The food was good. However, the way they treat their customers is horrible! We visited the area for a day and wanted to try this place for breakfast. I was pressured into tipping after waiting in a long line for 20 minutes, even though I had to serve myself, bring my own food out, find my own table, and clean up after myself. After the forceful tip, I instantly realized that I forgot to add macaroons to my order, I kindly asked to let me pay for a box 5 seconds after my transaction. The lady told me to go to the back of the line and start over. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? I will NEVER come back to this place, and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Edit per restaurant's response: The question you should ask your customers is "would you like to leave a tip" not "how much tip would you like to leave: 15%, 20% or 25%". Also the next person was not ordering yet by the time I realized I forgot to order macaroons and with 2 small children in hand obviously doesn't make sense to wait another 20-30min in line. read more

Great little coffee shop in Kennebunkport, with vegan milk substitutes, but no vegan baked goods. My wife and I took a walk this morning to visit this quaint coffee shop. Decorations are eclectic and fitting, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We were disappointed to learn they had no vegan baked goods, which we had interpreted another Yelp review to imply. Nonetheless, there was a plethora of store bought vegan treats to enjoy. There were milk substitutes for the drinks in the form of coconut milk, soy milk and almond milk. We opted for almond milk and had a well whipped pairing of Bourbon Caramel and Creme Brûlée cappuccinos....both were wonderful with a little bit extra sugar. This is a nice, cosy, comfortable little place on a cold, clear New England morning. The service only exists at the counter...sorta like McDonalds. The servers were friendly but they stay behind the counter and that's it! So, we had very nice coffee, very good quiche and a nice croissant and we sat at a very pleasant window seat where we met another fellow Aussie. It's priced well, and what one would expect for a downtown bakery cum coffee shop. The only disappointment concerns the tip. As I mentioned, there is no beyond the counter service and it's pay before you sit down. That's fine, except they expect a tip at that end of things. This is a little exploitative as we tip following the meal and the service...otherwise it just becomes a privately imposed tax, and no one should submit to that. The line took forever to snake through this little coffee shop in a house. When we finally reached the counter we ordered lattes. They were both decent, but the flavor profiles weren't as expected. There was a Mainer latte which was supposed to be maple and blueberry, but the latter flavor was nearly completely absent. They also had lots of bakery and sandwiches on offer which I didn't try. Location is excellent. Food is flakey and light (in a good way). I loved the little gift shop area of jams and coffees, and the variety of macarons. There was no menu anywhere though, just a sign outside saying "breakfast sandwiches, pastries, teas" etc. so we basically had to ask a lot of questions to find out the types of breakfast sandwiches and drinks available. We were in town for a wedding and this was a perfect, next day brunch spot. The line gives you time to think about what you want to order and peruse other goods. There were tables out front to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and didn't need to wait. You wait for your order inside and take it outside to eat. Good iced coffee (order with your fixings) and I'm a huge fan of the cheese crust on the cheese and sausage sandwich! We're definitely coming back to try the baked goods. We picked up macarons and baguette sandwich for lunch. While both were good the macarons are baked in NY so you can tell they aren't super fresh but they did taste great. We came to Kennebunkport for a V-day weekend getaway. Read good reviews so we stopped at this cafe for our breakfast. What a disappointment! The barista didn't secure the cup's lid when she handed us the hot coffee. So when I took my first sip, the hot liquid spilled all over my thighs since I was seated. My boyfriend got paper napkins to help me dry. When I told the cashier behind the counter that they must be careful, I got a very nonchalant response "oh, I'm sorry" and she went about her business and chats behind the counter. None bothered to move from behind the counter to see if I were hurt, if I needed anything to dry my pants, nothing! Or offer to give me a new coffee? No! I used to own a cafe in Manhattan. I know if my staff ever cause harm to a customer, I will not let them walk away the way it is! This place needs some real learning on customer service. Maybe I'm from out of town? Maybe I'm the only Asian woman in this place? They couldn't be bothered to check how this hurt me. It's Covid time, and we certainly try to do our bit to support the F&B businesses. Stopped in for coffee and breakfast. We were disappointed in the breakfast offerings as it was really just pastries. My boyfriend and I got a chocolate croissants, which were about average. The cold brew that I ordered was pretty good. I was a little confused to see that they don't accept cash, though. There was also no indoor seating, though there was an outdoor patio area with a few tables and chairs that I'm sure would be really nice on a sunny day. Came here for the highly Yelped recommendation of a Red Velvet latte. It was tasty albeit not spectacular. The place was mostly empty which you would think would motivate the man behind the counter to display an ounce of appreciation for a new customer. Instead, I got just about the coldest shoulder I have ever received. Attempting small talk was like pulling teeth. Not sure if this was the owner, but this older gentleman does not belong in a customer facing role. The guy even had the audacity, after ignoring my attempts to chat, to tell me to close the door that had swung open. Would love to return to try each of their intriguing latte flavors. First, I loved the decor and atmosphere in the shop. The staff was also friendly. It's a great place to settle in with a book for a few hours. I ordered a Pumpkin Tea Bread, small medium-dark roast(Old Port), and later followed up with their Chocolate Stout Mocha. The Pumpkin Tea Bread had great flavor. The drinks were average; the coffee seemed a little watered down even for a medium roast; it's also more pricey than average, but perhaps that's because it's in a vacation town. I also ordered two macarons, rose and green tea. These were disappointing, the filling had too much of a buttery texture and taste that it took away from the true flavors. However, given that this is the first place in Maine that I've found macarons in, I shouldn't be that picky. read more

My co-worker recommended this place for our trip to Ogunquit. That location opened in May 2021 during the pandemic. We had to wait in line for about 10 minutes which shows how popular they were. We bought croissants, macarons and a cappuccino. They all tasted great. The cafe is small, but very elegant like one you would see in Paris. Highly recommended for breakfast. SO cute. The entire outside seating area of Mornings in Paris is made to look like a French cafe, down to the EXACT chairs that I saw while in Paris. It was the cutest touch, as was all of the French inspired decor inside the cafe as well. While we got to-go each morning we were in Kennebunkport, there was plenty of seating inside. Our first morning there, we each ordered coffee (Cafe au Lait for me, Columbian roast for BF) and I was asked what I'd like the coffee base for my Cafe au Lait to be, which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered 6 macarons, because I have a weakness for them (pistachio, creme brulee, vanilla, dark chocolate, pb&j, and raspberry). The macarons are thick, with a lot of filling (different from Laduree, but not in a bad way) and were delicious - the pb&j actually tasted exactly like a pb&j and the pistachio filling was creamy and perfect with just the right amount of sweetness. Our second morning we replicated our coffee orders, this time adding in a slice of Maine blueberry coffee cake - the total for two medium coffees and a breakfast pastry coming out to $9, which is a steal in my book, especially for the quality of the coffee (and deliciousness of the coffee cake, and HUGE slice of it). The line moved quickly and service was good overall - no issues whatsoever in that regard from our perspective. Absolutely adorable and such a cute addition to the main Kennebunkport street - I was a little wary of what a Parisian inspired cafe would be like, but was pleasantly surprised by it. This is a quaint little French-inspired cafe that serves all sorts of pastries from macaroons to the classic eclairs! This was the only place I bookmarked in Kennebunkport because I figured we make a quick stop since they have my tea latte here. However, when I ordered a large "London fog", it was way too hot to test out so I assumed they have all the key ingredients that makes a London fog, a London fog: earl grey tea, vanilla syrup, and steamed milk. They forgot the vanilla syrup entirely so it was really bland. I ended up tossing the cup away because we had an event to go to. I don't really want to judge them on that alone since the staff were honestly quite lovely and we ended up coming back because my gf, who comes back to the area at least once a year, love their macaroons! The array of speciality drinks will not disappointment. Fun options such as a Marigold and orange chai tea, honey lavender chai and a Nutella chai make this morning spot my choice to go to. They have regular coffee as well, but I would recommend trying something fun. The pastry case makes it difficult to just pick one-- I had the croissant and was not disappointed. They also had scones, danish, savory croissants and a whole other case filled with appetizing dessert.
