Very disappointed, not freshly made, nothing is fresh, nothing like it said on fb, the beef is already overcooked and they just reheat and doesn't look good nor taste good. I really come all the way here because of the review from David portnoy. Also, 3.84% processing fee on credit card. Just another reason I don't want to be back.

A Schenectady Erie Blvd. icon even under new ownership. Ordered takeout on a Sunday around 3 pm instead of eating in as in the past pre Covid. Not sure of the cleanliness in eating area, but I was not up close to tables. The one outstanding cook and one waitress were busy handling orders for four tables, a postal worker sitting at the counter, and a couple of takeout orders I was aware of. Kudos to them. The waitress was polite when she greeted me at the register by the entrance. The cook was a well oiled machine of efficiency, multi tasking, and purpose. I watched him work since I was waiting by the doorway. He finished my order and checked me out efficiently. He immediately returned to manning his grills. A king size steak sandwich was ordered with onions, peppers, sauce, and provolone cheese. My husband loved it, especially the tender high quality slices/pieces of steak that were used to make the sandwich. The roll was fresh'. The onion rings were good. I wanted the seafood plate, but they were out of fried clams. I had the fish plate. The four pieces of breaded cod were good not great. It was typical frozen fish. The cocktail sauce was homemade and delicious. The cole slaw was very good, but not sure whether it was made in house. The fries were hot and crispy, tasted excellent and so plentiful, I could only eat half. I should have ordered the queen size steak sandwich. The prices were so reasonable they reminded me of prices available a decade ago. The menu had specials and a variety of offerings. Will return soon for take out.

Great place that makes a cheese steak like they do in Philly, literally every thing is good here I personally always get the kings sampler and a king steak with the sauce and onions and peppers it's really my favorite thing. This is my regular go to place

Ok... the joint is old. Like "Nana and Pop-Pop" old. Tables are clean and the paper/ad filled placemats from the 1970's sort of sums up this place's 1970ish vibe. Foodies...You need to check yourself ... this ain't Panera bread... and that is a good thing. The menu is excellent for a sandwich joint and was cooked to order and presented attentively. It's not a "take a client for a fancy power lunch" kind of place....It's an excellent sandwich shop that flavor wise kicks Subway's ass then takes it's lunch money. My Spicy King sub was excellent. While my cardiologist would be appalled I was very pleased! Get over yourself and sit down to an old school, sit down, clean but slightly tired sandwich shop that hasn't changed since the Nixon administration... you'll be glad you did.

Okay, I found out about this place very late in the game. I guess it has changed owners over the years, closed, reopened, etc. In fact, my Lyft driver, who was a local, told me it was closed - on our way to it (6/18/18). He was wrong. It was open and I am happy about that. I must say that I was surprised at how good the food is! The Open Faced King Size Steak Sandwich is humongous. It is enough for 2 people, so of course I ate the whole thing in 15 minutes - with a large order of Bacon and Cheddar Fries. My take out order was still piping hot (actually steaming), after a 15-20 minute drive. I like this diner and the food is delicious, at bargain prices. Try it! #exercise2eatmore

Solid steak sandwich. Fries and rings were really good you could tell the fryer oil was super fresh. Our waitress was really good too. She was on top of everything and was filling our drinks before they were even empty. I read others saying that the portions were small but I felt that my sandwich was perfect. I ate the whole thing but I was pleasantly full and I'm 6'6" 285 lbs. we'll be back!

I hope that Steven Spielberg makes More ETs. The first ET was such a big hit, I don't understand why there were no more. Apparently the owner of More ETs feels the same way. WHAT TO GET: Steak Sandwich WHY: Because I said so I don't get it. This has to be THE most underrated place in the history of Yelp. Usually when Adam Richman (or whoever) has visited a place and said it's great, it usually sucks. Because normally (I think) they have to pay to be on those shows, and if you're paying to be on those shows it's probably because customers won't visit you for the food alone, so you have to "get famous" to sell your products. Not the case with Morette's. Easily one of the most delicious, juiciest sandwiches I've ever eaten. The fact that it's wetter than my ex is a huge bonus because I love wet stuff, but the taste and bread and everything were off the charts good. It was a long wait, but it was worth it. Not the cheapest sandwich in the world, but one of the more delicious American sandwiches, ever. It's a crime, and insane, that it's 2.5 stars when it's a 5-star sandwich. The service was perfectly fine too. I implore everyone to come and try this sandwich and if I'm right, then help get this business rating back where it belongs. The most delicious food item in Schenectady and one of the top 5 in the entire Albany region. Morettes? How about More-ratings. 5 star ones, that is. Total injustice. Yumfest. Try it.

Wanted to love this mom and pop and give to the local community. I would say it was good but wasn't loving it totally. My friend and I started with the queen appetizer which included breaded fried mushrooms, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. All of it was fried to perfection. We also got an large order of onion rings. I think out of the three the onion rings and than the mushrooms were the best. The mozz sticks were on the small size. We both ordered the steaks with provolone cheese, onions and peppers and red sauce. The sauce was very good and thicker then other reviews I read/heard about and flavored well. We were given 3 sauces for dipping: a russian, horseradish and more of that red sauce. All sauces were tasty but I would have liked the raspberry sauce for my mozzarella sticks but that didn't make or break things. The steak was very good, tender but not huge and the roll it came in was nothing special. My friend thought the burgers people were having around us looked good but I guess we'll have to see on another visit.

The owners were there the entire evening, personally overseeing everything and checking on our table several times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. That level of care and attention is something you don't find everywhere. The menu is incredible, with so many tempting options that I already know I'll have to come back multiple times to work my way through it! Everything is made fresh from scratch, and you can truly taste the difference. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad, and it was so good that I completely forgot to take a picture before digging in! To drink, I had not one, but TWO Razzleberry Sparkling Lemonades, made with Tito's Handmade Vodka, lemonade, muddled blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries, topped with Prosecco. They were absolutely delicious and dangerously easy to drink! Two of my friends ordered Mojitos, and they were beautiful, refreshing, and looked absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Shrimp Ravioli, and in his words, it was "excellent" and trust me, he's not easy to impress when it comes to food! He finished his meal with the tiramisu, which was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect ending to the evening. Two of our friends enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie. It was originally intended as a St. Patrick's Day special, but it became so popular that they've added it to the regular menu permanently. After hearing the rave reviews at our table, I can see why! Another friend ordered the Slammin' Piggy Tacos and couldn't stop talking about how good they were. Our other friend had the Jerk Shrimp Tacos and loved those as well. For dessert, I chose the Chocolate Pie, which was absolutely delightful and the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. One thing I especially appreciated was how accessible the restaurant is. It is completely handicapped accessible, which can sometimes be difficult to find, and there is a convenient parking lot right next door that makes getting in and out easy. If you're looking for fresh, homemade food prepared by local owners who genuinely care about the quality of every dish they serve, you need to check this place out. We left happy, full, and already talking about what we'll order on our next visit. We'll definitely be back soon because there are still so many items on the menu I can't wait to try!

It was very good but I have to admit I ordered because I liked the butterfly on the can. I actually liked my friend's dark smoked beer even better. Wayward Lane Brewing's Lifeblood looked like stout and tasted a bit like smoked bacon to me even though it was supposed to feature notes of toasted brown bread and caramelized sugar. My friend also had truffle ( mushroom) fries and a smash burger. He loved the meal. Dove & Deer is a pretty place. Attractive furniture and light fixtures. Big windows. From Michael the manager, meeting & greeting us to checking in on us while we were dining, to Emma, our server waiting on us, anticipating our every single need, to the food being cooked to perfection. I cannot recommend enough how this is the go to place in upstate NY. THIS IS THE PLACE We waited for a few members of our party with two martinis at the bar, which cost $38. I deconstructed the Cosmo, which was a splash of peach and kettle one which was a three dollar of charge for an $18 drink. We had the back room for a large party (9)Servers staff were friendly and accommodating. I was surprised at how long it took too get seated. The seafood tower of lovely had asked for warm butter. The side dishes are all à la carte but the potatoes and the asparagus excellent. Mistakes were done as ordered just been prepared for price shock. I recommend the crème brûlée for dessert and the naughty Irishman coffee.. overall was a nice experience with attentive, weight, staff and creative and with a sense of humor! I personally cannot afford to go there except for very special occasions. A meal at Ruth's Chris feels like an event. There's so much anticipation. Yes, the prices are high but it seems that you get what you pay for. A wonderful meal with top notch service and ambiance. I did not find it pretentious. I was concerned that it might be. There is no dress code. While some dressed up, others were casually dressed. One man even showed up in a very wrinkled shirt and the staff treated him as well as any other guest. The wait staff is amazing. Our server was Valbon. He was gracious, helpful and very thorough in describing food preparation. My friend had a Porterhouse Steak prepared medium well done with just a bit of pink. It was a massive steak. He said it was prepared perfectly. Same for the mashed potatoes and asparagus. I don't eat much red meat. Valbon recommended the sea bass for me. It was remarkably tender. I enjoyed the sautéd vegetables, too. I was amazed that I finished my entire meal. My friend took part of his giant steak home and enjoyed it the next day. I asked for a light cocktail. A vodka-based Lemon Drop martini was recommended for me. It's a popular drink there. It was just right. Ruth's Chris is a chain. I know that some people frown on eating at restaurant chains because of quality concerns. But Ruth's Chris is fine dining and the food preparation is apparently held to high standards. Our meals were enjoyable. It was our first time trying this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. They added decorations on our table and also gave my wife a small cake and candle which was a nice gesture. Steak was great and service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and even the manager stopped at our table to greet us. We will definitely come back.

We were sat in the new seating area adjacent to the River and the view was gorgeous and I had excellent light for photos. Our server was very professional and kind. We started out with cocktails and I asked if they had blue cheese stuffed olives, and he said he would stuff some for me - score! They were delicious too. Hand stuffed is the way to go. I had a perfect dirty martini and my sister tried one of the signature cocktails. Both were great! They also had a pretty affordable wine list. We started with the complementary bread and ordered the tuna poke dish. The bread was good and the everything seasoned butter was fun. The tuna dish was pretty basic and good. We asked for some more wontons and it was no problem. Again, we really did have great service. My sister ordered the scallops over lobster risotto and I ordered a steak. The risotto was perfect and actually had a good amount of tender lobster. I am picky with risotto and they nailed it. I ordered the ribeye with mushrooms. It came out perfectly cooked, and was a good quality piece of meat. It was perfectly matched with the mushrooms. My sister ordered the sticky toffee cake and she enjoyed it, I am not too big on sweets. Overall, I would come back here.
