Not bad! The service is good, but I don't like how cramped the place is. This place reminds me of Bill's Cafe back in my hometown of San Jose. Similar dishes, but the prices here are much more affordable and the portions are just as big (maybe even bigger than Bill's) and most importantly, delicious! I am a fan of their benedicts. I love Morning Thunder! It's a Chico breakfast staple with its great food and huge servings. You can't go wrong here. I have been going to morning thunder for years. their food is really good but sometimes the servers are unfriendly. I understand the running around like chickens with their heads cut off . But if I am ordering food out. It would be nice to have good customer service. The Last time I got food there, I called in a order 30 minutes ahead they told me 10 minutes and it still wasn't ready when I got there 35 min. Later. It's took another 10 minutes for my order to come up. The waitress that help me ran past me barely said a word and I just stood there waiting for another 10 minutes. My order still wasn't right. At least the person at the register was friendly and apologized for mix up. read more

The best place for breakfast in Chico. They have a wide variety of options and are very flexible if you want to personalize a certain item on the menu! The staff are very friendly. I love seeing almost the same workers every time I go in. It only gets a little confusing because the servers wear regular clothes like the rest of us. Best breakfast in town, however not worth the wait and following the waiting process (signing a wait list) when the people who came in behind you, order first, get served first and get to leave 20 minutes before you. This place is cute, but really nothing super special. I'll take it over most diners and cafes in the area, but it's really not worth the wait you almost always get on weekends. The bagel sandwiches and muffins are pretty good, but most of the other omelettes, eggs, meats, and bread is just your typical breakfast place stuff. Loved it! I am a pretty harsh critic of bisquits and gravy and have nothing but praise. I can only imagine how fattening the ingredients are to make the gravy that creamy. Potatoes were good as well. Love their sunset sandwich (or I think that's what it's called)? Lol bacon, cheese, avocado, and fries or another side of your choosing. You wouldn't think this combination to be super different or amazing, especially with all of the different breakfast options, but it's pretty damn good. This is my favorite place in Chico for breakfast. Cute diner type restaurant with a homey feel. Many locals seems to be frequent visitors (seeing as how you can leave one of your coffee cups for them to hang on the ceiling awaiting your next visit). I've ordered quite a few different dishes and I've had the same conclusion about them all: delicious. The poppy seed French toast was oddly great. The sausage comes in large servings and is well seasoned and scrumptious. The huevos rancheros (large servings) was very tasty. They have many options for people who are vegetarian/ enjoy more refined eats. I've always had great service here. Expect a little wait on the weekends. it was a first time to try this place, we saw some great reviews. but i am kinda disappointed . my son and i ordered the 3 egg omelet, egg was over cooked, tasted and looked dry. the avocado on my omelet doesn't taste good and looked dark . sausage on my sons omelet was also dry.but service was alright maybe a 3 star. also place just get too noisy when its packed. i dont we will come back to this place. read more
