($$$$$). Really appreciate Ron's recommendations. Very happy customer. read more

Our A/C was newly installed last year (by a different company). so you can imagine our consternation and frustration when we turned it on for the first time this summer during the first heat wave of the year, and it blew warm air after doing some due diligence online we contacted a few companies to see about scheduling a repair. The Moore representative was friendly and prompt and got us an appointment for the very next day. Shawn was assigned to our project and he came out on the early side of the work window. after some investigating he was able to determine that we had a refrigerant leak. He injected a UV dye that would reveal the leak location and returned the following week to do a recheck. He found the leak, diagnosed the problem and the cause, and what would be needed for a full repair. After ordering the new parts and correct refrigerant, he was back the following week again to do the install and function check and we were back in business We were very satisfied with the level of professionalism, the quality of the repair and the timeframe for repair. We didnt have to spend another day sweltering after Moore's first visit, and our A/C unit was correctly repaired in a timely fashion. Would highly recommend the folks at Moore for all your HVAC needs. read more

TLDR: My unit was installed 1.5 years ago now, and it is still not permitted because customer service will not return my emails and calls. I'm still waiting to see whether this will resolve. It's been 1.5 years since installation with no movement. I may have to take Moore to small claims court. I will update this review once I get a result either way. Long story: Oakland did not approve the electrical permit because Moore did some things incorrectly in the installation. Plus, Moore did not put in for the mechanical permit, just electrical. So we are back at square one...CRICKETS from Moore. I paid them in full because they threatened to charge me if I didn't pay within 2 days of the installation...but the job is not done. The unit is not permitted because (1) Moore did not do the job correctly so the inspector did not approve the permit and (2) they did not properly ask for the mechanical permit in the first place. Unfortunately, I am having the same customer service experience as Debbie K. and Wolfgang. It's pretty frustrating, especially when it comes to a potential danger that the inspector pointed out. I even asked Moore just to fix the parts that the inspector pointed out, and they did not. It's been 1.5 years (since March 2022). Ha! TLDR: And, in a deep dive to my email, I just found out that their customer service is ALWAYS terrible after the job is done. They just don't care anymore. They over charged me, didn't return my calls, then threatened a late fee. Long story: 5 days after the invoice, Titus told me "The office just emailed me to let you know that your invoice for the remaining balance must be paid by the end of the day today 4/4 to a avoid a late fee. Please pay it as soon as possible." My response: "I called last week when I received the invoice that I had a question and no one responded but maybe I can ask you. The remaining balance is supposed to be the balance you quoted: $17,458. However, the invoice is now $18,723. Can you send me an invoice for $17,458 so that I can pay that today?" And I did pay it that day. read more
