Covid protocol as of August 2020: -able to order inside to place to go orders -social distancing markers in place -no indoor dining or outdoor dine in available -staff had masks and gloves -mask required upon entrance Food: -ordered the cheddar bacon burger for $7.49 this is a great choice for you meat lovers that aren't crazy about toppings but want a good meat burger. I on the other hand really enjoy lettuce, tomatoes, avocado so this burger fell a little short for me but still good nonetheless! -recommend the shakes! Probably the best shake I have had compared to all the other burger parlors in Irvine. The sizing is either a "little moo" or a "big moo" which I thought was cute and clever. The big moo in Oreo ($4.99)was delicious and perfect combo with a meaty burger. -Also thought the sweet potato fries were seasoned well and a great side. I liked how you have an option to order in three different sizes. We ordered family style and it was more then enough for two of us. -pricing is fair and reasonable Staff was also really pleasant and upbeat. I liked how you could see them cooking the burgers through the glass. Only ding is that they don't have a personal patio or do outdoor dine in for their restaurant. Went for a hotdog and burger towards closing time. I noticed one of the employees wearing gloves and handling food and than cleaning up and than continuing to work in the food area. That evening my wife experiences signs of food poisoning. I called and spoke with the manager and he told me it must have been from another meal and said food poisoning takes 24 hours. My understanding is you can get symptoms quicker than the 24 hours. He than proceeded to explain all of the employees have state food handling training. Seems like they might need a refresher. We hit this place once a week. The employees are friendly and efficient. They seem to enjoy working here. The burgers are fresh and made to order. The fries are crispy and not greasy. We usually sit outside and they always bring our trays out to us. It's usually pretty busy but never a long wait. I recommend the paleo burger and the mushroom swiss. Loved exploring this burger joint just because of the fun name and branding. Fairly simple inside with a limited menu sticking to what they do best, burgers. I gave this place a four because even though their burgers are tasty, the Pattie's always fall apart. It's like they intentionally smash it too much. I tried the Keto Cheese Burger (lettuce wrapped) and second time the traditional Double Cheese Burger. Their "ice burger" option is a keto version of any of their burgers, and tasted great with grilled onions and their "Mooyah" sauce added. What stood out to me were their fries. Finally tried MOOYAH Burgers with my family twice. We love their burgers. I love that they have mushroom Swiss burger....since there's no Five Guys nearby where I get my mushroom burgers from there. Everyone loved their burgers and thick shakes. I like that they have sweet potato fries. My only downside to MOOYAH is their fry oil. The oil must not be changed often enough. There is a dirty consistency to the sweet potato fries that comes from their oil frying. It's noticeable. So either cheap oil or not changed often enough. Otherwise, I love their burgers. I must have driven by this place a hundred times and never tried it because of the name. It's just not appealing..... I can't be the only one who thinks that!? My friend and I finally decided to give it a shot since we had already tried everything else in the area. I explained it was my first time and the cashier went through the basics with me. Super friendly! I never get turkey burgers because they're dry and gross but I'm trying to cut weight, so I did it. I got a combo so I could carb it up with some fries... the turkey ended up being super flavorful and juicy! They give you a ton of fries and they were yummy. The only thing is that i wish they would salt their fries a bit. Throwing salt after they've been out of the fryer doesn't allow it to stick. Also, if they offered sliced onions instead of diced. The tiny squares fall out of the burger. Overall, it was a fantastic meal though. I've already been back another time and this will be a regular lunch spot going forward. The food was better and came out fresh. We had the double cheeseburger, Mushroom Swiss burger, sharable fries, and the Oreo milkshake. The double cheeseburger was a solid good burger and the oreo milkshake was creamy and had lots of oreos mixed in. I also like how they use a potato bun. It's super soft and goes well with the meat. The Mushroom Swiss burger on the other hand was very bland. It felt like it was missing something like an aioli sauce or something to bring out the mushroom flavor. I've had a lot of mushroom burgers and this is by far the blandest. And the fries! The fries omg it wasn't as hot or crispy on the outside compared to other burger joints. Didn't taste fresh at all. Still tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp. They do give a lot though! Overall, the double cheeseburger and the oreo milk shake were the best. It is a step up from a fast food burger but it's not an expensive gourmet burger either. The burgers are served counter service too if you are in the mood for something less casual. I paid extra for swiss cheese and my toppings (all included in the price) were grilled onions, crispy onion strings, lettuce, tomatoe, and sauteéd mushrooms. Neither of us ordered any sauces (they were all standard and nothing special to us). We also ordered just 1 side of fries with one of the burgers. For a buck fifty more you can get a shareable try so I recommend that if you are in a group of 3 or more. 2 if you are super hungry! The burgers came out pretty fast! The meat patty was flavorful but on the dryer side. We had to add ketchup to it to add some flavor! So when you order a burger, be sure to add a sauce! Or at least some ketchup. The bun was fine, it definitely tastes healthy so if you are going for a genuine burger flavor I would suggest their regular burger bun. Went here for the first time yesterday and gotta day that this place is pretty bomb! I went with the build your own burger option with the 1/2lb beef patty. You get to pick your buns (bread type or even lettuce), cheese (for an additional charge), toppings (no limits on how many), and your sauce! I also got the shareable size of the sweet potato fries which came out pretty crispy. Overall, I was really satisfied with my meal. The burger itself was pretty filling and the ingredients were fresh. My burger ended up being pretty big so I had to compress it so it could fit in my mouth lol. The shareable size is good for 2-3 people, so I wonder what the family size is like. The price is very reasonable considering the ingredients and how everything is cooked once you order it. I will definitely be coming back here in the future. It doesn't beat out In N Out in terms of quality or price, but it does a pretty good job!
