I seen a ad online that said " FREE BURGER " when you download the app. I have never heard of this place before. Downloaded the app and went for it. I didn't yelp the reviews at all and I didn't have high hopes because I never heard or seen them. To my surprise this place was delicious. The burger is like an elevated in-out burger. Because you have different options to add onto the burger like fried onions, bacon, etc it really brought the flavor out of the burger. The fries are delicious as well. A little wilt and could use some extra time in the fryer but really good once I put them in the oven. The mooyah sauce is pretty much thousands island and it was good as well. The only complaint is that when we got the food it was luke warm. I didn't fuss because I was taking it to go anyways. But if I was eating it there I definitely would have ask for hot fries. Came to this plaza for dinner with some friends, and I'm the only one who wanted to try Mooyah Burger. The pictures look really good, but not a whole lot of people eating. They had a sign outside for their pretzel burger, so wanted to give it a try. Also go chicken strips and fries for my kid. The burger was about $12 and the chicken strips were $7, which is a disappointment when I finally opened the box to find how much food there really was. The burger was dinky! I would have rather eaten my kid's meat, 2 strips and fries a good deal. The burger was just okay because there wasn't many condiments, no veggies included in a $12 burger? I was surprised. The bun did taste sweet and pretzelly, but it was soft and missing any kind of crunch/texture. Reading the reviews now, seems like most people use the app or coupons. I could see maybe that will make it worth it, but if the other burgers are like this one, there's better value out there. Solid smash burgers, on occasion the buns do get overly saturated from the sauce. Next time I would ask for the grilled onions to be chopped, because some of my bites were clumps of grilled onions. This has become my new favorite burger place. It is consistently good and the service is good for a place like this. I usually go for the standard cheeseburger and it never disappoints. They always cook the meat just right; a little crust on the outside without turning it into hockey pucks. I still need to explore the many different burger flavors they have. As for comparison, I prefer Mooyah over the Stand or Hopdoddy, but I'd take a Shake Shack burger anytime. I just wish they had salads too. read more

Here's the real suspense: The debate rages on MOOYAH vs The Stand! The 2 local burger joints in the off Alton and Jeffery in Irvine locked in the eternal battle for the top burger in the area! Absolutely love their sweet potato fries here. They're perfectly crispy and sweet! Service is good as usual, even the guy that took my order over the phone was super helpful and friendly. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and I think that's going to be my go-to from here on out. My favorite thing about the burger here is the patty and the bun- soft!! Cheddar Bacon Burger $8.04 - 4.5 Stars - 1/4 lb Certified Angus Beef, Cheddar Cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Grilled Onions, BBQ Sauce, Potato Bun - SO GOOD!!! Not sure why I don't usually choose a Potato Bun but it was amazing. Their bun didn't look like traditional Potato Buns, it had more of a Brioche look and taste (minus the sweetness). Found this place a couple of weeks ago and back for more, personally I haven't gotten a "real" burger yet but my guys had them and they loved it. They want to try every single one on the menu. So far the Swiss mushroom, spicy Hot Dog, Indulgent BBQ...were all tasty. The fries are pretty good too. The shakes now are solid. What's not to like about a thick, creamy Oreo shake? Truth be told, I had to skip the burger for the shake because im counting calories at the moment. Last time, I had a "green" burger which was a turkey patty with teriyaki sauce and lettuce for buns. The employees always seem so happy. Always a great vibe. The food was delish. This special visit called for ordering the seasonal special -- Campfire burger and S'mores shake. So tasty, flavorful, creative, unique and memorable. I invited my Yelp Elite friend to join me. It was her first visit, and she loved it too. My only criticism is to please keep up with keeping the outside eating area pristine. The inside tables and chairs were clean but the ones outside were not. This is attracting bugs and birds which makes the dining experience unpleasant. Keep in mind that there are some of us who are not going to be eating indoors for quite some time. I finally tried this location, which I've heard about for years. It was half empty on a weekday afternoon. I love the ability to customize everything - the bun (or not), the type of meat, the toppings, etc. I had a lettuce-wrapped beef burger with grilled onions and their special sauce. It was delicious, and definitely tasted fresh and made to order. I see everyone getting fries in the restaurant - I didn't try the fries on this visit, but I'd love to return and try different toppings and see what else they do well here. The ambiance inside the restaurant was simple and great - lots of wood decor, and clean looks. The fact that I'm looking forward to a return visit says a lot to me. read more

We stopped by the Irvine location on a recent Saturday afternoon for lunch. We were very excited to eat here based on all the reviews and the Mooyah website. We all had reviewed the "secret" menu on the website prior to our arrival, since it does not seem to be posted inside the restaurant. We were warmly greeted by "RonC" who patiently answered our questions and guided us through our first time ordering experience. My wife and son both ordered the Cheddar Bacon Burger ($7.74 each) and I was eager to try their Hamburdog ($10.04) which included a 4 oz. Beef Patty and a 4 oz. Hotdog. We also ordered one each of shareable Fries ($3.99) and Chips ($3.09) along with two Big Moo shakes ($5.19 each) and a regular soda ($1.99). After a short wait our order was called out. Due to the relaxation of Covid-19 standards, we were able to eat inside the restaurant: they also had two or three small tables outside as well. My son and I went to the counter where I was very impressed on how they bagged and organized our dine in meal. The burgers were labeled so we knew which one was which; in addition our order was being double checked and verified as we stood there and all the contents of each bag being explained to us. We brought our order back to the table and dove in. We all enjoyed our burgers. They were all decent burgers but nothing about these burgers would encourage us to drive 60+ miles to come here again. My only minor complaint was the fried onion strings were pre-fried/cooked way before my burger was assembled. They were not fried to order. One can see the piles of pre-cooked bacon and onion strings set up like mise en place items. The fries were decent but the home made chips was our favorite of the two. The milkshakes were good but nothing that I would say are extraordinary as far as milkshakes go, especially for the price for what appears to be a 12 oz. serving cup. Mooyah burgers are up there with some of the best you can get in Socal. They have quality meats and ingredients and quite the selection when it comes to menu.
