We had a really bad experience, we found this place on Yelp with "good" reviews and were really disappointed. First it was freezing outside and they put the air conditioning inside! Our waitress wasn't very friendly and didn't know what she had on tap, when we ordered beers, she left and sent back the bartender to say that they didn't have the beer. We decided to go to the bar directly to see what they had and make a choice. We asked the bartender for some other recommendations for beer and we ordered an IPA and an amber. We received two beer that were not corresponding with the order. So we decide just to let it go and place our order for the food. They had grilled wings on special we had 2 orders, the meat was uncooked. Our main courses were not tasty and small portion. Decent food. Looks like a sports bar inside but the food was better than I expected. Came here cause of the reviews. They didn't have appetizers which was strange....just lunch and dinner. They also don't have French fries. The side salad was just iceberg lettuce and tomatoes, but the ranch was good. Don't think the tea is fresh brewed cause it came out of the bar dispenser. First tip-Don't be dissuaded by the look of the exterior. The good stuff is inside not outside. When I got to town, I asked around to find out where I could get the best burger in the area. The unanimous recommendation was Moose Henri's. So I dropped by, met Cheryl and Dave, the new owners who took over in July this year. They're in the process of doing some renovations on the interior and so, no mark offs for ambience. They have a full bar which includes one of the best beer selections with a heavy emphasis on Arizona craft breweries. Yeah, you can get your Bud if you want. But, if you're into craft beers, you won't be disappointed. Let's talk about the food and, particularly the burger. First, I should mention that I'm a nut when it comes to the bun. Nothing frustrates me more with a burger than when after two bites the bun disintegrates. Moose Henri's has the answer down pat. You get the choice of a ciabatta roll or a less dense choice. I took the lighter choice and it lasted through the entire meal. Nice job! The meat is a full half pound of Angus beef cooked to your desired choice of done. And, it was delicious! It comes with the usual lettuce tomato and onion but they are on the side so you can pick how you want to construct your meal. You also get a choice of cheeses,in my case, blue. Also, a full array of condiments that you can add at your own discretion. There are a number of sides that you can select but, unfortunately, they did not have a deep fryer on my visit so was not able to get french fries. I didn't get a chance to ask the owners if that will be added in the future. All in all, great people, great food and a variety of menu choices. I visit Moose Henri's every time I come to Pinetop area about every other month. They are so friendly and I really enjoy their selection of Arizona craft beers on tap. They have a simple menu with no fried food. Everything I've had is fresh and delicious. I recommend their ceviche, quesadilla, any burger, their slaw and of course you must try the pig roast on Saturday one a month and the chicken wings on Sundays. Their location is small but i love the people, service and food. read more

My family and I ate at Moose Henri after a day in the snow. We got a pretzel with cheese that was amazing. The burgers were fantastic! Hubby tried the Mahi tacos, they did not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and get the mac and cheese as your side. Well worth the extra money. Service was great. We will be back next time we come to Show Low. read more

I would only come here for beer. The food left a lot to be desired. We had a burned hamburger, pork "wings" that tasted like they were smoked with cigarette smoke, realllly fishy fish tacos, soggy pink coleslaw. The Mac and cheese was ok. The atmosphere was rough too, the table had dirt on it from the filthy a/c above and I could see the toilet from my seat. I can't complain about the service, it was fine. read more

My wife and I ate at MH's for dinner on June 26, 2018. I had the Alaskan Sole, which was advertised to be "sauteed" and actually came lightly breaded and fried--not a memorable plate. The house coleslaw was lacking in flavor but I did have a good mocha java stout. My wife had the Salmon filet which was overcooked and dry. By far the best beer selection on the mountain. They do a great job keeping a good mix of beers from around the state, not just sleepy dog and kilt lifter. I love the mudshark quad they have on right now. I have not tried all of their food but every Sunday they have smoked wings with a few different sauces, I love the ginger soy and the bbq sauce they make. Their chili is also really good. Good food, friendly service, nice selection of beers. It is NOT fancy but what you'd expect a small local restaurant in the mountains to be. We got the kabobs - I got the chicken & my wife the steak. Plenty of meat on the skewer for both servings. My wife got the chimichuri sauce & I got the chipotle sauce. We both liked the chipotle sauce better but the chimichuri sauce was good, just too spicey for a whole meal. Our friend got the sole - tasty. I think that I wrote a less enthusiastic review a year or two ago because I found so little on the menu that wasn't loaded with jalapenos. Gave it another try this week for lunch with a friend and had a wonderful pulled pork "hamburger," excellent slaw and a cold Negro Modelo ALL without jalapenos and all good. I'll be back! read more
