They were cheesy with a nice cheese pull, battered nicely and served piping HOT! The marinara was really good...not too sweet, not too tart, but a very nice light balance. I did ask if they were homemade (sooooooo hard to find homemade) and they weren't, but honestly, one of the better ones I've found. I had the house salad which was very fresh - didn't taste like bagged mix so if it is... it came with olives, cheese, zuchinni and radish and served with either a feta dressing or Italian. The feta dressing was light and tangy and not overpowering which was nice. My entree was a small pizza with mushrooms and olives (green and black). In the future I'd request it well done to get the crisp on the bottom, but the dough had a nice chew and good flavor. They also have a Sicilian pizza which is a thicker crust. They have basic pasta (spaghetti, penne, angel hair) and marinara and Alfredo selections. Again, this isn't fancy schmancy...it's down home style fare. The place is a cluster and Aramark just makes it worse. Wanted to go there for breakfast this morning and called the number on the website yesterday. Its answered by a reservations person at Aramark who knows absolutely nothing about the property. When I ask what they have for the Saturday / Sunday brunch which is listed on their website, he has no clue. He digs around a bit and confirms that yes they do have brunch but he can't tell me what they have since he has no access to a menu. This morning I search and find a phone number for the actual location. Every extension I try ends up with a message. This was at 9:30 and the website says they serve brunch from 9-1. One of the options is for the store and the message says "We have changed our number please call us at ______" Wouldn't you think they could update their phone system to patch you through to that number in the first place? I tried Aramark again and this person said he didn't know whether they had brunch but they did have a store for grab and go items. Well we were going that way anyway so we decided to go by. Got there about 11. Nothing was open. Not the store. Not the bar that was supposed to open at 11. The restaurant was locked tight. How can you not even know when you are open or what you serve? Can't believe any business would be that stupid. Very sad. Been going to this place for 30 years and it could be so cool but it would take a little effort.
