Came back for seconds, and it just doesn't disappoint. I tried the Mori bridge this time and the lunch combo H again, and the quality is unchanged. The fish cuts are all so thick and fresh and the nigiri's are the same and consistent. I tried the scallop hand roll this time and it was fresh and the seaweed is crispy. I hate when a hand roll is soggy and the seaweed turns soggy but the quality and fish flavor is just so good for the price tag.

Order a tuna roll, spider roll, yellowtail roll, eel roll, and fried vegetable tempura. Plenty of seating and quick service. Fish is pretty fresh. Good family restaurant and plenty of parking.

Cozy local Japanese cafe with good selections on the menu. Go during lunch or early evening for specials. The food is reliable and consistent - I know that what I order will be delicious and hot each time.

Super good but small Japanese restaurant one of two in this shopping center. We waited 5 minutes instead of an Hour for the other restaurant. Great large menu, and excellent service. we may not ever go back to the other place again. They only have 13 tables of various sizes, mostly booths so I don't know if they reserve, we just go a bit earlier or later on the weekends to avoid prime time.

    Very nice staff.

Very good service and surprisingly perfect food. The place was a bit run down but very intimate inside. We will certainly go back if we are in that part of town. A very unexpected food experience. We needed a place to eat in a part of town we don't usually go to. We were surprised how fantastic and fresh everything was. We have some sushi, soup, gyoza and edamame. It was all great. Service was excellent and attentive. The atmosphere was quiet and intimate, just felt a bit run down.

Really fresh and high quality sashimi! I went twice in one day because it was so good. Their first time I got their lunch special. I would definitely recommend this because it's really worth it. I had 7 pieces of nigiri and a hand roll for $12. For dinner we had the sushi bridge, caterpillar roll, veggie tempura, seafood udon, sashimi combo, spider hand and salmon skin roll. I really liked the salmon skin roll and thought that the nigiri was super fresh. I would definitely come here again!

I've been coming here with my parents for over 10 years now. It's definitely our #1 favorite place to eat in Houston as the food is always consistently delicious! Highly recommend the love boat, crunch roll, & miso soup. The sashimi is always really fresh! All of the dragon rolls are also very yummy. Definitely try them all! The server was also very sweet & she made sure that our cups were full of green tea. I also like the cozy booths and the beautiful decorations. I love this place & I have so many great memories here :)

Always the best neighborhood family Japanese Sushi restaurant. Reasonably priced. Sushi rolls are fresh and they do not drown it in Sushi rice. The waitstaff are so nice and attentive. We love em. Sushi chefs are awesome. Fast too.

The restaurant is small and clean. Food was pretty decent for the price. They have lunch menu which is good value. Service was good and fast. Chirashi don was a small bowl. The katsu don was a good size. Lotsa meat and rice.

First heard about this place on Mori Povich. If cheap sushi is what you want, this place is a pretty good destination which is both affordable and tasty. It's not the best or cheapest Sushi, but it's far from the expensive crap that you get in the trendy areas. So I definitely recommend it, and both of us enjoyed it.

He's been telling me about this place for a while, so I came in already expecting great sushi, and it definitely delivered. First off, they have all-day happy hour, which is always a win. We started with the yellowtail sashimi, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful such a great way to kick things off. For drinks, he ordered a Legend Old Fashioned, and I went with the lychee martini... and yes, I had two because it was that good light, slightly sweet, and super refreshing. For our rolls, I got the Hot Momma roll and he had the Julie Crunch roll. Everything came out perfectly fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they put care into both the quality and the experience. Also, shoutout to Emilio he was so sweet and attentive throughout the night and really made the experience even better. Between the food, drinks, and the overall vibe, this place checked all the boxes. I can 100% see this becoming one of our regular date night spots going forward. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for great sushi and a relaxed atmosphere!

Our server came to check on us quite a few times in the beginning to check if we wanted to order more but we didn't even receive our first order of food yet. The ice cream came right away but then we waited another 20 mins when our waitress came back again and we had to ask her about the oreo. After that.. She had us wait for another 20 minutes for the check and I had to call the server from the next section to get our check. I've watched another section served by a different server who was very attentive and brought their dishes out right away when they would order things after us. It was disappointing.. Food is good and I like their many options. I wouldn't say it is the best but the fish does taste fresh. Many of their rolls contained the wasabi sauce which my partner wasn't a big fan of. Many of the rolls tasted like it was drowned in this sauce. I didn't get to take a picture of every order. The lo mein was not good, I'm not use to having lo mein with the noodles they make it with. Overall, I can see why this place is very popular but it won't be my go-to for AYCE sushi compared to another place that I like more that's nearby. I don't think I'll be coming back though as I was very displeased with the service.

They do have quite the array of sushi offerings but not the other options like I'm used to with the other all you can eat restaurants. The food was decent I would say my favorite was any of any of the salmon dishes that I had. Just absolutely melt in your mouth scrumptious. Yum. But, sadly nothing else really stuck out. I'm a sucker for a good seaweed salad but the seaweed salad was entirely too salty. Which, I've never experienced before. All the other options are pretty mediocre and this place doesn't offer the social media discount either, so for me not jumping up and down with amazing flavors in my mouth made me feel like it wasn't worth the price point. I don't know. I'm not saying I would NEEEVER come back again but it's definitely not going to be a place where if I want all you can eat sushi I will think of it first. The place is actually pretty inside. And they even offer you kimonos to wear for pictures or social media or even to wear as you're enjoying your dinner. I thought that was cute. The fish was fresh, the restaurant didn't have a concerning fishy smell, it was clean and nicely decorated with plenty of space for patrons so we weren't on top of each other. One of my guests ordered the wrong roll, and he was very patient and kind, and he talked through the different rolls to make sure the one she wanted was exactly what she was looking for. He made suggestions and took his time, and he treated her with respect and care. I was truly impressed! While they don't offer lakeside seating, there are plenty of options inside the spacious, two-story restaurant. On the weekends, they indicate "No lunch AYCE" - don't be confused by the wording like we were. This only means that they don't offer the "lunch price" AYCE on the weekends. No biggie, as the dinner price/menu was perfectly fine and opened up more options for us to order. Lunch price AYCE does not offer sashimi (nigiri only), whereas dinner price AYCE has the whole menu as fair game. Some of the menu items do have limits, like the toro (1 piece/adult AYCE). Additionally, each person can order a max of 10 nigiri or sashimi per round. You also only get 1 serving of dessert per AYCE. They also have a silly rule of $0.50 per uneaten rice for nigiri; I suppose this encourages folks to fill up on rice in the nigiri, as sashimi is not an option during weekday lunch AYCE. Our party of 5 ordered a multitude of items on the menu. The fish quality was definitely there and everything tasted fresh. We ordered a few rounds of the seared nigiri, specialty nigiri, and sushi towers. Standouts were eel/unagi sashimi, crunch garlic & scallion salmon nigiri, seared Kobe beef nigiri, seared tuna nigiri, and seared yellowtail nigiri. These were the ones we ordered multiple rounds, but we made an honest attempt to at least try as much of the menu offerings as we could. If only our stomachs had more room! I will say the hot/cooked items (bulgogi, galbi, beef skewer) could have been better...but what can you say, this is a sushi restaurant. That doesn't speak for all of the hot items. I really liked the basil chicken nuggets (Taiwanese popcorn chicken) and vegetable tempura; the shrimp tempura was also a hit at the table. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive throughout our time. At times we'd forget what we had ordered of the many items, so he'd swing by the table once the food was brought out to tell us what's what, and who ordered what. Excellent service! For AYCE sushi, Oma is definitely on top of its game. I've been to a few others around Houston, and this one stands out as one of the premium ones in my opinion. The service was quick and friendly. The place was very clean. They played a video on a screen that we were facing that had a first person view of walking through Japan...probably Tokyo. This looked like legit matcha rather than just tea bags in hot water. For the meal, we had tonkatsu ramen and the spicy duck ramen. We loved them both. The tonkatsu wasn't fried in a batter. It was good, flavorful, and had a nice spice level but it wasn't wowing. My boyfriend and I shared the General Tso's chicken, and that was a 10 out of 10. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. It came with white rice and everything paired really well together. This is the second place I've gone to that has great General Tso's chicken, and that is definitely a compliment. I would absolutely order it again. We also tried the "Honey moon" appetizer which is a stuffed jalapeño. It had crab and cream cheese with eel sauce. The jalapeño was too crunchy for me, my preference is to have it softer but I feel like the flavor wasn't really there. One of the standout appetizers was the beef tongue from the appetizer menu. That was a 10 out of 10. It came with a sauce on top that was really good and brought everything together perfectly. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer as well. The shrimp itself was decent, but the fried coating tasted like the oil wasn't very fresh. It was crunchy, but the flavor of the oil came through, so I'd rate that about a 5 out of 10. We also ordered fried calamari . I'd rate that around a 6 out of 10. It was okay, but when you bit into it, the octopus would slide out and leave you mostly with the fried outer crust, and the crust itself wasn't that flavorful. The ambiance was beautiful, very clean, modern, and nicely designed. It felt comfortable and well put together. Service was fine, nothing that stands out.
