    Cavatelli al Ragu

Great experience here! My friend and I walked in hoping to get dinner and eat outside. We were seated right away and had great service the whole time. I had the cavatelli al Ragu for my meal and thought it was pretty good. The sauce was good and it was a nice portion with a good spice from the chili. We also shared a bottle of their wine which was great. It was perfect vibes for a summer night and very lively and fun.

The wagyu was great, pretty much melted in your mouth. The bread you get at the beginning was incredible, we had to get two baskets. Very soft. The bolognese was great as well, covered in sauce. I could eat that over and over again.

We had a great experience for a girls dinner at Morandi! Our waitress was wonderful and she answered all of our questions, and recommended a wine for us. The pasta was very fresh and the octopus appetizer was probably my favorite bite! The restaurant itself was very large but some of the tables were a bit tight. They also have outdoor seating options. It was also easy to book a last minute reservation, so it's a great option when you're looking for something on a Friday or weekend. I would definitely recommend Morandi for someone looking for a reliable Italian spot in the West Village!

My wife and I ate here on a Tuesday night before a show at Village Vanguard. If you are looking for an intimate dinner, this is not the place. It was bustling with activity and very crowded. The tables are very close together and if you are a party of two you will definitely get to know your neighbors. The decor made me feel like I had gone back in time. The wooden beamed ceilings made it very rustic with a great old school vibe. The service was excellent. Everyone was so pleasant and attentive from the moment we sat down and throughout the whole meal. Kudos to the team! Most importantly the food was outstanding! First the bread, which could be the best bread brought to any table that I have ever sat at. Crispy crust with a light and airy center. I could eat a whole loaf myself. We then had the mussels which had a subtle, but very flavorful broth. Along side it was more bread which was grilled and perfect to soak up that amazing broth. My wife loved the broth so much she was drinking it like soup. We then had the branzino, lemon pasta and broccolini. The fish was light and perfectly cooked and had a unique sauce with olives and citrus. It was savory and slightly sweet. I've never had a sauce like that before and found myself wanting more. The lemon pasta was so flavorful and scrumptious. The lemon was pronounced, but extremely well balanced with the cheese and the freshness of the handmade pasta shone through. The garlicky broccolini wonderfully completed our meal. All in all this is a place is one that I would come back to over and over again. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and our meal and was the perfect start to a great evening.

So so pumped that I scored us a reservation on our weekend trip! Morandi was so much more than I expected. First of all, it's stunning inside. The old brick and the oil wall are beautiful. It was very clean for being a super busy NYC restaurant. Our service was great, proactive and efficient! Our meals also wonderful: I had the lemon spaghetti which was absolutely delish! The perfect amount of lemon without being tart. The hand rolled noodles were perfect! Our friends had the tagliatelle bolognese and the ravioli. Every dish was packed with flavor. We absolutely loved it! They brought out an adorable ice cream cup for my girlfriend's birthday, we were celebrating! It was the perfect night! Thank you Morandi! Bravo!

5/5 for service/ location and 3/5 for food and ambience. We went on a Saturday night. Heads up it was incredibly loud & our table was a bit too snug against the other ones causing a server to accidentally hit it and move it a foot in one direction. Not ideal, but space is limited. Both of us really enjoyed the eggplant and that was by far the best dish. Unfortunately, the pasta lacked flavor and itself was a combination of overcooked and undercooked? Hard to do. Javier (our wonderful server) noticed that we had left most of the pasta. Unprompted he told us that it was new to the menu and immediately offered to bring us something else. Appreciate you! Bc of that, I would definitely be willing to come back and give the other dishes a try.

What a cute little Italian spot in the east village! The service here was on point and they kept my wine glass full. Enjoyed the vermintino wine! The food was decent - the carbonara was my fave dish (we had a family style meal) and the dessert was good as well. Will try to stop in again on my next work trip.

Great place and the waiter Javi was an excellent server. It definitely gets busy here so make your reservation! Food was great and drinks were ever better.

This would be a 3.5 for me. I had high hopes for Morandi but I was a little disappointed. The food is good--but for the price, I feel I should be a bit more blown away. Everything tasted fine -- except the breakfast sausage was a bit odd. It was marketed as chicken breakfast sausage but definitely tasted like chicken apple sausage. Plus the texture was a bit odd. The service was overall pretty good -- very kind staff. But, our server did forget to put in our appetizer and we never recieved it. The vibe of the restaurant feels upscale but not pretentious. Overall, it was a fine experience but I I'm not sure how often I would return.

I came here with some of my coworkers for lunch. I had the octopus, which was grilled and served with a pea purée. The octopus itself was cooked really well, but I thought the components of the dish were all a bit random. My coworker and I also split the torta torinese for dessert, which was very rich, but good. The inside of the restaurant was beautiful and the service was good, but I didn't think the food was special enough to warrant the relatively high prices.

Pretty solid place for Italian food. I ate my entrée so quickly. I didn't even have the chance I remember to take a photo. the appetizers were definitely delicious. We got the fried calamari shrimp and fish. And the Crudo. Both were delicious not lacking flavor. Our waitress was amazing, she let us know all of her recommendations and the specials for tonight, and made sure glass remained filled the entire night.

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

There are lots of other tart places that do something sinilar and didn't really think these were that memorable. And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
